The experience started badly when I was shown to a foot spa that was still full of dirt and nail clippings from the previous customer. I had to wait while it was cleaned before my appointment could even begin. The salon itself appeared unclean. There were cotton buds, cotton wool, and other debris visible on the floor and in the corners. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, and throughout our visit none of the staff were welcoming or friendly. We were barely spoken to, and unlike many salons, there wasn't even a simple offer of a bottle of water. Another thing that stood out was the lack of proper equipment. Instead of using standard foam toe separators before applying the nail polish, the staff simply stuffed pieces of tissue paper between our toes. I've had many pedicures over the years and have never seen a salon do this. My granddaughter's pedicure was also smudged and had to be redone on one of her toes. The most upsetting part happened after we paid. The total came to $125 for two adult pedicures and one child's pedicure. As we were leaving, an older staff member came running outside shouting, "No tips? No tips?" in front of everyone in the salon. My daughter politely explained that we were unhappy with the service. Instead of listening, he became angry, shouted at us, and even used the F-word in front of our 9-year-old granddaughter. No customer should ever be treated that way. One more thing we noticed was a sign in the salon offering customers a $10 voucher in exchange for leaving a five-star Google review. That made us question how many of the glowing reviews genuinely reflect customers' experiences. We cannot recommend this salon. Between the lack of cleanliness, poor customer service, unprofessional practices, rude treatment, and the aggressive confrontation over tipping, this was one of the worst salon experiences we've ever had. We hope this review helps other people make an informed decision before spending their money here

I've been going to Kelli for years now and LOVE her. I've worked in a hair projects company, and have been in contact with a number of stylist and she is by far the BEST. Her cuts and color are perfect. She takes her time and listens, you never feel rushed or that she isn't listening to what you want or like. If you have no idea of what you want, she talks to you and explains what would work. I've had friends comment a number of times on my color and style of the cut Kelli had given me. I highly recommend Kelli, she very extremely nice, makes you feel comfortable and I always enjoy my time with her at the salon. read more

Melissa is a fantastic stylist that just gets it - my 8 year son has tons of cowlicks, generally unruly hair, and lots of it! Melissa's cuts his hair EXACTLY as I request it be done and she knows how to make him look his very best. I would switch over to Melissa myself, however I am loyal to my current stylist who I have know for years. Another bonus is that she is on time! Yes people, on time which is rare with stylists these days. She gets my highest recommendation because she is super talented, listens, and is on time. I can't say enough about Kelli and Sanctuary Salon. I've been going to see her for many years now, at the recommendation of my sister, and have been very happy. Kelli is great at what she does and she is honest about what will work for me or not. I know I can trust her to do a great cut, color and style. I have been going to Sanctuary for several years, and have been seeing Kim who is an absolutely fabulous stylist. She listens, gives helpful advice, and I always feel beautiful when I leave. While there, I can see the work of the other stylists, and every head is a knockout when it leaves. The salon itself is tastefully decorated yet has a cool vibe. I recommend Sanctuary when someone needs a hair salon. They are a full service salon, also, and I have had eyebrow shaping in the past. Went here after receiving a very thoughtful mother's day gift card to get my hair done. My mother in law always raves about this place, so I had to check it out. I saw Pam, and had a wash, cut, and style done. Wasn't 100% sure of what I wanted, only knew I wanted layers. Pam was so sweet and kind and was able to make my hair look amazing!!! This was my first visit to Sanctuary and my GPS misdirected me a little so I called the spa for guidance and Ginger the receptionist cheerfully talked me to the spa location. Then, above and beyond the call of duty, she came out to my car to make sure I knew which direction to go from the parking lot to get to the spa entrance. I have to RAVE about Nicole! She gives the BEST massage I have ever had. I now refuse to go to anyone but her. She is professional, extremely nice, really listens to what you need/want and makes sure you are satisfied with pressure. Full set Lashes with Jackie! I have incredibly dry, sensitive eyes. Jackie has the midas touch, I felt nothing. Past lash extensions felt scratchy and irritating. Went yesterday for the first time and absolutely loved it. I had scheduled a 90 minute swedish massage followed by a spa pedicure and left the spa feeling so completely relaxed. I was greeted promptly upon arrival at the spa and didn't have to wait before they took me right back for my massage. Since I moved into the area, everyone I saw just lazily dried my hair into a frizzy mess then used a straightener to make it flat and boring. I personally prefer a top tier quality set of acrylics especially if i'm going to spend $50-$110 - and I normally get my nails done in the cities, (Boston, Providence, NY, LA, etc.), but I truly loved the vibe of Bellagio Nail Bar & Lashes. Small towns usually overprice, or the tech isn't putting love into the work, but she put so much time and care. I'll definitely be back.

But the hygiene is really poor here. The same tools are used across clients without any sanitation in between (clippers, cuticle trimmers, nail files, electric drimmels) and it makes me so uncomfortable. If they can just increase their hygiene practices it would be perfect. I also have the problem with the nail techs always over buffing my nails. The common practice these days in all the salons is to use the electric drimmel to buff nails and it always hurts and damages my nails so much. I used to do my own dip nails for years and know they don't need that much buffing so it's a shame. I'd love to do my own nail prep and then have the artists just paint the designs.

Your hair is definitely an important part of your appearance (unless like my husband you're bald). After 20 years I was stressed. I tried someone in the same salon but she was slow. I am a busy lady. I can't spend 4 hours in the salon. I tried someone else and she didn't do enough color and I didn't like the cut. As a Yelper I proceeded to Yelp. I found this Salon in my home town. Perfect! Good reviews AND convenient! Where do I start? Do I tell you how cute and clean the shop was? Should I tell you that Nicole made me feel welcome and listened intently to what I was looking for? Or do I tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed her and the conversation? Maybe more importantly I should tell you that my hair looks fabulous!!!! Thank God I found my hairdresser for the next 20 years! My daughter has…read morebeen to this salon in the past for a haircut with a female hairstylist and we have been happy with our experience. However, my daughter went in for a prom appt last May and unfortunately and unbeknownst to me, we were given what seemed to be a new and inexperienced Male hairstylist. My daughter showed Sam an example of a half up and half down updo with some soft beach waves. Instead, she received an updo that lacked sheekness and elegance with tight curls. I honestly could have done a much better job and have in the past, but wanted to avoid the stress of doing her hair on such a special occasion. I honestly don't think that any person going to a special event such as the Prom or a Wedding should have to go through the horrific experience we went through on this day. This is my first time writing a negative review, but we were upset that the manager disregarded how upset we were and never received an apology from anyone. This was very upsetting. I understand that like any job it takes time and experience for a hairstylist to become very good. However, shame on them for allowing an inexperienced hairstylist to take on updos on such an important day as the Prom. The receptionist could have mentioned that perhaps he was new. I regret not taking a picture. I had to immediately redo her hair at home in a 30 minute window before pictures were taken. I am not one to post something so negative or hurtful , but I want to save future girls from experiencing what we experienced.
