I've gotten my hair done here before but my experience today with Melissa Perea was not great. I came in for an all over color, nothing complicated like balayage. I was there for 4 hours and came out with identical hair. The dye also got on my forehead, ears, and neck. Melissa helped clean it up on my forehead after I asked. I came in needing my roots done for sure and consulted about future coloring. She suggested a toner after dying my roots for an overall chocolate look and I love it. This place really deserves 0 stars, maybe even negative stars. I set up an appointment a week ago for today at noon and confirmed it yesterday via text. I showed up at 11:55am and they don't open until noon so I waited, but then I never stopped waiting. I stood outside until 12:30pm in 90 degree heat and no one ever showed up. The door was never unlocked and no one responded to my calls or emails. I eventually just left because it was obvious no one was coming. I would be embarrassed if I ran a business this way. If you want to get your hair done at all, don't even bother going here because you'll travel all the way there for nothing! read more

Had a men's clipper / shear haircut with Meghan and it was a wonderful experience. Meghan clearly has a lot of expertise and knows what she's doing. She was very respectful and kept making sure that any decision was in agreement with my wishes. The end result was very pleasant and I have received many compliments saying that this is the best haircut I've gotten in a long time. If I could give it a 0.5, I would. I went to Michelle to get my roots done and overall hair toned. Came out with horrifyingly uneven and yellow, untoned batches of hair. See picture attached. She handled my hair VERY roughly (pulled my hair with all her strength) and even managed to bleach the back of my shirt. When I called her about this problem, her answer was "this happens all the time". No, that is not normal. I was single coated (should have taken the hint there), and no plastic cap or cotton band to protect the processing hair. Michelle is inexperienced in bleaching hair and her customer service was crap. Since she owns the place I can already see what the rest of the crew are like. I was charged $250 for this hair and honestly, you can get a much better result somewhere else with a senior stylist at a similar price. AVOID AT ALL COST. PS: the hairstylist suggested something to me without knowing whether it's possible or not even after taking a look at my hair. Me, being a customer, trusted her decision but well...yikes. Go to Dellaria instead. Edit: Michelle messaged me privately and as expected, her response was condescending. "You don't know anything" is basically what represents their attitude towards customers. What kind of a salon expects their customers to get their hair coloured in underwear?? See the pictures attached. Judge for yourself and go somewhere else. read more

I went in for a quick trim with some layers and came out with the choppiest haircut I have ever gotten. I had to go to a second place to fix it, but unfortunately there wasn't much to salvage as she cut the top layers way too short. Do not recommend, especially for $85 read more

This is a review for a haircut by Michelle. Not sure about her skills in other areas, but really disappointed in my haircut. Showed her multiple pictures and communicated that I wanted a blunt bob that was a thinned so it wasn't too heavy at the bottom, but still a blunt bob. Told her I did NOT want the helmet hair, bob that rounds out because of too many layers. Guess what I ended up with? Helmet hair. Also told her I wanted it longer in the front, shorter in the back and yet the lengths are all sorts of different throughout because she went too wild with adding in layers and chipping away at the bottom. Somehow for what was supposed to be a blunt bob, you can't even see any semblance of a blunt line at all. It's like a rat just nibbled at the bottom of my hair and it's a mess. If I'm paying $60 for a haircut, I expect better or at least close to what I want. read more

I've been coming to M salon since it opened and have always had good experiences, up until now. I've found that as the salon gets busier and more popular, the quality has declined. I feel rushed and not listened to, and the unfriendly staff makes it feel very uncomfortable to say that you're not happy with the way your hair came out. I went in a few days ago and asked for a collar bone length cut without an angle and came out with a chin length angled bob. There was no communication throughout the cutting process to make sure that I was ok with what she was doing. In addition, I have naturally curly hair and the length of my hair now makes it extremely difficult to blow dry and straighten, and too short to wear naturally. I cried for two days after I left, something which I have never done over a haircut before. When my hair finally starts to grow back, I will be finding another salon. read more

I called on Friday afternoon hoping to make an appointment as soon as possible and I was able to go in that day to get my hair done! I came half an hour early to my appointment and I was greeted at the door by the sweetest puppy, who I played with until Michelle was ready for me. I told Michelle that I wanted a balayage to lighten up my hair, which I had dyed dark a week and a half prior and ended up hating. she listened to everything I said and made my hair look absolutely amazing by the end of the appointment, without making it feel dead from the bleach.
