I would suggest you steer clear of this man. He submitted a claim to my insurance company and also charged me for work he didn't complete. I needed a root canal and he referred me to an out of network dentist. I found another dentist that was willing to do the work. The first question asked was if i was prescribed antibiotics. I had growth that Lyons ignored. I could go on, but after 8 months he called me to say he had a crown to put in. Told him it wouldn't fit, and he hung up on me. I have been a patient of Dr. Lyons for over 10 years. I'm always taken back for my appointment on time, sometimes even early. His staff is friendly and professional and he is always pleasant and kind. My husband switched over to his practice many years ago too and we both highly recommend him. read more

I have only been a patient of Dr. Lyons for about 6 months and from the very first appointment I found him incredibly cold. He rushes through the appointment and has zero personality. He's incredibly arrogant. I was set to have a significant procedure done by him but I was becoming hesitant of letting him since he never would discuss the process or next steps. You can't ask him any questions. He dismisses you. I've never dealt with anyone more unprofessional! Being in the medical field I would think he'd have a higher standard. I was with Dr. Lyons when he was over by St. Peter's hospital. He is a very nice man but when he got into his new office after a few visits he said I needed a periodontitis and not to come back to him. I don't know what happened but after that my insurance changed it was over. He also said I didn't need the deep cleaning that another dentist Dr. Banner, did. New office , richer clients. read more

Dr. Lyons is the Most Unprofessional,Arrogant, Rude & poor excuse for a dentist, who bashes all his dental colleagues. He was the dentist for our family for 8 months and he couldn't even get a crown on right, tells you he's triple booked as he rips a crown out w/out novocaine which damaged my root. Dr. Lyons repeatedly tells me my teeth are a train wreak and doesn't know what else he can do for me. I had perfect teeth until I had this poor excuse for a dentist. Every time you went which was often there was a different Hygienist. Every time I planned on leaving something else went wrong. My bite was consistently off which he reluctant would file down. All he had to do was to put in a simple crown over my 1st implant. I ended up at a oral surgeon and Endodontist to correct the mess he created. He denies receiving calls and notes from my Endodontist and oral surgeon when they had questions. I won't even get into the damage he did to my son and daughter. Dr. Lyons way of fixing all of this, was to send each of us a Certified letter ending his relationship with us. Canceling all our appointments and seeing us for a month on an emergency basis. Of course, my certified letter contained a letter to a person of the opposite sex ending his relationship with that person too! Bet he messed that person up too and his resolution is to rid that patient as well. WHO TREATS PEOPLE & DOES THAT! A Coward and poor excuse for a dentist does, that Lyons for you! Dr. Lyons was my dentist for several years and I had no complaints. I was referred to him because he was excellent at bonding work and I have several teeth including my front teeth with significant bonding. The bonding chips and breaks somewhat significantly about 1x a year. I had my front tooth chip on a Saturday and left a message with an answering service I believe to ask for a call back about repairing the tooth if possible over the weekend as I had an occasion that evening and wanted to show up with my teeth intact. He promptly called me back and we agreed upon a time to meet at his office for the repairs. When I arrived he was there with an assistant / hygienist, and did not greet me whatsoever and was quiet unfriendly to say the least. I was apologetic for the inconvenience etc, with little to no response from either. The repairs were completed and I left. The following Tuesday I received a letter dismissing me from the practice. I attempted to call Dr. Lyons , left messages w/ reception, I wrote a letter and even stopped by the office when those went unanswered. He did not have the courtesy to respond or discuss the matter. I was a regular patient who was on time, paid any bill timely and keeps general care of their oral hygiene. I feel his behavior was very unprofessional and lack of response shows his lack of general respect for patients. I have since run into ex-patients with similar stories and experiences. I would not recommend this practice to anyone based on my experience . I never would have accepted the appointment had I known I would be treated as I was. read more

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. Staff is rude. They shedualed me for an appointment without letting me know and charged me 50$ for missing it without ever letting me know one was made for me in the first place. I have been going to Dr. Lyons' office for over 10 years now and no matter what dental insurance plan I have, I always make sure it's accepted by them because I refuse to go anywhere else. All of the front office staff are very friendly, they call you to remind you of your appointment, pleasant when you go to check-in, and always have a smile on their face. The dental hygienists do an amazing job cleaning your teeth and I never had an issue pain wise. The office is very clean, the seats are comfortable, and in the dental chair there is a tv for you to watch. Dr. Lyons always comes in at the end of the appointment to check on your teeth and he's brief and concise and I like that. There have been times where my health insurance didn't cover a cleaning from them (thank you military) and I have paid out of pocket, and would much rather pay out of pocket than go to somewhere else. It's not a bad price either. Check them out, it's worth it. read more
