I had been on the website and found two separate plinking rifles I wanted to buy, but after two hours I was over it. Went on the website again where I ordered and paid for them. Full seven days to get them from a store an hour away. NICS got "delayed" which is pretty common here, so I called to try and check the status after a week and after being hung up on before even answering by customer service, the guy who finally answered spoke like he hated having to work at all, and basically said it could take 30 days so there's no point in calling for a status update. Gun counter wouldn't even answer. 30 days to just hope I get a call about taking possession of my $1000 purchase. Incredible waste of time for overpriced products and rude customer service. This is one store our area could do without.

This is the perfect place to stop in to pick up your hunting license, to pick up your ammo, buy a new gun. If clothing is what your after they have boty men's and women's Casual or is you specifically need hunting, or fishing they can hook you up. Need a boating, kayak, or a 4X4 they can sell you one of those as well? They have it all under One roof. Spend some time going and visiting a Cabela's you won't regret it. I think it's a great family atmosphere. Especially around Christmas. They have the best north pole and santa comes to visit to sit with all the children for pictures. This is not just a store it's a family.

First off, Once you park to walk in, you have to walk over this unique bridge with a fish filled…read morefast moving stream below which is really impressive! One of the many pros with this place is they always have the latest & greatest outdoor gear & supplies. I have purchased hunting & fishing supplies here before Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc.. If it's fresh on the market and tried & tested they have it. Secondly, which for me personally is the main reason I've always stopped in when I get in the area is their INCREDIBLE flavors & selections of the jerky & smoked fish they make fresh in-house. I personally have never found, nor have talked to anyone else that has had better jerky once they've picked it up here. I'm not a big smoked fish guy, but occasionally pick some up. But their jerky is an absolute must have every time. Not to mention I am very impressed at the cleanliness of this place and how the food is kept & distributed. Cleanliness is extremely important for me. Also the staff has always seemed to have that down to earth feel that I get from them. I never feel rushed and anytime I needed help or had a question, they always have given me so much respect to answer all my questions and I've never left there with unanswered questions. I'm not sure if their family owned & operated but in the past on things I've inquired about, without hesitation, if there was a better price somewhere else, they let me know that right away and where else to go. That no salesman pressure that most stores have I have never experienced here and it's just another reason to add why I always come back. Thirdly, if you are a beginner to professional bow hunter. They have a large indoor shooting range for both bow & crossbow. It's a perfect place to dial in your sights in the off season, go shooting for fun, as well as helping both youth & first timers get accustomed to both shooting & their new gear in a warm indoor environment without being rushed. The staff are very knowledgeable and there's no pressure from them. So it's a perfect place to go at your own pace comfortably. Also they have a wide selection of bows & crossbows in stock that you can also try out if your still shopping for the best equipment for your style. With the jerky selection it seems they get more creative as the years go by. When I was 6 or 7 I would always be invited with my father & the guys every year for a hunting trip in northern Michigan. Back then, if I remember correctly, they only had regular jerky, spicy jerky & also turkey jerky. When I was there a few days ago they have even more then they had last year. I don't remember exactly the selection but they do have the normal regular & spicy, as well as the turkey jerky. The flavors I picked up the other day included those 3 as well as garlic & cracked pepper, buttery prime rib, teriyaki, and I believe it was called honey bacon jerky. They give you free samples of anything before you buy and I fell in love with those new flavors. There is more flavors I just don't remember the names, I would guess they have 7-10 different flavor jerky's from what I can remember. Their smoked fish I believe they have 3-6 different types but I'm not 100% on that. I've never tried it nor asked, but a friend that lives by there said to google Twin Ponds in Stanton, Michigan for their phone number. Because now they offer to overnight express mail jerky/fish orders. I'm from Michigan but now live in Florida. I will definitely be placing many orders now that I live down in Florida. There's plenty more I can post about what sets this place apart from the rest but I've posted enough as it is. I will end this review with a funny story about their jerky if you don't mind a bit more reading...;) My neighbor is an inner city police officer. I'm not sure if his wife is a vegetarian but anytime I've offered venison she pipes in a big NO WAY!!! Lol When I came home the last time with all the jerky types I called him to offer him some. He said he has never liked jerky in the past but I talked him into just trying the original. I also left him a couple pieces of each kind I had just to try. This morning he contacted me wanting to get info on Twin Ponds, but he still didn't mention anything about the jerky yet. I told him I'll be up that way this Wednesday whitetail deer hunting if he needed me to stop. Needless to say the guy who doesn't like jerky is giving me an order to pick up a bunch when I go up for himself and his fellow officers as I guess they all fell in love with it. So after Wednesday when I return it sounds like there's gonna be a bunch of squad cars driving around carrying Twin Ponds jerky with several very happy police officers!! Thank you for reading my post. I hope you enjoy Twin Ponds as much as I have been able to for all these years.

We got to the store and they did indeed have the bat in both sizes....unfortunately most of the bats at Dick's have a theft prevention device affixed to the middle of the bat. This device not only adds weight, but affects the balance of the bat, so you can't get an accurate feel for a bat with this stupid thing attached to it. So, I found the sales associate working in the baseball section and asked if they could remove the security device so my son could determine which of the two bats he wanted. The sales associate said that they couldn't remove it. What?!?! You've got to be kidding me! Now, I could have just bought the bat, had my son check it out, and then return it, but that really doesn't make much sense now, does it? I promptly walked out of the store, frustrated that we drove 30 minutes for that! A great example of a customer service failure. Won't be going back to the Holland store again, I'll stick to the Rivertown store from now on (the location where we did end up buying the bat). Neither location has great service, seems to be common thread with most of the DSG's I've been to. Only reason we didn't go to Rivertown in the first place was because their website didn't have an accurate inventory of the bat being in stock. Go figure.
