Werner's is a reliable, helpful place to bring your car. I had something happen to my car while I was a work a while back, and I brought my car in to Werner's to get it fixed. It was a very efficient process and the women at the front desk who helped begin the process was very helpful and friendly. After the work was complete, I had an issue with the way the transaction showed up on my company card and I had to contact them a few times to get it resolved. They were communicative, patient and helpful. My partner realized that I was missing a small car part after I got my car back. I contacted them about it and they were very professional about showing me the picture of my car from before they began the work, in which it proved that my car part was already missing. Then, they offered to order the car part for me. A few weeks later I went in to get it installed. I went to pay for it and they waved the fee for the part! They're honest, kind, and fair with pricing, and they always take the time to explain what's going on. It was inevitable. Someone barreled down the middle of the narrow driveway of our garage in the apartment house. I served to avoid the car, and hit a concrete support beam. I drove over to Werner's in Queen Anne, and within ten minutes with me waiting in the car, I received an estimate with an honest analysis of why I would have been wiser buying a less exotic automobile. I am a pretentious idiot, and now I am suffering the consequences. The estimate was high, but lower than others, and I know enough about auto body repair to discern Werner's knew their stuff. Have had 2 excellent experiences with Werner's. A few years back my car was hit (nearly totaled) and they did an amazing job. Body was absolutely perfect when I picked it up along with great customer service and fast service. 2 weeks ago I brought in my SUV for an estimate to fix some minor bumper repairs as I'm selling the vehicle. I chatted with them for a bit and they basically said it wasn't worth doing. They applied something to the scratches which significantly improved the appearance. I really wanted to give them a much better rating. They were very nice and Curtiss. But my god, they are just TERRIBLE at paint jobs. I called in advanced and asked if they did paint jobs on scratches, the owner said yes. I brought in my 2015 Acura RDX (I'll tell you the significance of that info later) into the shop for them to give an estimate, which was $550. A little steep, but OK. They have my car for three days. I go to retrieve it and drive off (they were closing so they drove it to the front and put me in it and sent me on my way). When I got home I noticed that they didn't do anything to my car besides buff (terribly, I might add. It looked like they used a charcoal color whiteout!) a small part of my car. My wife angrily called and told them they didn't do anything, and they told her to bring the car in the next day, free of charge, and they'd get it done that same day. Sounds great. She brings it in and they get to work on it. Hours go by and she comes back to pick it up. STILL SCRATCHES ON THE CAR! Their excuse? "Yeah, the newer cars are harder to reprint." WHAT? Then why did you say you could do it? And why did I pay over $500 JUST to have you buff a little bit of paint off and tell me my car is too new to paint on? Like I said, I really wanted to give them more stars, because they were at least nice (but really, how "nice" are you if you take over $500 from someone knowing you can't get the job done?), but terrible service and lack of skill won't allow for anything moe than a single star from me. Service was awesome. We fixed a dent on the door and had to replace entire door because it was bent. After fixing there was a tiny scratch in one of the new parts which was no big deal to us because it was not noticeable. They offered to replace it with a nother new one. Great customer service! The people were very friendly and knowledgeable about car repairs. They even took the time to explain how auto insurance works in terms of repairs. The reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is they took a while to fix our car and delayed our pickup date twice, and when we got our car back, we found out they didn't reattach the front license plate. At first, we were frustrated that we had to go back in and worried that we'd have to leave our car for weeks again. However, when we went in, Muhammad came out and fixed the license plate on the spot! Took maybe 10 minutes before I was on my way home with a completely fixed car. One Friday evening my fender was damaged in a parking lot. Saturday morning I stopped into Werner's for an estimate. Werner's had my vehicle Monday morning and promised I'd have it back Tuesday afternoon. I picked it up Tuesday afternoon but it was ready well before noon. Overall I had a good experience here at Werner's Crash Shop. The pricing was fair, the turn around time was decent, and after addressing some issues with the final product, I left feeling happy with the work that was done to my 2008 Mazdaspeed3. These guys work on all sorts of cars ranging from your standard beater car to Shelby Mustangs (which was getting a replacement rear end installed when I took my car in). I don't have the collision insurance, so I have to contact the woman insurance company whoever hit my car by myself. And that happens to be a Canadian company ICBC, difficult for American to deal with. Werner(?) told me he will deal with the insurance company!! that took my nightmare away! Simply awesome. The shop not only do the auto repair but the body work, unlike other shops(Macco, Foreign Auto Built) that I went to in Seattle. This shop has been here in 30 years, and they are the best. The experience at Werner's is really as good as it can get with an auto mechanic. The initial estimate took just ten minutes - I've had to drop off my car for an entire morning in some places and pay a fee just to let them estimate how much more they'd charge me if they continued working on the car. Werner's ultimately charged about 8% *less* than the estimate they gave me. When I showed up in the morning instead of the afternoon to pick up my car, entirely because of my mis-remembering the time of day they'd said the car would be available, they gave me a ride to work! The car looked beautiful after the repairs, and the whole time I felt like they were there to help me and not like they were scheming to rip me off. It's a pity they don't do any of the mechanical stuff, I wouldn't take my car anywhere else if they did. read more

Their price changed do to additional work that needed to be done. they did not inform anyone that the bill would increase or get authorization by over a thousand dollar increase to the estimate and when confronted by this the owner Eric? said that was the price and he wast going to budge. always get more then one estimate before using them. This shop is not trustworthy, they will lie to you about the car condition and try whatever they can to force you leave the car there. There are plenty of good body shops around Seattle, don't waste your time here. 1. Werner's body shop lied to me about the car condition in order to force me to leave my car in their shop. They lied to me my car is not driveable, without towing it, I had to leave it to them. 2. When I told the shop, instead of repairing the car, I will let a dealer tow it. To force me to fix my vehicle in their shop, the owner of Werner's body shop (Eric) lied to me that my vehicle had a structural issue, which made it has no trade-in value. All the body shops and mechanicals I visited later (more than three body shops) told me the car only has bumper and lamp damage. 3. The shop intentionally delayed the exam and charge me storage fees. I emailed and called the shop two times per day on the following three days after I left my car there, asking for the car status, if it could be fixed to a drivable condition. And they refused to give me a straight answer. After I rushed them several times, they told me my car was not qualified for a quick fix. (The repair shop I visited later, all offered me FREE quick-fix solutions. ) When I realized this shop is nothing but a liar and insisted on taking my car away, they charged me $400 storage fee for 4 days. read more

I've had Werner's work on 2 different cars dents. The first was just the bumper, but when I picked the car up, it looked perfect. The second car appeared that I had tried to rip the entire driver's side bumper and headlight off of my car! It looked (and was) pretty horrible. Werner's fixed it perfectly, although it did take longer than the initial estimate on time. The owner, Eric and (the amazing) receptionists Jenna & Johanna were always friendly, polite and helpful. I had my truck repaired at a different body shop, when I got my truck back, the passenger door would sag down when opened, after several failed repair attempts, I then consulted with my insurance to have a different repair shop solve the problem. Not only did eric fix the door, he also noticed other flaws caused by the other shop. I was not only impressed with the fine quality of work, but I was happy with the complementary wash/detail! This is a good -- bad -- great story. I'm a car fanatic and got into a pretty serious fender bender in my Audi S4. I took it to Werners and Eric was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very straight forward. All around easy to work with. I got the car back like it was new in the time Eric originally specified. Now the bad. The paint job degraded terribly, slowly at first and then more quickly as the years went on (yes years). It was obvious that only the part of the vehicle that was painted as part of the accident was affect. Now, being that it was several years later, I just grumbled about it and went on with my business. A few more years went by and I happened to run into Eric online. After some consideration, I expressed my displeasure with Eric about the paint work done (now over 5 years prior) and he immediately arranged for me to come in to get the work redone and set me up with a rental car all on his dime. No questions asked. There are very few places these days who stand by the quality of their work and deeply care about doing right by their customers. Wonderful experience!! My bmw was hit by a valet and I got two separate quotes for the damage. One from a place in Interbay and one from Warner's. Warner's was not only the more efficient and straight forward estimate....but also the more reasonably priced! The damaged was completely repaired within two days and looks amazing. They did an awesome job fixing my Miata! After some guy whacked it while trying to parallel park, I went to a few places to get estimates and these guys had a good price and good reviews online. They said it'd be about $600-750 and in the end it was about $900 so pretty close. They said it would take about 3 days to get done but they got it done in 2. They were very friendly and helpful all along the way and my car looks perfect now, like new! The bad news. I had to go to Werner's twice in a month. Had to have my hood painted and then a month later backed into a post and the rear bumper cover needed to be replaced and repainted. The good news is I went to Werner's. They did a great job on the car, communicated well and were enjoyable to work with. When you take your car the staff are working, walking by, doing their job but also talking to you in a nice friendly manner. They are all very professional, congenial and interesting. There is a nice vibe in the shop. I believe they really know their business and are very conscientious. When I went to get the hood estimate I went to other shops - I was told we only do insurance (I paid for both of the repairs), they don't give estimates and when they did give me an estimate it seemed they were doing me a favor. Then, I thought what about the shop with the yellow building down at the bottom of Queen Anne. At Werner's I was treated with courtesy, they gave me the time I wanted, explained what they were going to do and just treated nicely.. Of course that isn't as important as the work and I am happy to say the work is first rate. Great painting and associated repairs. When I damaged the bumper I went right to them on the way home. I ripped off my Jetta's bumper while visiting the Space Needle with an 8-year old. Bummer thing. But these guys at Werner's turned my frown upside down! They squeezed the car in for a repair that day, they did the job I needed (no frills/quick fix), it looked GREAT, and they did not charge me an arm and a leg. Have been taking my cars to Werner's since 1971 when there was a guy named Werner running it with German level excellence and that quality of service has remained the same for many years and cars later after the shop was taken over by Eric, one of Werner's former employees. Most of the time, the damage repair is covered by my insurance carrier although occasionally I have had Eric do private work just so my insurance costs would not increase. His work is reliably first rate. Sometimes insurance companies try to steer me over to other favored shops but state laws require them to deal with the shop that I choose. I suspect the companies are motivated by cheaper work and not quality. Eric knows how to deal with the insurance companies and has in excess of 40 years of experience. He also has a wealth of knowledge about what companies provide the best coverage and service and where to find quality detailers and mechanics. His business end is run by long term assistant name Jenna who is terrific and nice to work with. Don't hesitate. read more

I'd give 10 stars if I could. The bumper looked like it had never been damaged and they cleaned and waxed my car! Eric and Robin were so nice and Robin did a considerable amount of advocating for me with the insurance company. They have a contract with Enterprise rental cars so they picked me up and took me to the rental agency. When my car was ready, I simply left the rental at Werner's and they took care of it. I drive by this shop several times a week and laugh at the clever billboard. Fun people must work there, I think. However, it took my insurance company's recommendation for me to actually notice that I had an auto shop on my street. (But hey -- I know where all the coffee shops are.)
