We first used them for an issue with our AC because they are 5 minutes from our house. The tech was pretty straight-forward about diagnosing and repairing the broken motor. The only weird thing was the dude went around our house when we weren't looking putting their A Action stickers on several of our appliances, as if they were the ones that installed all of them. I had to go peel all of the ugly stickers off of things like our washing and drying machines and plumbing fixtures. The first experience was fine, so when the AC was on the fritz a year later we called them again for a repair. The tech comes out and says the motor capacitor is broken. He quotes us $500 to replace it with a "high-performance" capacitor. Then when the work is done, bills us for $900. "Well, the $500 was just for the parts. The final bill includes diagnosis and labor." For a 45-minute visit. I checked online after and we could have had the same generic part delivered to our house 3 days later from a local supplier for $55. I get that there is a premium for having the part on the truck to fix it right then and there, but a 1,000% markup for a stock part that I can replace myself is over the top. We called them again for an estimate on a new plumbing installation. We get told estimates are free. The tech shows up and looks over the work that needs done. Then he says we owe him $100 before he leaves. "I thought the estimate was free?" "It's for the diagnosis, not the estimate." Then they never even got back to us with a quote for the project. We'll look elsewhere from now on. We've worked with other licensed techs in this area for less money that are just as professional and responsive and don't change prices on you after the fact.

With just a few key questions he sent a no-pressure quote over to me within the hour. I called to discuss my options and Peter spent 30 minutes with me patiently answering every question I had about different models, features and applications. I haven't experienced genuine customer service and care like this in years and I'm not even a customer. I am highly considering leaving my current HVAC provider just from a single interaction with Zagros. I highly recommend Zagros.

They came promptly at the beginning of the time windows specified and were very professional in their manner of work, keeping the areas as clean as possible. The woman who answered my call spent a good 30 minutes talking me through potential issues but helped explain that there's probably no issues with the AC since our condo is so new and that the record temps are likely causing the issue- everyone's AC is working over time. She could have easily just had me book a check up appointment to get some cash, but she was honest and spent her time (for free!!) talking me through possible scenarios. I was never told by letter or email, and that was never ever shared with me. In case you didn't know what a lien was: "A legal right to possess another's property until a debt is repaid or an obligation is met." So in other words, the bank thought that someone co-owned my property. Now why would this be required for such a small loan that is in good standing (paying on-time monthly)? I had a larger loan with another company for my windows/doors yet they DID NOT feel the need to place a lien on my property. This place is untrustworthy, and sneaky, and I WILL NOT be doing business with them again. I do not recommend them as a company. I suggest you seek other options or at the very minimum demand another Financing Company.

He explained to me that the part needed was at least 20 years old. George worked his magic and was able to find the part. He ordered the part and returned the next morning.
