Ordering a custom cake was so quick and easy. The flavors they offer are what made me choose this place over anywhere else, and the prices really can't be beat. I can't stress enough how beautiful and delicious their cakes are, but needless to say I'm making this my go-to place for custom cakes. Thank you!!!

I love Yelp, they help make life soo much easier. I was on the hunt for an Asian cake in Richardson as I've never been. A recommendation that turned out to be a total Winner!! I ordered a strawberry cake which was everything that I love Asian. Moist fluffy and delicious.. A hit 4 sure I wish the bakery had a better selection but I left with a pandan egg tart which I really enjoyed over any tart I've ever had.

Love all the different flavors of the cupcakes offered. Very moist and not too sweet. My favs were the taro and the pandan coconut cupcakes. It's not very fancy bakery and nondescript but don't let that skip this hidden gem. Will be back.

Pricy but worth it. Delicious asian style cupcakes, the cake is great too! All the flavors were good, the creme is delicious, soft and smooth not too sweet or dried out. Cake was moist and last a long time in the fridge

I am vegan but making a review based on my dad and family's reaction. I got durian cupcakes for my dad's birthday and he loved it! He said the flavor was on point! I also got other cupcakes (Pandan, lychee, carrot, and taro) and my family loved them! The place is small, no place to sit down. You pick up and go. I think it's best to order, especially if you are getting a cake or want something specific. I got lucky and they some cupcakes left. The guy at the counter was friendly and nice!

Local Asian bakery with cakes to order, cupcakes, and cake rolls. They only have tarts Fri-Sun, so I wasn't able to try one this time. I got the pandan coconut cupcake ($2.95). The cake was light, fluffy, and moist with fresh cream and coconut chunks. I wish it had a stronger pandan taste in both the cake and cream. Service was friendly. A good place to order cakes or grab something quick to go. It looks like there is a table and a few chairs, but it's not a full cafe seating area. I'd love to come back to try their durian cupcake and tarts!

Delicious cupcake with unique flavors. None of the cupcakes were overly sweet. It was just the right amount of sweetness. I had the taro, durian, pandan, matcha white chocolate, and lychee flavor cupcake. I love how they put pieces of the real fruit on top and inside. It was so much fun to mix and match all the flavors. You can call to order as some flavors run out faster than others.

We stumbled upon this bakery while making a purchase at another store in the shopping center. When I walked in, I was immediately impressed with the uniquely sweet smells and very helpful server. I hadn't been in before but love a good cupcake. I didn't know many of the flavors (e.g., pandan , durian) so was intrigued. The server was very helpful and patient. He explained the flavors and baking process. We tried the pandan, durian, and taro. All were delicious! I highly recommend these cupcakes!

I was pleased that this bakery could accommodate my last-minute request - a birthday cake during Labor Day weekend ordered on Thursday. They followed my instructions precisely and the cake was beautiful. I'm not sure if it was because this was an Asian bakery, but the consistency of the cake was creamier than I normally expect; I preferred it this way. (Note: the smeared lettering was from my granddaughter, who could not resist tasting it prior to our celebration)

    Duran cake 6in ($38)

Just got the Duran cake 6inches, and OMG was it delicious! You can really taste that they used real durian. You can even see the Duran fibers, so you know it is legit. The flavor was strong and not too strong either, the perfect amount. The frosting was my favorite too because it was the light fluffy frosting, instead of the thick frosting that is in supermarket cakes. This 6inches is perfect for 5-6 servings. Would highly recommend.

They made my Taylor Swift cake perfect. Strawberry shortcake and so delicious! $60. Great price and delicious cake! I also tried their egg custard while I was there and it was so great! We will be back. Light, fluffy and not too suite. Great whipped cream frosting!

Does anyone know if M2M bakery does gender reveal cupcakes? TIA!

I'm sure they do. They did a custom birthday cake for me and it was beautiful and delicious. And reasonably priced.

Fortunately, if you're not dining in, ordering from the to-go line is very quick, and there's even a comfy seating area in the front where you can enjoy your food and beverages. In addition to a double shot espresso I ordered, I also got a broccoli mac and cheese croissant. The croissant was expensive ($7.50), but it's hearty enough to be a meal. I wasn't offered an option to toast up the pastry, but I didn't particularly mind the coldness of the mac and cheese component of the pastry. The croissant surrounding the filling was flakey with nicely laminated layers. Meanwhile, the filling was satisfyingly salty and rich. Although the pastry was tasty, it's probably something I would only try once -- rather than something I would get regularly, due to how heavy the pastry ate. Overall, if you're looking for skillfully prepared, creative pastries, La Casita Bakeshop definitely fits the bill.

I made a reservation for my friend and I a few days early because they tend to get busy, and were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was attentive and very friendly, and understood exactly what I wanted when I placed an order of the baked goods before anything else, since those tend to sell out as the morning progresses. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich special and was so excited I forgot to take a picture! The place was busy but the volume was never so loud that my friend and I felt the need to raise our voices, and the smell of freshly baked bread was very comforting. We left feeling satisfied and with plenty of leftovers. The price was also extremely reasonable, except for the box of desserts I ordered to go lol we did give the olive oil cake a try before departing, and it was delightful. Can't wait to get another chance to come back!

There's two phone numbers on the door. I called the top one (972-815-7560) which was written more clearly. A lady answered, and we spoke a mix of mediocre Mandarin and mediocre English. (The reviews say they speak Cantonese.) She said my order of a dozen would take 30-35 min, $35, cash only. I set an alarm and napped in the car. After 40 min, I stepped into the store and greeted Dragon Mak (who now appropriately looks decades older than his photo on the wall). As we waited for the egg tarts to finish baking, we chatted in broken Mandarin about how his wife passed away 6 months ago, how much it cost to bury her, how much it cost to purchase his nearby home decades ago, how he used to live in the Houston Chinatown and how affordable it was back in the day... Absolutely delicious. The butter cookie roll was soft, buttery, and indulgent without being overwhelming. But the real star was the kinafa. It was SO special. We haven't been back in many years and not only did that magical original location close, but what we found instead was this monstrosity of a location that felt hyper corporatized and commercial--in other words, soulless. Listen, we don't begrudge them their success. And we were so happy for them when we saw them being mentioned in the NYT a few years ago. But now Bigdash has gone full American--they've expanded to multiple locations, the quality has gone down, and that je-ne-sais-quoi magic is completely gone. We came here yesterday after a stellar meal at Khashoka, excited since it's been so long since our last visit. We walked in (it was freezing) and the whole place looked like a Disney-ified version of the original Big Dash. There was one woman working, and she was very friendly, but what a different experience than mingling with the original owners in the unpretentious cozy ambience. The worst part is that the ice cream is nowhere near as good! The original Arabic ice cream's level of rose water was off and the ice cream's stretchiness felt less organically created. The pistachio was OK. Our daughter got this crazy container of small individual frozen fruit shapes that were covered in chocolate. Those felt cute and special and we liked them all except for the grape. Again, we're happy for Bigdash's success. They deserve it. But we will not be back again because what we loved so much about this place is no longer. Tis the American way, alas! Three stars and sincere best wishes to them.
