If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Came here cuz it looked esthetically pleasing and pictures of the food were pleasant. When we got here we were seated within a few minutes. They have a downstairs and an upstairs. We were seated upstairs. We were all excited because it looked pretty cool. Nice vibes and it wasn't crowded at all. We ordered our drinks and our food. Took a while to get our drinks but it took even longer for our food. We had to order a second round of drinks before the waitress came out and told us they don't have the meat for our order (about a total of 45 minutes of waiting after we placed our order they told us they were out of the ribeye). At this point we were getting frustrated. If we weren't so hungry, we would have just left. After about an hour they brought two plates out of the three. The Desayuno El Patron came out on a "sizzling" plate, but nothing about it was sizzling. The food was cold/warm. As if it had been sitting out for quite a while. The same thing went for the chilaquiles con ribeye. We had to wait approximately another 15 minutes after they brought out the first two plates for then to bring the third dish which wasn't even right. We ordered the Tabla de hot cakes (even showed the waitress a picture of the dish that we saw online). Instead, we got tabla de quesos. When we told the waitress it was the wrong order, she said it wasn't. We told her we had even showed her a picture to confirm what we were ordering was the right one and she said we were wrong. My friend is lactose intolerant so she doesn't eat cheese or dairy products so this was crazy for the waitress to say she ordered that. They offered to take the plate back but said we'd still have to pay for it. Again, we were hungry and weren't willing to wait around for then to make the correct dish so we switched the plates around and the three of us all shared each other's plates. What was even worse, there was a HAIR in the cheese. That was the final straw. We told a different waitress about it because our waitress never returned to our table. Yeah the pictures of the food looks nice, but it wasn't. Some pan and cafe would have been better than anything we got there. We had high hopes but this place was truly disappointing. I really like this place. My one real complaint is location. It's tucked in a traffic poor section of Rosarito. Not really convenient but we found it. The service was friendly and helpful. Very kind people. Welcoming and polite. The ambience is kind of a bit energetic. Considering I came for breakfast I would have preferred more mild music but it wasn't the worst I've experienced. The building is a container style. Very industrial and hip kind of feel. The place was clean and well maintained. Now for the food. Everything we had was well made and flavorful. My kids absolutely loved the breakfast platter. It really is a lot of food for 4 people. Came with waffles French toast pancakes fruits eggs bacon and sausage. They give a lot of fruits with the platter which is good because my kids love fruits but we still had some leftover. The price was amazing for a 4 person meal. The first time I came I had the poblano omelette. Very good. I highly recommend it. The right portion. Lots of flavor, well seasoned well balanced. It's a nice portion for anyone but for me I was able to save some for later. Enjoyed it then too. My husband had the Higado (liver). I had a taste and that was very good as well. Now my mom makes the best liver. So there is no competition but this one was well done. Probably one of the best I've had in a restaurant so far. My husband devoured his meal and left nothing for later. He was happy so I'm happy. Overall great experience. We will be coming back. I recommend this place for any family to enjoy food. If I could, I'd give this place 0 stars. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO EAT. Let's start with the service, they told us that it will take 30 minutes because it's backtracked which is fine. WE WAITED ALMOST 2 hours. Around the 1.5hr mark, the server came to offer coffee but not once did any of them ask if they can give us some water or coffee. The food... was the worst. I ordered the grand slam and the pancakes were hard and crusted on the outside and undercooked in the inside. The bacon and tocinos was undercooked. The environment was cute but I found it funny that the servers were just lounging in the kitchen area and laughing instead of attending. If you don't want to work here... then don't work here. In summary, don't come here and please don't waste time. We waited over 2 hours here and didn't even finish the food. read more

Went on a Wednesday so there was a wait but not too bad. I appreciate the server letting us know it was a half hour before food comes out. The food was good, we had the breakfast platter, but it seems they do not have enough staff to be attentive. Coffee refill, check, etc took a while for them to bring. read more

I visited from Las Vegas and have been in the food and beverage as well and this place is very aesthetically pleasing however, the food is definitely not up to par with the decor. We ordered the chilaquiles both green and red and they were not very flavorful. The chicken on one of them felt like it was undercooked as we bit into it and the meat on the other was way over cooked. The breakfast sandwich was very plain and flavorless, not even Mayo on the bread just straight up egg, cheese, and fatass pieces of meat lol. The French toast was pretty decent and the fettuccini Alfredo had to be the best thing on there lol even though it is not your typical Alfredo, but it was good. The coffee was pretty good as well cannot complain about that one. Definitely will not come back, personally. read more

Delicious breakfast. Servers were very attentive and you are able to modify your plates.

The food, bar drinks and coffee are great, but the service is really bad. If you're alone they might be quick to get you served, but if you go with someone else or a large party, expect to be waiting for a very long time. They don't take your drink order right away and when they do, they take forever to bring your drinks to your table. They also bring the drinks one by one all within 5-10 minutes from each other. Once you've gotten your drinks, they take another 20-30 minutes to take your actual food order and then that's when it goes all bad. They don't bring back the order back to back if you're in a party of more than 1. It's a waiting game for each plate to make it to your table and sometimes they take 15 minutes for each plate to make it to you. Forget about asking for utensils and anything extra. It's like they have to put in a request with someone and have that request get approved. By the time you get your utensils, you're already halfway done with your food. Service Is REALLY bad and I don't think they realize it. It really sucks because their food is amazing. I guess it's a give and take. Been there like 5 different times, but I think this weekend was our last time visiting M122. Good luck. read more
