Long overdue review. I'm not sure what changed with the management here, but my experience with the current management "Kevin" was extremely disappointing. My biggest issue was the amount of guessing involved with diagnosing my truck. My A/C originally stopped working, so I brought my truck in to have it inspected and find out what needed to be repaired. Within about 5-10 minutes of looking at it, I was told the A/C compressor was the problem. I was given two options, one of which was presented as the "sure fix." I decided to have the compressor replaced, along with another recommended part. Within 3 days, the A/C was blowing hot air again. I brought it back, and I was then told there was another issue involving a part where a bolt had supposedly needed to be broken off during the previous repair they did and that may have been where it was leaking from. That part was replaced, and I took the truck home. The very next day, the A/C was blowing hot again. I brought it back again and was then told the high-pressure switch was the problem. I paid to have that part replaced. The following day, the A/C was blowing hot again. At this point, I had already spent over $1,000 in parts and labor, and the original problem still wasn't fixed. They eventually put UV dye in the system (after the third time I took it back) to try to locate a leak. After inspecting it, I was told they couldn't find the leak and that the truck would be taken to another shop (his uncles) that specialized in A/C systems. I was then told that both the condenser and evaporator were bad and needed to be replaced. I received an estimate for over $3,400. Instead of spending another $3,400 based on another diagnosis, I took the truck to an A/C specialist I trust. They diagnosed the problem as the condenser. I ended up spending about $160 and replaced the condenser myself. The A/C has been working great since. So instead of spending another $3,400 on repairs that weren't necessary, I spent $160 and fixed the actual problem myself. There were also several issues with items on my truck while it was at the shop. The first time, my low-pressure A/C cap was missing. When I brought it up, I was told it had already been missing. The second time, I got home and realized there were multiple shop sockets left on my windshield. The third time, my high-pressure A/C cap was missing. When I brought up my concerns about parts going missing, I was told one of the caps had already been missing and that finding the A/C leak was more important. Yes, an A/C cap may only be a few dollars, but that's not really the point. It's about paying attention to customers' vehicles and keeping track of things while they're in your shop. I also recently noticed that a rubber rain guard along the side of my hood was missing. I can't say for certain when or how it went missing, but it was there before these visits and wasn't there afterward. My biggest takeaway from this experience is that I felt like I was paying for one repair after another without the actual problem being properly identified. If I wanted to guess which part was bad and replace parts until something worked, I could have done that in my own garage. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion from a reputable A/C specialist before authorizing any type of repairs here. I personally will not be bringing my truck back or recommending this shop. read more

One of the worst experiences as a customer. I came to the shop as I was having issues with my Honda pilot; Spent $300 on diagnostics and they said my alternator needed to be replaced. Spent another $450 + to have Alternator replaced. Week later started having the same issue. Took it back to the shop; this time my "relay switch" needs to be replaced which I was going to be looking at another $500-$899. You would think they would have caught this issue from the first place? Their guarantee on their work means nothing. On top of that, when I went to pick up my car, it took another 1hr. + for my car to be ready. Waste of time. Ps: this does not include them forgetting to do my tires rotation from the first service and no follow up call backs. read more

Mercedes broke down in area. Couldn't bring to my reliable mechanic. Asked if could repair Mercedes. Said yes. What a mistake. Fuel pump and sending unit failed from 2 years replacement. Ok. He replaces. Get home. 100 miles. Car breaks down. Same problem. Kevin uses generic scanner. Starts throwing parts at it. Battery, Fuse box. Doesn't work. Brings in Mercedes mechanic buddy. Has car for 34 days and drives 400 Miles !!!!!!! ISM reprogram as well. Take car home. Next day. Same problem. Took to my mechanic. Wire short fixed. New fuel pump and sending unit. Months later. Still good. I had to fight to get the last invoice paid for but Kevin will not reimburse for Battery, Fuse Box or ISM. All not needed. Not even the excessive miles used. 400 miles ! and didn't fix it. Of course he smooth talks the BAR saying I approved it. I DID NOT !!!! All I could approve is his Mercedes mechanic coming in on weekends. With a proper scanner... I thought YOU could repair Mercedes ??? You couldn't. !! Worst experience of my life and I'm 65. Lots of experience. Don't listen to his lame response. Its pathetic excuses. Pay me part of the $3700 you cost me. No excuses. read more

I literally had to call multiple times a day to see if the part I payed for and ordered was delivered to fix my car. He kept on giving me bs saying it'll arrive on the specified day and I took off work multiple times because he said the part will be there. So finally got the part yet it was the incorrect part to fix my car. His electrician obviously has no idea on what he's doing, so I asked for full refund he said his wife will call me to reimburse me yet never did, so I drove down there to talk with him and he gave me an attitude like he was doing me a favor. This place is the biggest scam! They have horrible service and do not know how to properly work on cars. They have been ripping off my parents for years (my parents are elderly people who do not know any better). They replaced suspension parts that did not need to be touched, which caused a new noise. When the car was taken back to this shop to fix this noise, they did more unnecessary work that did not fix the original issue. Here is the real kicker: it turns out the suspension parts they installed were left loose! We found this out when we went to get an alignment elsewhere. I would never trust this shop, and urge anyone else to not go here. read more

Took car in for spark plug change, I was quoted $180, (I had the new spark plugs). I was charged $228 for it. Worst part was they changed my oil and air filter without consulting me. My son who normally does my vehicle maintenance had changed the oil 2,000 miles before and I changed the air filter 2 months before. When I started to take my family's cars here, M&K were great about getting the cars in without having to make an appointment and the work was good. I never had to bring the cars back because something wasn't done right. The last six (6) months have been terrible. Not only did I have to bring my cars back for incomplete or erroneous work, but often the car would come back to me with something damaged by the work M&K had done. A check engine light fix, or replacing the dash, resulted in a dash with no lights, the wrong odometer reading (60k too high) and a blown radio. The radio and dash were repaired but now the odometer was wrong in the other direction (50k too low), the airbag light was on, and my brights didn't work. These cars carry my family. I need them to be safe. The lack of quality control at M&K gives me the impression that something major has changed at this shop. I can't trust them to take care of my cars any more. I wish the owner well, but it's not worth the risk to bring my cars in, with the sloppy work that's been done here lately. read more

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience that put our family in danger. We had the front struts changed and car balanced. After a few days later, the tires began to wear to the point that they were bald. Luckily, we became aware before a serious accident took place. This could have resulted in a dangerous tragedy as we drive on the freeway daily with our two kids. When we took the car back to the mechanic, the owner did not want to take responsibility. He said that it was not his fault. He did offer to align the car but did not want to take responsibility for the damaged tires. The pictures of the semi new tire are from the back. This is exactly how all tires were when I took it to the shop. You can see the difference. The unfortunate part is the the owner seemed very nice and caring at first; however his true colors came out. He lied on several occasions and does not have integrity. While I only wanted was what was fair, to get things fixed, that did not happen. When we went to pick up the car he offered used tires; however, I could no longer trust him with the tires or the alignment of the car, since he lied on several occasions. My friend recommended me to this place. I brought my Lexus in for a censor replacement and for back brakes and rotor replacement. I was over charged. After my brakes were changed a day later I had another inspection on m car because I didn't like how my brakes felt. Come to find out there was no brake fluid in my car. My brakes were changed but with the cheapest brakes. The price I paid should have been for ceramic brakes. My cousin recommended this place to me when I was telling him I needed my brakes replaced. Called after work and came by and they went ahead and replaced my brake pads and leveled out my rotors. They also checked and it turns out I needed a few air filters replaced and they went ahead and took care of it in an hour!
