Cold Comfort was our 3rd company to provide an estimate and to come out to assess my unit, etc. The owner, Gabriel was the reason we made this company our choice. He was down to earth, honest and provided solid reasons why they choose the products they use. Our unit was over 25 years old, had served us well and I was unfamiliar with some of the other brands being offered now. We were a "Carrier" family. They were immediate in responding with a same day appointment for the service call and we were scheduled for installation withon the same week On the day of installation, his amazing team arrived right in time w/ cheer and professionalism. They explained what they were doing and how, lines my floors with cloths and covered their shoes to avoid a major mess, they were efficient and communicated with us throughout the removal and installation process. They cleaned up after themselves leaving us with very little to do other than dust. They showed us how everything worked, how to troubleshoot if need be and how to communicate if there were questions or issues. In total, Cold Comfort replaced the entire HVAC system, our humidifier, thermostat and then several days later, our water heater! Whew!!! We have been extremely pleased with everything so far and are grateful we found such a wonderful company to work with before winter! We highly recommend Cold Comfort HVAV services! Jary (who helped us when we first moved in) came out on Tuesday and said we had a leak somewhere since the closed-system unit was totally out of coolant. He came back Weds. to do the leak detection and found the leak, recommended a new coil. We had the new coil installed on Friday; this time it was Ricardo and team that did the work installing the coil. They did a great job and a couple hours later our house was back to normal temperature. Gabriel helped us with all the coordination and estimates and seeing if the part was still under warranty (it wasn't, but I didn't expect it would be honestly.) No one likes spending a bunch of money on repairs but I'm very confident that the recommendations Jary made were sound and correct. He did not attempt to upsell me at all, which is greatly appreciated. (The estimates Gabriel sent did include options for replacing the unit, but that wasn't necessary at this time and there was no pressure to do so.) I will continue to call them if we have issues in future with our HVAC system.

To my surprise, my phone started ringing within 1 minute and sure enough it was Vic reaching out letting me know that he had received my message and that he could be there in roughly 1 hour. Although I've learned that I can call just before my appointment and get a more realistic one. The AI customer service bot is trying my nerves, though. It does seem to work, but really, how un-personal can you be? It would be one thing if it told you upfront, "hi, my name is Ally and I'm your AI customer service". At least you'd know what you were dealing with. When humans are involved, everything is top notch. If it weren't for the 8-hour window and AI bot, I'd give it 5 stars.

Joel Hernandez finally arrived at 3:45Pm. He was very polite and pleasant and I really liked the job he did. He was thorough and explained everything to me. My problem is not with Joel but with GAC. The 8 hour window is ridiculous, inconvenient, and frustrating. I have been a customer since 2013. Bring back the 4 hour window so I am not restricted to be within 30 minutes from my house if I want to do some errands. Otherwise I have to look elsewhere for my HVAC and electrical needs.

As a frustrated owner of an older home, I have been experiencing the crazy, crazy cost of high energy bills from an older out of date HVAC system. My first thought was to buy a system that was larger with multiple speeds offering the highest SEER rating in hopes of bringing those bills down to normal. To make a long story short, I ordered the wrong system and ended up having to buy a second system that actually fit my space and current construct. AG came in, gave recommendations and replaced that old system with the new system as requested. AG went above and beyond to ensure that I was up and running as soon as possible.
