We found this spot last night after wandering around the Armature Works. It was only around 8pm, but the spot was already pretty packed. We got a spot by the bar (otherwise the wait for a table was bordering on 2 hours, so we opted to try at the bar. People were mostly ordering drinks and not sitting down, so we were able to secure some spots rather quickly. It seemed like most people were out enjoying the music or the views. The bar was pretty busy (understandable for a Friday night) and we had to just hang out at the bar and hope for some chairs/spots to open up. Luckily, they did and we were able to order some drinks and eat some food. We opted for a couple of Carajillos and a Paloma. Honestly service was great and each cocktail tasted and looked good. For the food, we opted for some shared bites--shrimp cocktail (about 3 seasoned shrimps and a small dipping sauce), chips and salsa, 3 smaller lobster rolls, and a burger with fries. It was pretty quick/short turnaround time for the items to be ordered and then brought out to us. The presentation for each item was amazing and tasted as good as it looked. Although the shrimp cocktail was only 3 piece of shrimp, they were huge shrimp and full of flavor, skewered with a lime. The lobster rolls were so good. Small sliders packed with tons of meat. Good portion of filling to bread. The burger and fries were honestly to die for. Perfect amount of salt and a true medium for the cooked temperature. I think the only gripe I had was that the service was a bit on the slower side when it came to flagging down someone to take our order. Granted, it was packed in there. I just felt like they were serving everyone else before coming to our section to assist. I also got the lobster roll and the burger with fries to go (family was flying in that night and we didn't want them to starve. The to go food was pretty well packed. I would probably come here again, if given the chance. The views were amazing and I'm hoping that on a less busy night, the service would be a little more attentive. read more

I loved my drinks here to move this up to a five. There is a pretty young and bro-y crowd on a Wednesday night after 10 p.m. I'm surprised how many people were here. We were able to get a table, but it was pretty busy. I loved my drinks and the views of Tampa are pretty nice. I got the silk and sage which is grey goose peach and rosemary, lemon, apricot liqueur, and sage simple. It was delicious! I would absolutely get it again. I also tried my friend's chai after dark, which is cazadores reposado, coffee liqueur, demerara, espresso, chai. This is like an espresso martini, but with a strong chai flavor. I actually prefer it to an espresso martini and definitely would get it again. I did try their espresso martini, which was pretty good, but I think the chai one is better (or at least more unique). There are so many other drinks on the menu I'd like to try. If you're at Armature works, you should check this place out. read more

Came here on a Friday night to meet up with some friends and the place was packed! It was an interesting mix of people and by this I mean all ages from young to old, but many leaning towards the older side. Lots of people making out (of all ages). The drinks took a while to be made but it was a busy night, they are all closer to $20. They had a live DJ who was okay. If you need to use the bathroom, it's probably best to just hold it because the line was atrocious. Overall, I think this place wasn't my cup of tea but I do think this could be a vibe during the day. I've always heard of Armature Works but never went to see what was offered. But i decided to randomly go with friends and i can't believe i waited so long to come here. The view of the city was amazing right along with the amazing food. We had steak frite and m burger. I had medium rare steak and it was cooked perfectly along with Parmesan truffle fries and a well seasoned salad. We all had drinks that were good. There is a minimum when you reserve a space like this with a large group! Came here for a networking event and the service was absolutely incredible. Wonderful views of the river and the lawn. Our server was so sweet and helpful and we were such a large party. She was fantastic. Her name started with A and she had medium brown hair! The thugshot turned into a cocktail was my favorite drink and my favorite meal on the menu was the steak and chimichurri sauce. They promised to correct things but after 20 more minutes and no food, we cancelled our order all together. Such a fun and vibrant rooftop in Tampa!! Come earlier in the day to enjoy sunshine and refreshing drinks, at sundown to see the beautiful sunset along the skyline, or at night for a popping vibe with a dj and dancing. It definitely gets packed at night, so don't be surprised by the crowd which definitely skews younger. I've visited this spot mainly for drinks and it's always a great time. This spot is beautiful! My family and I were on vacation when we visited. The restaurant has an interior with a gorgeous view of the city as well as a rooftop. The servers were quick, friendly and very informative about their menu. The food and drinks did not disappoint either! If you are in the area, I would definitely check it. We had a reservation at 3:30 in the afternoon. We were greeted by the hosts and let them know we had a reservation. Where they planned on sitting us under an umbrella outside was being occupied by someone that just sat themselves there. The only place to put us was directly in the sun since other guest kept getting drinks from the bar and seating themselves. So apparently you don't need to speak to the host you're better off seating yourself to get the shade. The bathrooms were horrendous with no toilet paper in any stalls and trash all over the floor. Horrendous parking situation. Slow service. Nice view. I called and asked for a reservation for Saturday, Dec 23 at 5:15pm. I received the confirmation email and text. When we arrived the hostess said they don't take Saturday reservations... after speaking with her for a couple minutes she was able to put us at a couch outside with a view of the water. The holiday boat parade was going on so we wanted to have a view of that. Waited about 10 minutes for a server to come and and tell us she would go get waters while we decided. Another 10 minutes to actually get the water so we made sure we knew what to order for when she came with the waters. Ordered the chips and dip and the other nacho app. The chips came out soon after. The other app did not arrive until after we were about done with our entrees so we sent it back and had them take it off the bill. I had the Mac n cheese. It was decent, pico had a little spice to it. Other people had the jerk tacos which arrived with warm plates but almost cold meat. Drinks were decent. View was nice. read more

It's on like the 2nd or 3rd floor but it did have some nice views of the bay. We came on a Saturday and it was pretty packed, we were told Thursday's are their busiest days. The crowd seemed pretty young, I'm not even 30 but it just seemed like really young energy. For example the minute we walked in, someone threw up right in front of us and it got on our shoes. I had the Billy Ocean water: lime and coconut concoction with Diplomatico Planas Rum, Rum Haven Rum, Giffard Blue Curacao, Coco Lopez, lime, orgeat. Service was good. It does have beautiful views looking out over the Hillsboro River and the skyline of Tampa. I have not tried any food here, but they do offer food. read more

Long story short, I was with my husband, standing near a "VIP table" my drink was on the table, I was standing next to it, Antonio walked over and told me you can't have your drink on this table, remove your drink! Five minutes later, I saw a group of girls come over and they started to sit in the chairs at the table that my drink was sitting on, it was only two girls, they were Caucasian, if you're interested, I'm African-American, I waited to see if Antonio would tell the girls who were sitting at the table, in the chairs to get up, and he didn't tell them to get up off the table, and they did not buy vip. So I watched. I thought that I was getting discriminated against, I felt that I was being treated differently. I saw it happen with my own eyes, as a black woman I put a cocktail on a table top, and then I see two white women sit at the same table And enjoy their cocktails. So I approach Antonio, and ask him "why did you tell me I couldn't even put my drink on the table while you allow these two girls to sit at the table." He said "hold on hold on" and proceed to kick the girls away from the table. M. Bird is located in a very cool area with lots to eat/drink and a great view. We stopped in for some drinks and they had some very unique and yummy cocktails. Be prepared for cocktails and drinks on the pricier side. The rooftop was very aesthetic and cute for photo opportunities. The view was also great! A Bartender from armature works recommended this roof top bar. Sad that it's raining pretty hard but thankfully that they have covered area and still able to enjoy the view. I got my drink called "after thot" haha it's a funny name but it's a very tasty drink. It tasted like sweet grapefruit and didn't taste like alcohol at all. I'm not sure is that a strong drink but I definitely felt buzz and tipsy after even though I had a gin and tonic beforehand. But I definitely highly recommend this drink. We loved the view and got to see lightning while sitting there. The whole place is very cute, I can't imagine how busy it can get during the weekend or sunny day. Our bartender was super nice to us. Honestly if I could give this place 6 stars I would. Our waitress was amazing (until she left the second guy seemed like he hated his life). Our food came out as it was done vs when everyone's was done which was nice because NOTHING was cold and it was all super yummy and flavorful. I was happy because sometimes when you have to pay more money for food that looks good its not always good but the quality and flavors were worth the price. The drinks were the perfect mix and were sweet and strong enough. As well as being aesthetically pleasing it tasted great. The music and atmosphere was IMMACULATE. The DJ knew exactly how to do his job he had throwbacks mixed with current music and it was just a whole vibe. I would absolutely go back I specifically want to go back for brunch and see how that is. Please be aware that we have heard the wait times are normally pretty long but we went and had no wait and got to sit outside on the rooftop and not under the cover in the dark.
