We came here for a rehearsal dinner. The food was amazing, however the service wasn't the best. It took forever to receive the food and we had a set menu so one would assume it wouldn't have been that slow. We also had to keep asking for more water as they did not provide enough. French onion soup was basically beef broth with sautéed onions, (the cheese was good) burrata appetizer was dull and flavorless, pork chop was dry and the glaze was thin and bland. And. AND! Came in for a Sunday brunch. Server was very friendly, but super slow. Only asked if we wanted more drinks after we had been served our food. Would have been nice to have an option to spice up the Bloody Mary. Took forever to have her pick up the check and run the card. And calling her slow may not be right, she was just inattentive. Nice happy hour specials on Monday through Friday 3-6 pm. Snacks (apps) for $7 and Plates for $10. Limited drink options are available on the HH menu as well. Of the apps ordered, the crispy brussels sprouts were a bit burnt, which was not quite appetizing. The coconut crusted shrimp was delish and we should have placed two orders of that! I am holding Rosewood Grill to a higher standard. In all fairness, of the 4 entrees ordered, 3 were good. The fourth entree, an $18 hamburger was dry and burnt. The pork chop, filet and short ribs were very good. My wife is not one to send something back so she suffered through half of the burger and threw the rest away at home. For the prices they were charging you'd think the easiest entree to make would be edible. On the plus side, the drinks were good and the appetizers (Brussels sprouts, comeback shrimp and French onion soup) were decent although a bit too salty for me. Our waitress, Danielle was very good and the bright spot of our dinner. Overall, the chances of going back is slim. The prices dictate better food. read more

What can I say. The food here was completely garbage. Came here for brunch brought my family and I was embarrassed. I was embarrassed for them. The eggs were obviously powdered undercooked and tasted terrible. The sausage was raw inside and was seriously either old or spoiled. Even the butter tasted like rotten milk. Got an iced tea which tasted funky and I figured that it probably came out of an urn. It hadn't been clean for probably a few months. Somebody's gonna get sick from this. The toast was good, but that's about all that I could eat. Spent $100 here And I'm probably going to stop off at the gas station to get something to eat. I know the gas station food would be miles better than this place. I'm embarrassed for them and I was very hopeful that I have found a nice place to eat with good food. Complete garbage. read more

Went to on a Sunday with party of six. Everybody seemed to enjoy their food except for my wife and I. My group included salads and the chicken and waffles, devilled eggs and millionaire bacon. All of that was pretty good. However, my wife had the avocado toast, I tried it, did not like. Nothing was wrong with it, we eat avocado toast all the time at different places. Just do not like their recipe. I had the prime rib hash and it was terrible. Biggest problem was it was greasy. Potatoes were overcooked, but mushy because I think the grease. Prime rib was diced and fatty. The over easy eggs on top were not cooked properly either. I have to say, even if it was done well, it lacked the creativity you would expect out of a restaurant of that caliber and price point. Service was great as well as my bloody Mary. read more

We recently went for brunch, my wife and I ordered the steak and eggs. My steak was chewy like bubblegum and I had asked for over medium eggs, which ended up being over hard plus. My wife ended up just sending hers back after losing her appetite completely because it was not good. Attention to detail is not a strong suit of rosewood grill in my opinion. I had a great experience here. We had to wait a little while for our waitress to come greet us. The manager noticed that and compensated me for an appetizer and first round of drinks. Dinner for 2 on Friday, 7/18. Disappointed because we were told they had the halibut and Cuban rice. Then server came back and said they are not having this special until new menu is out. We both had walleye fish. The fish was somewhat "fishy tasting", not a fan, broccoli overcooked and gnocchi - just ok. We love Rosewood, 2 weeks prior the halbiut and Cuban rice was outstanding, and beans/yellow pepper! The steak and lobster amazing! Hope they bring this back and their Peanut Butter Pie, which was amazing! Not sure why they took these off. Ambience is always great and service too! I love this place. The location in Hudson is also amazing. The waiters are always very kind and attentive and always have good recommendations from the menu. My favorite item on the whole menu is the Calamari. It is one of my favorite Calamari appetizers out there. They do a really nice light batter and an amazing seasoning and sauce. It's also a massive portion and would highly recommend sharing it with a friend. I got one of their pastas last time I came and it was delicious. My friend got one of their shrimp dishes and that was also very good. I haven't tried a large portion of their menu however so I can't vouch for any of the other items. I am sure they put great effort and quality ingredients into everything though. Definitely check out Rosewood Grill next time you are in the area! read more

Loved eating here! The experience was awesome! When we arrived at the restaurant, we were able to be seated right away. Made reservations earlier today, and our table was ready when we arrived, which was 5 minutes early. The hostess was friendly and very professional. After was sat, the water glasses were filled and menus were brought to the table. If you dine between 3-6 pm, there are social hour specials. We ordered a couple of items off of this menu and shared them. We also ordered some regular menu items too, which we also enjoyed. Our server was fantastic! Very attentive, helpful, friendly and she seemed to really be enjoying working here. The manager also came over to our table to say hello and to thank us for dining here this evening. The food was delicious! Everything was cooked to order, very fresh and seasoned well. Your server will be able to tell you about the desserts that are available. We had reservations for a Friday night and Rosewood was slammed. It was raining pretty hard, so everyone was serving inside. Our waitress was dividing her time up over many tables, so my husband and FIL were a little antsy. She was very nice and did the best job possible considering how short-staffed EVERYWHERE is now. I beg you all, please expect to be patient and kind when you dine out these days! The deviled eggs we started with were okay, not a lot of flavor with them. Dad liked the Chicken Spring Rolls appetizer. I ordered the Mixed Grill with shrimp and filet and I really enjoyed it. Some others at my table commented on the small size of the filet, but it was enough for me. It was very well-prepared and I liked the lemon butter sauce. Excellent meal. read more

An upscale place like this should have gluten free bread products. Bread or rolls with an up charge would make this for me 5 stars. Without it , especially in these times when many many places offer it brings it down to 4. Having gluten free toast with the sirloin hash would have been delightful! Our family has never had a bad experience at Rosewood. The food is consistently very, very good, and the prices are very reasonable. Never say never, so they say, and I must admit that I might overreacted on my last review. This visit for sure was a difference between day and night and I am glad I went back. This time around we had a variety of different appetizers from Shrimp cocktail to Eggrolls and Calamari. While the Shrimps were a tad overcooked the cocktail sauce with it was outstanding. The Eggrolls were different from your regular eggrolls but boy they were so delicious!! The Calamari was also well prepared and worth ordering, imho. This was followed by the Lobster Bisque which had huge pieces of lobster and the soup was nice and hot, I highly recommend this dish and can't wait to have it again soon. For my main course I choose the Maine Salmon and I was delighted how flavorful and tasty the dish was. Last I had the Cheesecake which was perfect and not too sweet. A big shout-out to all the servers which did a fabulous job this evening and to the bartender for mixing all those great drinks for us. Verdict: Hands down 5 stars for excellent food, great atmosphere and great service. I'll be back!!!!! Enjoy and Bon Appétit. read more
