Shrimp and rice
Brion C.

Nice local restaurant with great Colombian food and great pastries. We had dinner and it was delicious - calamari, salmon, churrasco beef, shrimp and rice, chicken and mushroom and the mixed platter with steak, pork belly and egg. Service was great - our wait person spoke almost no English and we spoke very little Spanish, but it all worked out great.

This place is amazing!! Real Colombian food right here in cutler bay. The servers treat you like your over a friends house. And the food was hot and ready. Don't sleep on this spot right here for true Colombian vibes

Arepa de choclo con quesito

Placed a takeout order from Macita's on a Saturday afternoon, food was fresh and tasty. I had the Arepa de Choclo con Queso and it was one of the best Colombian Arepa's I've had. I also ordered the Sancocho de Carne de Res and it wasn't as great as I expected, but not a bad soup. My wife had the Bandeja Paisa con Carne Asada and this is THE plate to get. Great portions, a bit of everything, very tasty. Will order again!

Delicious Colombian food! Been here a few times before and guess never rated them. I've ordered delivery and the food is always good no matter how you order it! Prices are great for the amount of food given and staff is always friendly and professional. You can get a full Breakfast for $6.75 that includes.. Toast, code with milk, two eggs your way, sausage or ham, and house potatoes. The beef empanadas are good as well so make sure to try them out (:

Grate place for family.

Food was outstanding not. The service was outstanding from the start we did not have to wait food was delivered hot and quickly our appetizer was on time and delivered before the main meal . I definitely recommend this place go early in the morning around 10 am or 11 am . Order the dishes that are seen in my pictures you won't regret it.

Pan de Bono

I've been a customer at macita's for years and lately its been a little hit or miss. Whenever I'm craving authentic Colombian, I pop in and tonight my takeout experience was really great. The food was homey, satisfying and the portions are very filling. But the real stars are the Empanadas and Pan de Bono. The empanadas are perfectly golden and crisp on the outside and the filling is just delicious . They come with the BEST spicy side( picante) and this may be my favorite part. I could honestly drink the stuff on its own. The Pan de Bono are a classic and I could seriously eat 4 of these in one sitting. This place is a familiar favorite and really hits the spot on a good night.

Calentado

Masitas I was really counting on you and your calentado to help me with my hangover and you let me down. I have not been here for a while. And there seems that there have been changes and not for the better. I ordered the calentado with chorizo and fried eggs and a cafe con leche. Their cafe con leche used to be the best I had ever had...used to be. We were brought a mug full of milk with the coffee on the side. There was not enough room to add the coffee and it ended up being weak when you were finally able to add some coffee. The rice and beans were mushy...super mushy and the fried eggs were fried hard. Need to find another hangover go to place.

It was my first time visiting, and I'm so glad I did because it felt like I was reconnecting with my Colombian heritage! The staff took a little long to attend to us but quickly apologized by giving us empanadas - these are to die for! The food was delicious the bandeja came with a lot of food! The place gets really busy so plan accordingly

We went for lunch so didn't get to experience the show and party that usually happens on Friday and Saturday nights. Will definitely come back for it because it sounds like a great time! We had the baby churrasco, bandeja pueblito, whole fried snapper and the sancocho de costilla de res. Everything was tasty and large portions. Can't wait to go back to experience a Colombian party!

You walk in and it's just brimming with stuff ALL over the place. It's like a fever dream, but in a good way. Since we walked in it was packed and there was music which definitely set the vibe. Was a little hard to talk, but it made you want to dance the whole away through. The food is priced great and delicious. It took a little while, but completely understandable and the wait time was convenient for how packed the place was. The only reason I'm giving a four instead of a five was the service was a LITTLE slow. I understand again they were doing as good a job as possible for how packed the place was, but I had asked for water when our server took our order and I didn't get water till every single person at our table had to reask for water and I finally got some post meal. Our server was really nice, but again, took a while to get water, but we got another round of sangria and received those before the water. The place was bumping and people were dancing and having a good time. I would MAYBE check this place out again on a slower day. I hear they have mariachi!

They boast both indoor and outdoor seating with the same aesthetic and nods to Colombian culture, like the cute hats and sandals hanging on the wall. We were seated inside fairly quickly on the Sunday afternoon we came in. They were pretty busy, but the waiters were kind of hanging out at the bar, just chit-chatting. We were able to get one of the servers to look at us after a couple of minutes of sitting there. They brought us a little palate-opener of a small portion of a simple soup. They had a margarita special we tried, $5 frozen margaritas. The maracuya (passion fruit) one was a solid choice. I also ordered the mojarra frita with white rice, tostones, and salad. The rice was really undercooked. The waiter tried to appease us by bringing us more of the same uncooked rice. We were not the only table to say something about it because our neighbors confirmed they too received the same and were also unhappy. Other than that, the rest of my meal was great. However, I will say my mom was very upset with her experience and expressed that her chicken wasn't prepared well either.

The fresh maracuya juice was amazingly delicious! Large portions here and my fish meal was great. Leftovers were more great. I suppose it's hard to season & moisten a fish that large but ultimately I was glad it wasn't too salty. Go, enjoy!

We came in on a Monday around 6pm and ordered off the happy hour menu. The brussel sprouts were out of this world good! The sauce they put on it is sweet and lightly spicy, and the little bits of bacon were a happy, salty surprise. The beef and chicken empanadas were also delicious. The chicken had tons of cheese, but the beef was my favorite, it was so flavorful! We ordered the pistachio cake with white chocolate ice cream, and raspberry sauce. It was so refreshing and a perfect pairing of flavors. I wish there was a little more cake, but I'm not complaining. I will absolutely be back. And next time, I gotta try their cocktails.
