The wife and I went on Friday night at 5pm sat down right away and a waiter was there in no time. I ordered the Special 8 oz filet w/baked potato and got a side Caesar salad and was made to perfection and the salad was to die for. The wife got the Olga chicken and fries and said it was great. First time there on July 4. Went with a friend for lunch. He had the pulled pork. I had the special which was the BBQ chopped prime rib sandwich. It was huge. It had coleslaw on it, and came with house made potato chips and their house made french onion dip. It was a lot of food and so delicious. Brandy was our server. She was friendly, explained the menu and the special, and was very attentive. Our drinks stayed full and she made sure to check on us regularly, but not too much. I'm so bummed! I've been SO excited to try this place, but unfortunately it missed the mark on this visit. I'd definitely be open to giving it another shot after they've been open a little longer. The bad: The restaurant itself was hot. The thermostat in the main dining room read 82 degrees, and it appeared to be turned off. There were no fans, either. When another group came in, they were encouraged to sit in the back because it was much cooler, but we never received that suggestion. Since it's a seat-yourself setup, we were seated quickly, but it also meant our server had tables scattered throughout the restaurant, so check-ins were pretty infrequent. There were also pesky flies. I even included a photo of one because between bites we were constantly swatting them away. I'm also confused about the steak kabobs. The marinade tasted almost like Greek yogurt, or as if the onions had gone bad. The steak itself was poor quality, and the portion size of the steak was surprisingly small. The meat was overcooked and cooked not to the temp I requested. My dad's steak was undercooked by a lot and we had to get it re-fired. The good: Our server (I don't remember her name) was kind and clearly doing her best despite being very busy. The wings were decent, and the baked potato was good. Lost of tables open. I saw a lot of people coming to the bar asking when their food would come out. I also saw people coming up to the bar grabbing their own utensils because they never received theirs. The patio was open and nice. We had a table for two so we sat at the bar. We waited about an hour for our appetizer. After asking if it was coming out soon. The appetizer we had was toasted ravioli. It was good! I ordered the chicken kabobs for my meal. They extremely lacked flavor. They just tasted like chicken on the grill with no flavor although the menu said it had a garlic butter sauce on it ( it did not ). My sides were potatoes and salad . The potatoes were mushy and lacked any flavor. The waitress stated "they dont normally look like that sorry ." My other side was salad, that never came out. Once I returned the chicken kabobs I told the owner I never received my salad. The salad that was brought was not crispy actually quite soft, the croutons were soft also. The waitress brought me another salad which seemed a little better. The owner had kind of an attitude that I sent my food back. And said something in the words of " Wow no one has said anything about the food". My soda was watered down, check the pictures for reference. I won't be returning. read more

We really wanted to try this place since they feature Olga's which was a favorite of my wife's and mine from their other location. First time we tried to eat here, about a month ago, we were told it was taking about an hour for any food out of the kitchen, so we left. However, a few days ago we were successful getting seated. We initially had a server who my wife knew and then all of a sudden she said another server would be helping us as she got asked for by another customer as a personal request. UGH...that was strange. Could she not care for us and them at the same time? Anyway, my wife and I ordered the snackers which were WAY underseasoned and just seemed like lightly seasoned pita, definately not what we expected and the cheese seemed like it was still kind of frozen and difficult to spread. I ordered the Olga gyro with a bowl of, what I expected, brocolli cheddar soup and my wife got the chef salad with shrimp. My gyro hardly had any olga sauce (tziziki) on it and most of the gyro meat was overcooked and hard. The soup wasn't the same as we remembered and seemed more like brocooli and beer cheese soup. UGH. My wife's salad was nothing special and she wasn't happy the tails were still on the shrimp. After we were done and got the bill, I asked our server for something simply, 2 styrofoam cups to take our iced teas with us........we waited so long, I went to the bar to get them. She did pop out with a large tray of food for another table and apologized that she forgot. Within 2 hours my wife and I got very sick. My wife and I both had diarrhea and she threw up. We were laid up for the rest of the day and most of the next day. If you miss Olga's, you will still miss them. To put salt on the wound, when we went last week, we were told they didn't have the spinach pie yet. :( We won't be back, but my wife and I are feeling much better...and a bit thinner. LOL read more

We decided to try Mac's on Main today one of the newest spots in Belleville. It was not packed at all for a Sunday afternoon. Service upon walking in was not too bad we sat at the bar and the bartender took really good care of us. One thing to note, it might've been warmer inside the building than it was outside. My only complaint. Appetizers came out within five minutes of putting them in. Everything was hot and crispy. Those tacos are pretty close to Jack-in-the-Box and they're really good with sour cream and salsa. The mushroom and Swiss was top-tier with the Texas toast. One of the thickest burgers that was cooked all the way through I think I've seen. Flavor was spot on with the mushrooms and Swiss. The chicken ogle was fresh had a good crunch to it and the curly fries were very crispy. All in all was a good time will be back for sure. read more

We went on a Wednesday night and it was packed! Place was busy and buzzing. We are fans of Olga's so we really are glad this place is up and running. We ordered the basics. Burgers. Sliders. Gyro. I came up there Wednesday burger was good fries were good too but they need to improve thing's there next time I come back only paying cash not my card they need a busser food is expensive especially the steaks bathroom was dirty air conditioning was slow not enough cold air they need ceiling fans I guess they don't believe in busser my table was dirty no menus for kids to me it doesn't seem like a good restaurant to me they could do much better ok the manager lady was nice hopefully they will do better when I come back again thanks Karen ohara read more

I forgot to take a picture of my meal, but it was great. I got the blacked tilapia. They had a great wait staff, everyone seemed to be pulling together, whether it was 'their table' or not. I'm so glad this place has opened back up. The enclosed patio was always a favorite. Although I haven't checked out the back courtyard yet, I hope its open too. There's allot of room here. First visit to Mac's on Main and was not disappointed. The Sunday special was prime rib with two sides and I have to tell you, the prime rib was cooked a perfect medium rare as I requested, and tender and delicious. I had the Caesar salad for a side and the dressing was great and it was loaded with Parmesan cheese. The other side, asparagus, was also good. We had the fried shrimp and cheese sticks for appetizers and both were remarkable. The cost was very reasonable and the service excellent. I'll definitely be going back. read more

Absolutely disappointing experience from start to finish. The service was some of the worst I've encountered. The servers had terrible attitudes and made it feel like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. Our food order came out incorrect, and when we politely brought the mistake to their attention and asked for it to be fixed, we were met with more attitude instead of an apology or any effort to make things right. The replacement order took even longer to arrive, which only added to the frustration. What was even more concerning was the overall lack of professionalism we witnessed from management. The owner became visibly irate with another group of customers while their small child was present. Seeing that interaction, along with the way our own concerns were handled, created an extremely uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. Mistakes happen -- that's understandable. What isn't acceptable is the lack of courtesy, professionalism, and respect shown toward customers. A good experience can often be saved by how a business handles problems, but unfortunately that was not the case here. We will not be returning. read more

This is a long one.... I never leave negative reviews, but I feel the need to warn people about this restaurant, especially during a heat advisory. My family (mom, 80 year old grandma, 6 years old, & 6 month old) and I went to dinner here last night. We didn't notice how hot it was inside until we sat down. We asked our waitress if they could turn the A/C down, and she said the A/C was out and they were getting a new one next week.... She said the other side of the restaurant was cooler, but it was filled.... we foolishly decided to stay thinking it wouldn't be that bad. We were so wrong. We were told our food would take 45 min. As we waited, it really started to get hot inside... We decided that one of us would take the kids outside to cool off. It was about 90 degrees outside, if that tells you anything, but there was at least a breeze. Another parent was already outside with their baby because they also thought it was too hot inside for a baby. We stayed after the kids cooled off a little because we figured our food would be out soon enough. We truly didnt want to be *those* people to leave after we ordered. Our food finally came, and it was beyond disappointing. I ordered 2 sliders- one with pulled pork & one with crispy chicken. When I ordered, my waitress asked if I wanted to add cheese to my chicken sandwich, and I said yes. It came out with nothing but chicken on it. The pulled pork slider came out with nothing but pulled pork, and no sauce. This meal came with French onion dip and chips, but the dip was in a cup that would usually be brought out if you asked for a side of sauce...and it was half full. The chips were so over-cooked that even my 6 year old noticed. We gave up and decided we'd pack the food up, pay, and leave. We could not take the heat anymore. On the way out, I asked an employee to please let the manager know that someone should really let the guests know at the door that the A/C was out. She was very kind, and said she thought the manager should really hear it from me... I realized why when I spoke to her. The manager was completely unsympathetic and flat out rude when I tried to explain that I understood telling guests about the A/C being out is bad for business, but some people, like my kids and grandma, cannot handle that kind of heat for that long. She cut me off & immediately argued with me saying the A/C is not out, but that it is just getting repaired next week. I said that that is not what I was told, and she continued to deny it was out without even a simple apology for our horrible experience. She condescendingly thanked me for "letting her know," and we left. Do not go to this restaurant. It is not safe if you are sensitive to the heat- for guests or the employees who some of which were dripping in sweat, like our waitress. It is not worth your time or money. And, it is not worth the experience, especially when the manager is so inconsiderate. read more

This place is really good and the service was incredible when I was there. Our server was very sweet and kept checking on us several times, filling up our drinks, and providing us with updates about the food. I ordered a philly cheesesteak and it was the best thing I ever ate, highly recommend. All of the employees were very nice and warned us right when we walked in that it was cooler in the back and that the food would take around 25 minutes we didn't mind waiting and had a very pleasant experience. First off, you seat yourself. We walked the whole place trying to find a table vs a hostess seating you. From order to food was over an hour. Water glasses dirty. Had a blue moon with an orange slice that looked mangled and was dry (as if it was previously used). There was a stale smell, I believe is the carpet? They moved into a preexisting building and I don't think the carpets were cleaned. Bathroom was dirty. Our snackers wear doughy and undercooked and were served after the meal arrived. Our original Olga was not original. Lack of meat and Olga sauce smelled sour. My olga meal did not taste much like Olgas. Kyle, the server, was very nice and knew the menu--but kept making excuses for the delays instead of providing answers. The outside of the building was weedy and overgrown. I see positive reviews here is why we tried it. Either they had a spectacular launch or these reviews are friends. My husband is not picky like me, but he said we won't be back.
