A huge thanks to Anthony and Tiffany for coordinating all the logistics, Anthony in particular was so helpful from start to finish, always available, responded immediately to any question, and just made the whole process incredibly easy. An especially big thanks to our installer Bobby and his crew who did such an exceptional job carefully removing the old system and doing a beautiful install of the new one. They also completely reworked the AC closet, moving the system forward and sealing everything off cleanly, what was once a poorly converted linen closet now has potential for usable space behind it. Whereas the old system sounded like a jet engine taking off, the new Mitsubishi is astonishingly quiet, the condenser is outside our bedroom and you hear literally nothing. It works flawlessly and has been keeping the house perfectly cool through what's shaping up to be a hot summer. This was not an easy install either. The house, like many older homes, is full of quirks and Diamond did an amazing job working around all the pitfalls that come with squeezing a central HVAC system into a house not originally designed for one. Everyone at Diamond was a total pleasure to work with and have in our home. Their pricing was fair and reasonable and the quality of their workmanship is just excellent. Mike came out and thoroughly evaluated my system (which is 20 years old). Even though there wasn't one obvious reason for the problem, he carefully checked every possibility. He found that the refrigerant was low and that the pressures weren't resetting as they should. He recharged the system, reconnected my electrostatic filter, and took the time to explain what might be causing the issue, as well as discuss possible future options. Mike was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I felt confident in his assessment and appreciated that he never tried to pressure me into unnecessary repairs or a replacement. I ended up calling another company, and they came out and immediately tried to upsell me on multiple expensive services. Something didn't feel right, so I decided to get a second opinion and called him back. When he came out, he did another fireplace sweep and also repaired cracks in both the exterior and interior of my fireplace. He took the time to carefully inspect everything and honestly told me those additional services the other company recommended were not necessary. I really appreciated his honesty and not trying to take advantage of the situation. His pricing is very fair, and his work is excellent. If you choose to use this service, just know it's a gamble on what you'll get. The first scheduled appointment I had with Aaron, he was a no show. I reached out, he gave me an excuse, and we rescheduled. Aaron eventually came to my house, agreed to order parts to do the job, he took my $150 for the service call (which would be later applied to the total job cost). From that point on, I was given excuse after excuse, lies, and often ghosted. This went on for 3 months. Aaron claimed the parts were on backorder. Finally after 3 months of patiently waiting and dealing with his BS, I called the appliance company myself to check the inventory of parts needed and everything was in stock and had been. I immediately followed up with Aaron again for the status, just to see what he would say, and again he lies, telling me parts are still on backorder and because 'the company is overseas, communication with them isn't the easiest'. I knew that to be an absolute lie since I had just got off the phone with the parts department and the company has a US 1-800 number with a perfect english speaking person. I asked him some additional questions and he ghosted entirely. At that point I contacted my credit card company for a refund and I never heard from Aaron again. I then called another company and they came out and had my appliance repaired within a week, parts on hand! I'm sure if he sees this, he'll reply some lame excuses or a false story as he has done with others. But at least you've been warned.

DOMENICK ALONGE (project manager) - Reviewed findings from Alfred, provided detailed indication of issues and resolution options with several quotes. Here's why our experience has been superior to previous companies: All three specialists were not only punctual, friendly, and courteous, but they took their time to evaluate our issues in CLEAR layman terms corroborated by photos, and showing us exactly where the problems were in person. We previously obtained a quote from a large corporate company and was left feeling dumbfounded and stressed as they described the nature of our problem in engineering, technical jargon that made absolutely no sense, including astronomical quotes without explanation of the work entailed. We continued experiencing intermittent issues with our AC and heater so we called Friends & Family based on their excellent reviews. He saw me struggling to dig a hole for my plant and volitionally offered to help me. He took the extra time to dig the hole for me, exemplifying his genuine kindness and generosity! Similarly, my kids were running amuck and screaming and shouting while I attempted to maintain a conversation with ALFRED. He was very understanding and continued to engage in conversation, appearing unbothered by the chaos with a pleasant disposition. Lastly, DOMENICK was appointed on the day of our son's birthday. He related to us interpersonally and even helped assemble my son's new Radio Flyer bike! I told him that Sean also helped me garden and we laughed about how Friends & Family is a "one-stop shop." Given everything I mentioned, we're excited to have our overdue AC/heater system fully repaired by Friends & Family.
