Amazing nail salon and I would recommend this place to anyone. I made an appointment for my mother and I to receive pedicures together and I wanted to get dip powder for the first time as well. I needed to make a $25 deposit over the phone for each person but this was applied to our overall cost at the end. I didn't mind doing this and the person on the phone was friendly and efficient. The salon is decorated nicely and very clean. They also sat my mother and I together which I appreciated since at some places they seat you far away so you cannot talk. The nail technicians were pleasant and when it came time for my dip nails, I asked a lot of questions (and I mean A LOT!). I usually keep my AirPods in when I get my nails done but the team and clients are fun to engage with. You don't have to wait but a few minutes if you're one of the first appointments... and I noticed other appointments after me didn't have to wait but a few minutes... a few minutes meaning no more than 10 but most likely 5! Got a mani-pedi with my boyfriend. They did an excellent job with my feet/toes, but they upsold me on getting gel and did not tell me the price. It was extremely expensive, almost $100 for entire mani-pedi, which is insane!!! Also they said it would not chip and it's been only a few days and my left thumbnail chipped already... The guy destroyed my cuticles, making three of my fingers bleed! He then covered them with glue to seal them. It was sorta painful. You can see the chip and the glue in my photos. This was my first time at Bang N Jen. My nail tech was Lily (sp?) and she did great! I don't get my nails done often so I like to make the splurge worth it. I asked for soft pink-white ombre gel nails with a pointy almond shape, and got exactly what I wanted. I love them! To book an appointment, they require a deposit that is counted towards the total cost of the service. You can pay with Venmo or Cashapp. My nail tech also had a personal Venmo/Cashapp for tips. Found Bangnjen on Yelp and I was looking for a place nearby to get my nails done, and their IG and Yelp pics seemed like they were good with doing details and man was my intuition right! When I first called them to make an appointment, Bang gave me all instructions and deposit process, which was easy and concise to follow. Hello, I debated writing a review until now when I saw my toe. Yesterday, I had an appointment at 1pm for SNS and a pedicure. I spent $115 and gave a $30 tip. They text me to see if I could come earlier and then called again. I was able to arrive early so in my opinion I was accommodating them. They used a nail file and buffer from the pedicure cabinet and from the manicure nail drawer. I assumed cause of COVID files, buffers and pumice stones used on a client would be disposable. I should have asked for new ones so I own that. I was cut on my right pinky and my big toe is messed up. IMO they weren't that clean. I think she used a dirty tool as well while I was getting SNS. Will not be returning even though she was a very nice person. read more

Very solid place to get your nails done, especially if you want to have more intricate designs! I came here with a friend for a girl's day and overall had a positive experience. Jen and Bang are both technically wonderful, and the end product speaks for itself. My only qualm is that the wait was longer than expected. Even with an appointment, it took a while for us to get started, and there were pockets of down-time in between while they were tending to other clients. However, (with the caveat that I don't get my nails done often), this is probably the best place I've been to in the area, so certainly worth a visit! read more

I really want to write a good review for this place because Bang is such a nice guy but my nails aren't up to par. I came in on a Saturday around noon for a pedicure and SNS manicure and they seemed to be very busy. There was a bit of a delay before I was served but I didn't mind. I got a pedicure which was great except that it chipped less than 24 hours later. My manicure was rushed and My cuticles were ripped off so aggressively that I started to bleed. A day later, my fingers are still sore and I have cuts. It's also apparent that the manicure was rushed- the color is uneven and there are areas that are clumpy. After the SNS, the manicure was sealed with gel polish and a gel light which I have never seen combined with sns and I believe defeats the point of SNS altogether. I'm not sure if I'll give this place another chance but I was disappointed. read more

It may have been an off day b/c literally every chair was filled in the salon; but this was hands down the worst mani/Pedi I have ever had. I was there for 2.5 hours! Awful experience. Especially pedicure....uncomfortable seat and a large tub that didn't even use liners. It was hard to get comfortable as the bench seating is not adjustable. And I sat with a bowl filled with acetone on my lap soaking my previous Dip Nails off. I literally soaked my hands in acetone for 40 min. And my fingers were covered in the actual sticky film which was difficult to get off later. In less than a week, my pedicure was chipping on both feet and multiple nails. That's first for me. The gentleman who did my dip manicure was very friendly and professional, however, after 1.5 weeks my dip is starting to separate from my nails. My nails are different lengths and shapes but honestly just wanted to get out of there when it was said and done. No hand massage either. Would never go to again. Charged me full price to lazily do over my dip powder I already came in with but made it seem like it was a different service or cheaper price to reapply dip on old dip. Never has any other salon reapply French manicure dip powder over an old French mani dip power set. Not only is he a beast with designs, but Bang is also the Color Whisperer! I am notoriously fanatical about my nails matching my toes. I can honestly say, I have not once been disappointed with their color matches. I love this place and was an every 2 wk customer for years, but decided to venture out when my regular nail tech left. For the few years since then, I have gone to various spots and recently tried SNS at one of them. They only had a few matches and most I didn't like, so I went on a hunt. I found that most places within 30 - 45 mins. don't have polish matches for their dipping powders. That reminded me about Bang and Jen's. I called for a same day appointment on a Friday afternoon and they got me in 2hrs later. And now for my favorite part...they had powder, gel, and regular polishes all matched up with a numbering system! You can choose any combo of formulations and they have a dead on match. Most of the powders were SNS, and they have TONS of colors, but they have lots of brands of regular and gel polish too. That's how you know their matches are spot on. Lots of brands can't match the same exact color across all the various formulations. Vicky was my tech and I got SNS (dip nails, dip powder, dipping powder, etc.), a deluxe pedicure with regular polish, and 8 designs (4 on my hands, 4 on my toes). My deluxe pedicure was THE BOMB.com. It comes with soak, cuticle trim, filing, callus remover scrub, mask, paraffin wax, masque, and hot stone massage. All that for just $55!!! A steal, especially for the area. The stones were crazy hot, but Vicky moved them continuously so they were very soothing and didn't burn me at all. I had broken a couple nails and she put tips on and used the powder to fill it in. I didn't even know that was possible. After my nails were done, she passed me off to Bang for my designs. I showed him the picture and he nailed it on the first try. I'm in love with my nails and made my next appointment before I left. If you go check em out, you probably will too. read more

I hate to say I came here because after years of my old nail salon I needed a salon that was upgraded with more colors, but it's the truth. I've been here before and was impressed by their IG page and the array of colors available. This salon is very trendy. Vickie is my nail stylist and Amanda does most of my pedicures.
