Ok. This is a tricky review. I used to love this place and still do, depending on who is working. I'm not impressed with the new help (side show bob) The kid doesn't even know how to pour oil (into the hole it goes) he's good at getting oil everywhere else tho.I would assume that would be the first thing they teach him since that is his only job. Also the guy that was actually doing the work acted like he hates life. I understand its a very repetitive job, but take a little pride in your work. I don't trust this place. Received an oil change from Dave at dipstick. I checked underneath my car later in the evening and noticed my oil guard panel underneath my engine was removed and not put back. I thought to myself that it could have been a mistake. I went back in the morning and he had the panel to my car and said he forgot to put it on and then told me it's not necessary to put that panel back on. I'm really disappointed and will not be coming back to dipstick from a trust stand point. I don't trust them. Panels are suppose to go back on the car. Please be aware. read more

I have been going to this shop for a long time and have referred a number of people. When my husband's truck started acting up, I convinced him to go there. $1200 later, they said they did what they could. Huh? Check engine light still on mind you. We got the truck home and not 24 hours later, the same issues not only came back, but worse! Truck suddenly sped up for no reason and my husband narrowly missed getting in an accident. They were not willing to refund any portion of the repairs, btw. So...we finally found another mechanic thankfully! The DipStick had put in the WRONG PARTS...seriously?! $400 bucks later, the truck is purring like a kitten. So in a nutshell, charged us for the wrong thing, did a crappy job and overchargrd! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK AND I CAUTION ANYONE CONSIDERING TAKING THEIR CAR TO THEM. read more

It's really difficult to find auto shops you can trust in a new town, but I called Rich, explained my car's weird exhaust and power problems, he had me come in to diagnose the issue and then worked with me until we figured out the problem. He also charged the most reasonable rate I've ever been offered for any auto work ever. (I also got an oil change here last month that was quick and efficient, totally last minute.) These guys are local and don't take advantage of totally out of their element out-of-towners. Thank you for your patience with me and my car, and for guiding me towards next steps! Needed an oil and filter change for our Honda. I have passed the dip stik for years but never stopped. Yesterday I decided to give them a try and boy am I glad I did. The price, service and conversation were all fantastic. There was no attempt to upsell or pressure. Checked my fluid levels. Even though there was a vehicle ahead of me I was out in about 20 minutes. I had been paying close to $100.00 for the same service at Valvoline. I won't say what I paid here, but suffice it to say I was happy. Give the little guy a try. You won't regret it. Despite the other yelp reviews, I only experienced poor to mediocre service. His attitude was gruff and acted like I was bothering him. I paid a fair to good price for an oil change and since I just bought the car used I asked him to "check it over" at least fluids and whatnot. I basically gave him mechanics gold of "find stuff wrong with it so you can sell me other services". Well, I know he didn't check the automatic transmission fluid because while detailing the interior of the car today I found the dip stick for the transmission (which is weird, but not his doing). I looked in the engine bay and sure enough, the transmission was open to the elements. Luckily I caught it before my transmission seized! While changing the transmission fluid myself, I also saw a bunch of engine oil all over the bottom of the engine, presumably from the recent oil change, so maybe he spilled and didn't wipe off, or worse, maybe the oil filter isn't seated well and it's leaking? I won't be returning, which is a bummer, I wanted to like this place. read more

They also stand by their work, when I had a slight leak after a transmission change they had me come back, fixed the issue and gave me cement cleaner to fix the leak on my driveway!!! Literally the worst service I have ever had. I went in for a coolant flush which I was told that it would take an hour. They literally took 15 minutes and didn't clean out my reservoir tank.All the gentleman did was disconnect my main radiator hose drain it and fill it back up with antifreeze. For this he charged me $105.00. He had no pride in his work just wanted to get me out of there. To top it off he handed me a gallon of antifreeze and sad I would need to fill it up because it would get air bubbles and charged me for that too! I do not recommend this place at all! read more

What a joke! Absolute rip off. Guy told me I needed a new hose for my radiator. He forced the hose trying to remove it and broke my radiator and charged me for a new one! Never going back to this place. You'd have to be a "dip stick" to trust this guy with your car! read more
