We replaced the tire with my spare donut from the back but as those are only supposed to drive 50-70 miles and we had 300+ miles left to go, we needed to buy a longer lasting spare tire or replacement tire. My AAA - freakin useless, my liberty mutual roadside - useless, called every tow company, tire shop and roadside service in eastern Iowa, and in Illinois... not like we were in the middle of nowhere. Found one roadside that would bring a spare tire but they wanted $1,000 card hold..... We spoke to 30+ different places within that hour... Tires24 was literally the only place somewhat on the way that was open late. Someone answered right away, the guy on phone was patient and nice, assured us he would take us, even though we couldn't get there until right before closing because we had to drive below speed limit on the donut. When we got there, Lamont (the gentleman working) greeted us and understood and sympathized with our stressful trip there. He replaced the tire efficiently and was super professional and welcoming. The cost was surprisingly affordable, we weren't there very long at all which was great because we were exhausted. Lamont saved our asses and we highly recommend anyone in the NW illinois area call these guys first for tire and auto issues.

I called for a quote on engine repair for my 2011 Jeep Cherokee and was later quoted $13,000.00 to replace the engine. The engine itself only cost $2,500-$3000, so this company was attempting to charge me $10,000+ in labor and taxes. I have the estimate as proof! I am very well educated in automotive repair and it does not cost $13k to replace an engine on a vehicle with a 3.6 engine. The normal price range is $4k-$5500. I'm not sure if this was racially motivated but I will never visit this company or refer anyone to this company! Sheisters!!! I called prior to going, having never been to this establishment, and spoke with the owner, Mark. He was friendly and informative; he honestly just gave me a good vibe from the get go. He said no appointment was needed, just come on through. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Mark and his employee, Kevin. There was no wait to get my car in, like Mark had said over the phone, and Kevin began working on my tire almost immediately. They let me watch everything that was happening (I like to see the process out of curiousity) and just stand right there in the garage with them. (I should note here that I was completely safe and was in a cleared out area next to my vehicle) They told me that the tire that had blown out had "wear" on a specific place that suggested it had been aligned wrong previously. (THANKS! Scott's U-Save; see my review on that joke of an establishment) It took maybe 15 minutes to finish the job but I ended up staying there for about 20 minutes afterwards just talking and joking around with them like we were close friends. It cost me $35 for a used tire but it was the extremely friendly and fun (& professional!)customer service at Witvoet that will keep my business. They truly made me feel like a family member instead of a customer with money. I left with a smile on my face for not only being surprised by the great service this small business offered but also in knowing I hadn't been taken advantage of.
