This was my first stop in Sioux Falls. After reading many, many reviews, I was excited to check out MB Haskett. My 3-star rating is wholly due to the service. I came in on a lazy Friday morning, and would absolutely give my mocha latte and Savory Crepe with (unbeknownst to me, $1.50 extra) sunny egg 10 stars! However, not a single server, cook, or employee smiled for the duration of the 45 minutes I sat and enjoyed my breakfast. I was checked on a couple times, and after I had replied that I was doing well with a smile, said employees simply walked away without any emotion. I noticed other customers received the same treatment. Not a single employee seemed to enjoy her job whatsoever. I wish I would have felt more welcomed with my first Sioux Falls experience; however, I would recommend the food and ambiance of MB Haskett only. read more

Literally the best eggs Benedict ever! We came in at 130 on New Year's Eve & got a table immediately. Our server was friendly & the food & coffee were outstanding. It was worth coming out in -12 degree weather for this very special breakfast. My hubby got this bread pudding apple French toast which was also amazing. We will definitely be back. read more

This place is my favorite in Sioux Falls for breakfast and dinner. You can tell the ingredients are high quality. The portions seem small at first, but are actually the perfect amount. Their breakfast and dinner specials are uniquely incredible and they locally source their stuff (including good local coffee and hot sauces). The staff is really nice and responsive here too, they know the menu and will explain items if needed. Your kids will beg you to take them back here for Nutella crepes. read more

This place NEVER disappoints!! The dinner menus is thoughtful, creative, tasteful and solid! There are a few options and the menu changes frequently. The service is impeccable and friendly as you would expect but there is a knowledge and appreciation from wait staff that really helps guide you through. The old days of M.B. Haskett were the best. Delicious food and coffee for reasonable prices. Now, they still have good food, but it should be way better for the price. Serving sizes of the salads are tiny for the price ($7 for a small bowl) and the sandwiches are super greasy. The servers are always friendly, but it is usually very busy and the experience feels cramped and rushed. It could easily be 5-star, but little things like using Jiff instead of real peanut butter in crepes continue to be disappointing. read more

Ouch! It truly pains me to write this review, but this place was positively awful. Expensive, fake-friendly staff, terrible seating arrangement, a tiny to go area with one chair in the entrance-way to wait---- but worst of all was the quality of the food. I'm still in shock as I write this: To name a few of the reasons I went 1 star: Coffee counter waitress forgot to give me my coffee while I waited like I asked and then also forgot to give it to me with my to-go order, but hey who cares about that as it was nasty, bitter tasting anyway. I couldn't even drink it. The quinoa bean soup was probably the worst tasting soup I have ever had in my life. The overbearing fake smoke flavor made me gag. The muffaletta sandwich tasted downright strange and was not categorized as muffaleta (very very skimpy on the proschetta/meat). The cucumber salad was very boring consisting of just cucumbers and a few cherry tomatoes in vinegar but I cant complain because it was at least edible. Please don't get me started on the quiche. It was pitiful and I couldn't even eat it What really made me chuckle was the side "salad" that came with the "muffaletta" There was no dressing on it. Just plain lettuce. I'm still giggling and still hungry. Time to step up for game Mr. Haskett :( read more

Food Overpriced for what you get. The fruit crêpe consisted of a crêpe about the size of a record album with possibly, just possibly, about a tablespoon and a half of fruit jam. With that size creoe And the cost, I should be able to give us a little fruit... Maybe even 2 tablespoons! Two scrawny pieces of bacon cost either $4 or $4.50. The breakfast crêpe is tasty, but again not enough for the money they charge. I'm used to New York City pricing, so it's not a matter of expense, but taste in value. This has become one of my most favorite top 3 local restaurants of all time. Fresh. Quality. Healthy. Full of flavor. Anything I've ever ordered is excellent! Food was great had the turkey sandwich and the kale, squash and bacon salad. Food was little hipster foo foo especially in description which some may not like. Sandwich bread was really good told it comes from local baker fresh each day. Some of people was with had coffee after the meal iced and hot said it was really good. This place was recommended to us by our Air Bnb host and it was so good! It's a typical farm to table menu-- sort of limited but for good reason. They find ingredients and they celebrate those ingredients in their current menu selections. It was a warm welcome to eat at a place like this on our coast to coast road trip. Yummy, yummy. Awesome find. The only person in our party who didn't like his food was an 8 year old who's the pickiest eater in the world.
