This company is professional and HONEST. Let me repeat the honest part. A close family member was told by a well known and recommended company that she needed an entirely new AC system in her home after it failed. They gave her a price of $15,000. I told her to call M&M for a second opinion. she told them what the other company said, yet Nick looked at her system and replaced a $150 part. that was 4 years ago and it's still running great! M&M just recently replaced my entire AC system, it was dead and over 30 years old, with an amazing system. I never knew my place could be so comfortable in the summer. Firstly: the owner and his office manager are truly exceptional in numerous ways. They are attentive, responsive, personable, and demonstrate a genuinely caring demeanor. The owner and the technicians he carefully chooses to hire are really proficient and knowledgeable. In essence: they are not fly- by-the-seat of-their-pants - rather they are thinkers first and foremost. It is my experience that the owner and his associates do not act until they have carefully thought through any and all issues. How rare is THIS in today's world? The office manager listens patiently to the issue being described and let's you know she will be speaking directly to the owner or any of his trustworthy HVAC associates to discern what they think might be the problem and then relays this back to the customer and then sets about scheduling a visit. If it is an emergency (and there were several of those in my case) then of course they will be out asap. My husband and I purchased an old historic home which as you might imagine had (has) a whole slew of problems. There was no AC, no exterior exhaust for the clothes dryer, no working dehumidifier. In a word: a nightmare of epic proportion. We were dealing with all of this in the middle of an excruciatingly hot and humid summer. Because the previous owner had the dryer vent venting directly INTO the home (!) with no exterior egress whatsoever - the home was just literally WET (and there w as no AC!). The owner came to the rescue - truly - very nearly instantaneously. He went above and beyond. He brought in and set up a new working dehumidifier and brought in one of his excellent technicians to introduce new dryer venting to the exterior of the home (no small feat as the ducting had to wind its way around and through a basement and a weird and rather constricted crawl space within this basement. Mission accomplished in a pristine and professional manner. As well - It was my experience that these folks are extremely (as in meticulous) tidy and do not leave messes behind them (a real plus as sadly I often find the opposite to be the case any more). We are newbies to Fairfield County CT - and I searched high and low for the best company I could find (I am persnickety and discerning!). In M&M Heating and Air Conditioning I found the BEST. I am grateful for the fine work this company provided to us and am very comfortable recommending M&M HVAC - because it is now my go-to HVAC company. When you've found the best why look elsewhere? What a disaster company! I would never use them and recommend you look elsewhere!!! I had a terrible experience with them. I called up and after gathering all my information I(including giving them my address not once but twice) I was told they would be at my home between 11:00 and !:00. I explained to them that I would be seeing patients during that time but that my housekeeper had instructions to let them in and to show them where the unit was. I also gave her a note to give them with my husbands number on it as my husband would be standing by. I made it abundantly clear that I would not be reachable this afternoon but that someone was here waiting for them between 11:00-1:00. . At 1:30 (I also had a check waiting)I Next thing I received a text at 1:30 saying they couldn't find my home as they wrote down obviously the wrong address. I just happened to see that message despite me telling the woman I had dealt with that I was unreachable all day. I texted back the correct address, (they had written down an extra number) She then wrote me back saying she has the correct address and that her company would definitely be here soon. Because I was concerned about the screw up, I canceled my next two appointments and waited and waited and waited, each hour upset that I canceled appointments and am still waiting. Finally, I get a text at 6pm saying "we can't come out and we can reschedule for 6 days from now. I was extremely upset. When I mentioned this to the person who recommended them, she was so sorry and had heard a similar mess up from someone else but didn't think to mention it. (she thought it was just a one time deal. I would never use this company as they are totally unreliable and don't tell the truth. read more

I'd give zero stars if that was an option. This place was referred to me by a good friend as they performed good service for her HVAC system. Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to experience something as simple as a call back. I contacted this place twice - the first time was on 6/18 and received a response back the next day, which was a very vague email that just said "$145.00 For the first hour. $75.00 hour with 1/2 hour break down. Not available until next week." I emailed back asking when he'd be available. Nothing. Well next week came and no response, so I called them back and got their voicemail. I decided to speak to someone via their chat link and the girl I was chatting with apologized and said someone would get back to me. Til' this day, no one ever got back to me. Thankfully, I was able to get my HVAC fixed by another company who did an excellent job and was very customer-oriented. I'm sure business is good for M&M, however, it's just common courtesy and good customer service to at the very least respond back to a customer. read more

Our A/C quit and Nick dropped what he was doing and arrived to get us back in service right away. We knew our 20 year old system was at its end of life. M&M quoted a reasonable price and did a great job. Nick answered all my silly questions and was done in less than a day. New system working perfectly and you can't tell they were ever here.
