Pricey for a very small portion.

The 1st time I went there, I got alot of banchan's and beef kimbap. The ban chans were kind of pricey $7 for small portions (most of them). Some items were easy to make at home not sure why I paid money. When I went there the 2nd time, the beef kimbap was already on display. The cashier told me to pick one of them. I wanted fresh to order. It did not taste as good as on my 1st visit. Oh well.

If you're craving a quick Korean snack or need side dishes you don't want to make yourself, this spot is a perfect spot. I tried the spicy tuna gimbap and Korean fried chicken (forgot to take a picture lol). The gimbap was great because it's packed with protein rather than just rice. The fried chicken was a solid portion that I couldn't finish it in one sitting. One thing to note is that there isn't seating, so it's suited for a quick pick-up-and-go meal. Though I didn't get them, the place also offers a variety of side dishes that go well with a bowl of rice.

As soon as I step into Ma's Banchan, I felt like a kid in a candy store. It was banchan galore in the small yet very well organized store. It's a self serve, grab n go type of store with cooked foods such as japchae and gimbap to one side and refrigerated banchan and soups to the other. Everything I tried was fresh and delicious. Service was quick and friendly. I will definitely come back to try some of their other banchans in the near future.

First time visiting this local store. It's a small cozy store, everything is grab n go, no sittings. All the banchan and food are stored neatly stored and packed. I was craving for some kimpab, so decided to try it out. The roll was made with a great amount of beef and veggies. Only a small portion of rice, so this is a definitely a plus. The roll is lightly seasoned, only rely on the beef and yellow pickles. As of now, the beef gimpab is $11, I think it is a bit pricey. Julienne Korean Radish Salad: My mom loves this side dishes, it was recommended to us by the store staff when we had difficulty picking a radish dish. It is nicely seasoned, not overly spicy. The white radish is still perfectly crunchy. Recommend this if you like radishes. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would go back to try out more authentic dishes, but maybe not very often because the price is a bit high for most choices.

I love support small/ local business and was pleasantly surprised to discover this gem! They make a variety of banchan which you can order fresh or get them frozen. We got several gimbaps and they were all made fresh and tasted really good. I like that they are generous with their filling and not too much rice. Will definitely return again the next time I'm craving Korean banchan!

Location: close to other markets and shops Parking: plenty of parking Pricing: for handmade food or made to order in the area it's considered affordable or cheap. Variety: lots of variety forgot to take pics and was hungry. Order kimpab spam and beef Bulgogi. It's pretty good and I also bought ready made spicy hock and preserved spicy radish strips. Total was 38 bucks. I can see myself coming back to buy the ready to eat meats or soups. Add rice or warm it at home. Save hours of prepping and cooking when you dont have energy but still want delicious and healthy options. Pokestop: I was too hungry to play and food was too delicious to be ignored.

From potato salad to raw marinated crabs, this market-style Korean shop sells a large varied of pre-packaged Korean side dishes for take-away. They even sell bento boxes for a convenient meal while on the run. I ordered the Japchae, Keto gimbap, Sugar glazed sweet potato, and Spicy fish cake! Everything was so good! The spicy fish cakes were my favorite. Will definitely go back to buy some freezer items to try!

This Umma' specialty is ban chan item. Thus the name is Ma's Banchan. She does prepared lots of fresh food in the morning. Then if they don't sell, she'll put them in the fridge. Most of them taste decent and sell out. Price is reasonable, mostly due to take away style instead of dine in. So service typically fast. Even with the ordering. Only takes 5-10 minutes. Nice little store and clean all over the place, including fridge. No frost etc. Support this local store.

I've been a regular at Ma's Banchan for a while, and I can confidently say this place is one of the true gems in Diamond Bar. They have a variety of freshly made dishes including gimbap, japchae, ban chan(side dishes) and hearty Korean soups/stews. Their gimbap tastes so fresh like a home-cooked meal. I often get gimbap for my coworkers, and they enjoy it very much every time they try it. Their seasoning is spot on, balanced and savory. Also, the side dishes taste much more homemade than what you might find at supermarket-style Korean spots, and their soups are flavorful and comforting. It's a great place for a quick bite or take-out meal. I highly recommend trying their bulgogi/gobo/tuna/spicy pork/keto gimbap, Korean style sweet fried chicken, assorted pancakes, and a variety of side dishes including pumpkin salad and seaweed side dish. Honestly, everything I've tried there was great. I'm just thankful that there is a local place like this that I can just stop by and grab something good and healthy for my lunch or dinner at work. For japchae, I recommend trying it early in the morning when it's freshly made. You'll get to taste one of the best japchae ever. Most importantly, staff are friendly, and the place is clean. If you like real Korean flavors and comfort-food vibes, Ma's Banchan is absolutely worth a visit!

I really wanted to like this place and I was so excited to try out their gimbap as I'm a big gimbap fan and my parents actually prefer gimbap over sushi rolls. Don't get me wrong, our food was packaged with perfection and our rolls were made with lots of care and were picture perfect. The ratio of ingredients to rice was great, etc. It's just that the rice for all of our gimbap was so, so dry. Even with dipping it in sauce, it didn't help alleviate the dryness. I think the best thing to do would have been to soak them in instant noodle broth or some other kind of soup, but everyone's initial excitement drained very quickly after the first couple bites and this later became a chore to finish the rest of our rolls. Not sure what happened. Maybe it was a bad end of the day batch, but we did eat it immediately when we got home and we don't live too far away either. From the tuna, beef bulgogi, and sausage gimbap, the beef bulgogi was the favorite since the meat itself offered a bit more moisture with its sauced seasoning that the others.

Ma's Banchan in Diamond Bar is a new family-owned Korean store that sells takeaway food that is already pre-packaged for you to take back to your home and get up. Some items might not need to be heated and others do depending on what you have bought. The store is small so there is no seating inside. There are plenty of different Korean soups, porridge, and also different items that I have never tried before. I did ask the person who rang us up if everything was made in their kitchen in the back and they did say yes. There are plenty of side dishes like potato salad, sweet potatoes, noodles, beansprouts, eggs, and different things you can have this as a snack which I do, or make it a meal for lunch or dinner.

That said I was pleasantly surprised with how balanced the meal was. I ordered three pockets: spicy tuna, grilled pepper salmon, and takowasa (octopus and wasabi).
