I just had my car washed and clay bar waxed for $50!!, and when they were done, what did I find? They didn't even WASH the front of my car, let alone, WAX it. I get in the car, already disappointed, to see that my iPhone earphones aren't there! They are always in my center console, ALWAYS, and I looked all over the car, including in the glove box and on the floor under the seats, NOT THERE!! I get the guy that wrote my ticket when I pulled up, explain the situation to him, he calls the guy that did my car over, asks him in Spanish if he has seen my earphones, and....wait for it.....he hadn't seen them!! Really?? What did he think was going to happen??? The guy would pull them out of his pocket and tell him,"Yes, I have them, I stole them, here you go"??!! I ask for the manager and the guy tells me "Buy some new ones and bring me the receipt, I will give you the money for them"....OK so he's going to remember me?? I ask or him to give that to me in writing and he has the cashier girl write on a piece of a receipt(!) that he will pay for the earphones when I bring him the receipt, and he walks away before she is done writing it down!! She has to call him back on the loud speaker to sign the scrap of paper for me....he was not at all interested in the fact that his employees are thieves!!!! This is my favorite place to get a oil change. Not only does it come with a complimentary car wash but they stand outside in the unbearable heat and still manage to make your car look brand new inside and out. There was about 6 people in front of me waiting for their car and I was out of there in about 15 minutes. Amazing! read more

Been coming here for years. Always great service Noticed a lackluster morale amongst the workers in late 2015. Found out why: the previous owner was terrible to his employees. Didn't pay them just before he bailed. New ownership now. Many of the same employees still here and in better spirits. Able is managing this place day to day, and his folks are back to doing great car washes. Give them a new chance. They all want to show you why this is the best car wash in SCV. I will never go to Lyon's Car Wash again. On one occasion I received an oil change with a car wash, and immediately there was something wrong with my car. I had no problems up to this point with my car battery, but immediately after this oil change, my car battery died while I was picking up furniture in town. When I brought it to Auto Zone, they said that somebody had pushed the caps down on my car battery, causing it to explode! There was only one person who had touched my car that day, and that was Lyon's Car Wash! On another occasion, the owner misled me to purchase a car wash that was incredibly expensive and didn't return the results that I paid for. I am all in for supporting local businesses and am slow to give a poor review. However now I warn people from going to Lyon's Car Wash! Save your money, your car, and just go somewhere! read more

This took place over Memorial Day weekend 2012. Older gentleman greeted me when I arrived and hurriedly asked what I wanted. I ask if I can combine coupons and get a wash and wax and he just grunted something barely understandable and I didn't dare ask him to repeat. He handed me a ticket with a price on it ($45) and I'm on my way to the cashier. I ask the cashier what the numbers on the coupon mean and she just kinda babbled something about wash 1 and wash 2. Whatever. So far my first impression of this place isn't very favorable. I sit outside waiting for them to wash and wax the vehicle which I estimated to be about 45 min to an hour. About 1 hour elapses and I don't know if they've finished but they parked it in a different location. Usually they twirl the towel when they finish but nope. I just sat and waited. Finally, a few minutes after that I get tired of waiting and ask someone near my car if they've finished and they said yes. I still gave them a tip because the job was done nicely from what I can see. Next day, I take our other car there for the same service. This time I was wise to their madness and watched them until they finished so I wouldn't waste time sitting there looking like some random creepy person just hanging out at the car wash. You know who I'm talking about! :) Fast forward a month or so and I wash our cars at home and the water is not beading at all. If I wax the car, water still beads at 1 month. So I just paid $40+ for a wax service that doesn't bead water? Such a waste of money. I'll save the aggravation and just do it myself from now on. Plus I'll also know what actually goes on the car vs some crappy pretend brand "X" wax that they use. I buy the good stuff. read more

WARNING!!! If you have a black car..stay away..I am not too picky about my brand new black jeep wrangler, but I do expect a GOODJOB for $30..what I got was water spots all over the windows and paint from noting being attended to right after it came out of the wash. It sat for about 10mins before someone started drying it..thank god I got Opti-Coat installed on the brand new paint job by Autoskinz here in town so the hard water spots won't stain the paint, not to mention all the bugs and bird crap wont edge my paint and I never have to get my car waxed ever again...thats the place to go for a amazing wash or detail for only $35.... I will be taking my business somewhere else, I am very disappointed with the work ethic this place now has. If you have a black car stay away. read more

My buddy took his car there for a detail/oil change and now his car is at the dealership with a seized engine because LYONS CAR WASH didn't put any oil in it. They so far have not owned up to this and if they proceed to not own up to there mistake I will make sure people know how they ruin cars. read more

Below average. Left bug smears on grill, streaks on rear-passenger window, and even gum on front air-dam. I watched them wipe down the sides of the doors and then use the same rag to wipe down the interior. Thanks for making my interior dirtier than how I brought it in. There was no sense of service. No greeting on arrival, no run-down of available services - he literally just stood there until I saw the brief menu on the wall, no estimate of how long it would take or where to pay, and I had to track somebody down when it was finished because - not being a regular - I had no idea some guy spinning a rag on his finger as he walked away from the car is supposed to be a signal to go there. read more

I always came here to get my oil changed. Since it was cheap, I excused the fact that the free car wash was poorly done most of the time. They usually left cup holders sticky and didn't vacuum. The last time I went here, when I got in my car after they were done washing it, I noticed they broke my necklace that was hanging from my rear view mirror. The car wasn't very clean on the inside and still not vacuumed well. Then about a month later, I decide to check my water and oil and realize that the hood release cable is MISSING! It took me a while to find, I thought they had completely ripped it out. No, they just broke the handle, then shoved it behind and tangled it with some wires trying to hide it. They didn't fix or tell me about it! I don't even want to bother going back in and arguing with someone about it. Just completely unacceptable. 1st and 2nd time I had a bad experience won't be back for a 3rd, first time I started off with Waiting 35 minutes to get some help for an oil change. Then after they did the oil they had left my car at the carwash section for a while before taking care of it as they were doing car after car that drove in.... I thought maybe it was an off day for them so decided to come back today. Today they had spilled something in my back seat and it smells horrible. I asked for an air freshener and maybe a towel so at least I could wipe it out of the seat a little. Not sure what it was that spilled but after asking they said I'd have to pay for them to shampoo it out.... Uhhhh Why would I be charged for your companies mistake? Anyways they offered no help, no towel, no air freshener and only would help if I paid.... Money definitely isn't a problem for me, it's just common courtesy of offering help to your customer when an employee messed up. The interior of this place is comfortable, with TV and air conditioning. They don't sell motor oil separately, which is confusing considering they offer oil changes. The car washes are fine, but they over charges for washes and oil changes, with no better quality compared to other businesses. We asked for the $40 oil change, and was billed over $60 for services and parts not offered upfront or explained. If you need your car serviced, do yourself a favor and head over to Simply Smog, just a few minutes away from here. They treat their customers right, and will explain every charge on the bill for service. Mention the yelp reviews for a discount. read more

Been coming here for years. They do a good job 95% of the time. Prices are reasonable to the area. Facility is always clean. I don't like how they haggle you to get a hand wax every time. It's best to get here early in the AM because it does get crazy busy after 10AM on weekends. Only giving them 3 out of 5 stars for the mere fact that they got my car key fob stuck under my seat in the track where the seat goes back and forth. I thought something was weird when I saw 3-4 guys working on the inside of my car, and we're turning the car on and off several times. When they were done they called me over and said keys were in car and walked away without telling me fob was stuck under seat track. When I couldn't find the fob, I panicked, and that's when they tell me that it was stuck under seat track. They did try for another 30 min to get it out. Unfortunately, I ended up having to take my car into the shop to have seat removed completely in order to get my key fob out. I understand that not every day can be sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns, but just be honest if something goes wrong. read more

I was walking to pay the cashier for my carwash and all I see is the man who takes the order running after me saying I dropped a $100 bill. I was shocked that he was so honest and didn't take it. I brought my car in and agreed with one of the mechanics for service for a set price. I was going to bring it in one week later when they had time to work on it. I brought it in on Sat 3-23 and this clown calling himself the manager re-nigged on the deal. I've also heard of stories where they agree to take recycled oil, and then when you go to the trouble of showing up, they change their mind. They have comfortable chairs while you wait on your oil change and car wash, the guys who wash your car are very respectful and sweet always open the door for me and close it after I go inside. When people complain about oil change, it is usually because their car had problems before going in for an oil change. Just had my car washed today and my car's interior got wet because one of the staffs popped my driver's window slightly open. I addressed the problem to the owner/manager and instead of being accountable, he blamed me for leaving my window open. Really? PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS TERRIBLE BUSINESS! Let me explain. I just took my 2010 Toyota Prius in for an oil change. Everything seemed fine until I got on the freeway and heard a loud dragging noise. I pulled over and looked under my car and saw a large piece dragging on the ground. I took it straight to the dealer. The first thing the dealer said to me was you obviously just had your oil changed and the gravel guard which is like a door to access the filter and such for an oil change was not put back properly. It cost me $265 to replace. The "owner" of the car wash told me his guys did it right and refused to pay. He insulted me my saying I must have hit a curb! Just left there after getting an oil change and realized a Whole Foods grocery bag had been removed from the back seat. Fortunately it contained nothing more valuable than recyclables. However, someone took something from my car without my permission -- and they were my recyclables. When I called to ask about it, I got Abel who said he was the manager. He wasn't very nice or helpful. He was defensive and dismissive (after asking me to repeat myself as if he didn't understand. Is that just a reflex or what?) When I said I'd give a bad review on Yelp, he said "So what, I'll post a picture of this bag." ??? I won't take my car there EVER again. I've always gone there -- for at least the past six years. They just lost a customer. If Abel had been nice and acted like he cared, I might have thought nothing of it. Although I do find it troubling that someone would take something -- no matter what -- from a customer's car without first asking. If that bag had been trash, as Abel claimed, I would have thrown it away myself. They never really ever did a very good job wiping down the inside of my car, but the outside has always been OK. I came here a few times it was 20.99 for the 2nd to the last choice. I came here and the guy was rushing me. He asked what did I want and I told him he seemed like he was inpatient but trying to smile. I told him I wanted to take some trash out of my car. So while I was doing that he entered in the drivers side and told me to close the door while I was taking the trash out, in a rude tone with an smile. I closed the door and her drove up in the line. I looked at him like I was not done throwing out the trash out of my car. I know he wanted to move my car up the line cause it was busy. He could of helped me or asked me in a nice tone. It took a while , they could of cleaned my car the inside a little better and the trunk but it was my fault cause my trunk was full of my stuff.
