This is an average score taking into account all the times ive had appointments at Mac Med. Gia, who's no longer there, was the best eyebrow aesthetician ive ever had. I now see Linda (aesthetician Linda) who is super fast, efficient and is my new go to for brows, facials, etc. Linda (hairdresser Linda) does the best partial foil ive literally ever had and Luciana is a rockstar at everything! Shes the only one Id trust with more extensive/semi invasive procedures like the KTP and (im not sure what it is called) but i spoke to her a while back about the scar removal procedure. I know its kind of painful so im still debating but if i do decide to get it done it would only be because she is there. She performs almost every service offered here and is the best of the best. DO NOT let her go! Shes the real deal!!! This is the best spa around the blackstone valley (probably MA but most of my spa visits have taken place in this vacinity). You wont be sorry! read more

I want to like this place, living in Milford it's very convenient! However...I've been there 4 times now, the most recent visit tonight. Only once have I been taken in on time, the rest had significant wait times. I can't reccomend this place at all. The scheduling is never straight, you will always be waiting and the employees don't know their schedules correctly. The results of what you get are good, at best. And the atmosphere is less than relaxing when you have clients in the waiting room talking loudly on their cell phones. I'll be going back to Ciao Bella and staying there!! read more

I had such a pleasant appointment with Christina today! She is very nice and knows what she is doing. I just have one thing that I did not like about Mac Med was that when I went to pay it came out to $105 which was $20 extra from what the price I thought I was going to spend which was $95. The $95 came from online when I looked up the prices. I called Mac Med back and they explained that each stylist has a set price apparently. It would of just been nice to know that. read more

Worst Experience ever, the woman who does laser Debbie is extorting money. They gave me an estimate to do both my legs, and told me to split sittings, in the second sitting which was supposed to be followup of the first they charged me again. The woman threatened to call police if I did not pay. Save your money they are bunch of crooks, will give you a different estimate and charge you almost double the amount. They have no paper work at all, they do not give you anything in writing. BEWARE. read more

Relaxing place, nice employees, plenty of services to choose from. Parking is easy at the back of the building. My friend regularly goes to Mac Med Spa for practically every beauty service from hair to nail, also for dermal fillers, facials, eye lash extension etc. She looks wonderful and confident so I also tried Mac Med and could not be happier. terrible, I came here with my step sister and her and I both got our hair and make up done. We wanted a day of beauty before going to our neice's wedding. The make up was in one building and the hair was in a seperate building, so we didn't even have teh day of beauty TOGETHER. My make up application was done in the tiniest corner behind a tanning booth and in the most uncomfortable chair, the make up "artist" used maybeline mascara and made my eyebrows look like caterpillers and my face was super pale. I took a before and after picture and looked scary. Thats not even the worst ! My hair, which I didnt wash for a few days so the updo would look better, she didn't use a curling iron/flat iron.. NO product... there was NOTHING! .... I asked for a french twist classy and sleek with some height in the crown, I ended up looking like a messy grandma, she didn't know how to tease hair and sure as heck didn't know how to execute a french twist. I was NOT happy. I still ended up paying for the services and tipping becuase I am shy and hate confrontation. Both my step sister and I got home and took our hair out and washed our faces and did it all ourself $300.00 down the drain. I called the store later that week to see if she would refund me the terrible services and she offered a $40.00 credit to my account for useat Mac Med Spa, and I told her I don't live in the state and wont be returning to use that credit, and she could do nothing else for me. I am NOT happy with this place. I wasted valuable hard earned money for terrible services of NO quality. I would no reccoment anyone there and for sure will not be returning. read more

Called early on a recent snowy Saturday and was able to book two facials for my daughter and I later that afternoon. We were greeted promptly and I was scheduled with Dimitra and my daughter was with Denise. From the minute I entered the room Dimitra pampered not only my face and décolletage, but also my hands, heart and soul. The facial she chose for me took into account my aging and sensitive skin and was completely relaxing. It was suggested I purchased Rosaclear ($42) which I did though it was overpriced. Great facial and experience, but for an hour paying at $242 seemed high /mine was $120, teenage daughter $75. read more

I want to like this place. I have been here several times, but sadly, I won't be returning. This is one of the only places I have found that offers couples massages, which was a huge selling point. My boyfriend and I have gone about 3 times. While he's always been satisfied, I always seem to have a disappointing experience. The last time we went, his masseuse was someone he's had in the past. I, however, had another woman. Not sure if she was new, but it was hands down the worst massage I have ever had. The first 10 minutes I laid there, face down, covered almost up to my ears in blankets, while she fiddled with something in the corner (towels, lotions, who knows). Meanwhile, my boyfriend's massage has been well underway for those 10 minutes. She then comes back and lightly touches my back for a minute. When she decides to take the blanket down to start the massage, her hands were ICE COLD. She then talks to me for 10 minutes (mind you, I was trying to relax and enjoy this experience) about how cold her hands are. Every 5 minutes, she would stop the massage, get up, and again, do something on the opposite side of the room. The pressure was so light that it felt like I was simply having lotion applied to my body. She placed the heating pad on random parts of my body and wrapped one foot up in a hot towel - not sure what the point was. When she left, she never removed the heating pad, I had to get up and place it on the ground. Worst massage experience to date. While the staff is friendly and it has a great atmosphere, I can't justify spending any more of my money here. read more

I went in for a massage a couple times because I loved the therapist I was going to. The first time I noticed that the massage seemed to be cut short(15minutes), but I thought maybe it was an oversight and didn't let it bother me. The second time I scheduled an appointment with the same therapist. I showed up early and we started 15miuntes past the time of my appointment, which didn't bother me. I just thought we would end later considering it was the therapist who was running late. Then instead of ending at the proper time, the therapist ended the massage at the original time it would of ended if we had started on time. Once again cutting 15minutes off my massage. I have not been back since and when contacting them about it, just to let them know, they never responded. read more

My visit could have been a lot better. The employee who treated me, spoke to me on the phone the day before for an estimate of the procedure. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH ASKING FOR AN ESTIMATE. The following day was my appointment and the actual cost was about four times greater than the estimate (hundreds of dollars more). The machine to complete my procedure kept reading an error message while she was starting so we could not use it and had to move to the next room which is not my main concern. My concern was that as soon as the client in that room left, we went right in through the adjoining door. She did not change the paper on the table/bed and it was clear that the imprint from the last person was in the paper barrier. After having trouble with this second machine we got going. During the procedure she paused and with her gloved hands opened her Altoids tin, popped a mint in her mouth and offered me one as well. I declined and also wondered how many other clients used gloves have been in that tin of mints as well?..yuck! Aside from all of this, my suggestion for the future would be: the employee completing laser hair removal would be to have a consult for the treatment areas you will plan to be completing in person. There are variables to making an estimate such as the 1)amount of hair, 2)size of the area and 3)it also depends on who's treating you according to the employee I had for my procedure (she outwardly admitted she was not the best at laser hair removal compared to others at Mac Med, which is not a confidence booster as a client). I wish I never accepted the treatment. read more

Let me begin with the waxing. I went in for a leg (lower only), bikini & eyebrow wax. I started by telling her I have super sensitive skin & am allergic to aloe. She started with my eyebrows, used waxed that burned (chemically, not temp-wise) and then when I commented told me it was just the heat of the wax. Um, no, had this done before, not the same thing at all. Suffered through that only to have her slather on lotion WITH ALOE. When I reminded her I was allergic to aloe she dashed from the room and came back with a gel mask to apply to my face after she washed it off. On to the legs...you'd think after the amount of time she spent on my legs (almost 45 minutes) they would have been completely hairless when she was done; not so much, patches all over. I had to shave them the next morning and have had to continue to since. Admittedly she did a decent job with the bikini wax. After she finished the bikini area she went back to review the damage to my eyebrows. More lotion. Different lotion. All over my face. Reminded her I'm super-sensitive to all that stuff, "Don't worry, this will be fine, it will sooth the skin". Not so much. It was some sort of tinted crap that caused the remainder of my face to later break out like a 15 year old. It turned the facecloth orange. The eyebrows themselves? They were so enflamed and irritated it looked like I had poison ivy and to top it off, they don't match. I have to fill the left one in with a brow pencil, hope it fills back in soon :-/ Now on to the nails. The girl that did my pedicure was fantastic and did a lovely job on my French tip toes. The one that did my manicure was pretty full of herself and my nails, my way-over-priced pink & whites...bad, bad, bad. They looked good when I left, though the edges were a little sharp and they weren't quite what I expected visually (the pink part is kind of a squat oval and the white part is really long so it looks like my nail bed is really small, which makes my fingers look kind of stunted). And they felt kind of bumpy/wavy and thicker than I'm used to for gel nails, but it was the first time I had pink & whites done so maybe that's they were supposed to be....Two days later the pink part of the nail was showing cracks and the edges of the nail (along the cuticle) was lifting up and catching on everything. Two days after that I went to 3 different salons to get their opinion. All 3 agreed that it looked like a student had practiced on me and they were aghast that I had not only paid for them but had OVERPAID for them. I'm going back to one of them tomorrow to have them redone for FREE, he assures me that once he does them I'll be a customer for life. As for Mac Med? They've seen the last of me and my money. I'd recommend saving yours too and steering clear of this place. You can get a decent pedicure for a lot less elsewhere. read more

Normally this is my go to place for spa treatments, however my experience today was disastrous. I called in the morning and made an appt for 1:30 today, but upon showing up I learned that the male receptionist had scheduled me for the completely wrong date. The next available time they could take me for my quick eyebrow and lip wax wasn't until 2:45. I came back later for the appt, and was even more dissatisfied. My wax specialist (I believe her name was Lindsey) did not ask me what I wanted and didn't speak a word the whole time. When she was finished, she told me promptly and did not even show me the finished product in a mirror to ask me if i was satisfied, like they normally do. She just opened the door and walked out, completely disinterested in me. No thank you for coming in, or expressing concerns for how I felt about the outcome. Upon getting home, I realized that she completely botched my eyebrows, waxing way too much hair off from the center and waxed them unevenly. She also made my lip bleed, which I was only made aware by looking in the mirror at home. It is highly unlikely i will return for any wax treatment again. read more

I was highly dissatisfied with my experience at your salon the morning of my wedding day. The visit started out quiet nice when we walked in the hair salon and saw goodie bags and sparkling water waiting for us, but that was all a dissraction for how horribly the day was about to go. My hair came out perfect and Jen was super nice and helpful all day. But the person who did my sisters hair spent all of 20 mins for a $65 updo...that is unexacptble! If she is paying $65 for an updo then they should spend more time on it instead of halfassing it. We got done early and Jen proceeded to walk us over to the salon where we sat and waited for 45 mins. When it was finally our turn we were asked what we were looking for, so we both showed them pictures. My sister got exactly what she wanted and I got the complete opposite. Both makeup artist then asked if we wanted eye lashes, that's when I asked "how much?" They proceeded with its included in the package and "I said I was quoted $65 for the package" and they said yes that sounds right. After getting the lashes and almost all the makeup done, we were then told if we wanted our lipstick to stay on we had to buy a tube of it since you don't provide the permanent one. So we had no other option but to buy it. After everything was all done and we proceeded to check out, to my surprise I was being over charged! I asked why? And was told because of the lashes. I got upset because I specifically asked before getting them done or else I wouldn't have gotten them. I was already paying more than planned due to the fact I had to buy lipstick! If I wanted to buy lipstick and eyelashes I would have gone to the store and done my own makeup. Your employees are scam artist and so are you. After agreeing to pay the amount, your receptionist couldn't even figure out how to let my sister and I pay separately, causing me to stay for an additional 15-20 mins making me late for my venue. I will never come to your business again or recommend you to anyone! You should be ashamed with the way you and your employees scam people. read more

this place is horrible. my mother in law got me a gift card so i could get a facial and holy crap it was not relaxing at all. lets say i literally felt like someone took a sharp blade and cut across my chin. products were slathered all other my face and it was NOT THE SLIGHTEST bit relaxing. when i got home my face looked like i was attacked no joke, it was red inflamed burning and so so uncomfortable. needless to say there was a raw area under my chin that now its been weeks and it hasn't healed properly. the lady was so rough and i know extractions are supposed to hurt but this was beyond pain. i have pictures before my facial and after but its not worth it. i just wont return. you spend over 100 dollars and you expect to be pampered. i was overcharged too. a facial customized says 75 but i paid well over 100. the most important thing is with hard earned money you expect to be taken care of not taken advantage of. i have 100 dollars left in gift cards and i would sooner rather kiss donald trump than to return to this establishment. read more
