I want to express my extreme frustration regarding the handling of my service appointment. My AC system broke down this past Wednesday, and I was scheduled for a repair today, Friday, July 3rd, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. I received a text message confirming this appointment and have been waiting despite the unbearable heat in my home, where I am also caring for a senior. When I called yesterday to see if an earlier slot was available, I was told I had to stick to my original Friday appointment. However, when I called today to confirm the arrival time, I was informed that my appointment had been moved to Monday, July 6th, without any prior notice or acknowledgment. I have proof of the original confirmation for today's appointment, and I find it completely unacceptable that the appointment was changed without any notice or my consent. This lack of communication and failure to honor scheduled appointments is unprofessional and misleading. I expressed that I expect my original appointment to be honored today as previously confirmed, but I was told no one would arrive because I'm scheduled for Monday July 6th. This is a horrible business, highly unprofessional, and they are providing the most horrible customer experience someone can have. read more

We have had our heat cut off inexplicably 3 times in 3 months. The first 2 times we called the same company who couldn't diagnose the issue and essentially took our money and left us in the same position we were in when they arrived. Sunday morning, same thing happened again. Eagles HVAC was assigned to us through our home warranty. Even though they were closed, they called and confirmed they received the work order and said they'd be out first thing in the morning. And they were. And solved the problem. I'm nothing short of impressed of the customer service, we signed a maintenance agreement with them because of it. It's the little things that make a big difference. The technician that came out to service our A/C unit was great. Was able to very quickly resolve my issue and took care of it within minutes. He was kind, courteous and explained everything. He told me about the issue, how it was affecting us and answered all of my questions. Just all around great experience. This is the type of company you want to work with. Very respectful of your property and helpful. He even showed up early! Not sure that I've ever had a technician show up on time, let alone early. Just an all around great experience. TLDR: Fast but expensive. My total bill was ~$565, for an hour and a half of labor, 2 lbs of r22 freon, and a small amount of sealant. I found his exact canister of r22 freon online costing $425 for 30 lbs (~$14 / lb). That means I was charged $500+ in labor for what took an hour and a half. That's quite a lot. I called, and George was near my location doing an install, and he was at my house a few hours later. He charged me an initial fee of $99 to diagnose the issue, and it took him ~20 minutes to diagnose that I was low on freon. He spent ~30 minutes walking me through the different options, which I appreciated. This was different from someone who I had come out a year ago, who only gave me the option of replacing the entire system: 1. Try to find the leak - quoted me a price ~$350+ with no guarantee he would actually find the leak. This would not include the cost of actually fixing the leak. 2. Refill the AC with Freon. Quoted me a price of ~$135 / per lb of freon needed, and he couldn't tell me how much freon I needed. He'd just have to start adding it until it was full. Optionally I could also have him add a sealant, that might stop the leak for $200. 3. Replace my entire system except my furnace. He quoted me something ~$5000. My system is an older R22 freon system, which parts won't be available I ultimately chose option 2 with the sealant. While he was doing the refill, I looked up the cost, and it became very apparent just how much I was paying for his time. Part of the problem is, there is no regulation at all around the pricing. None of the HVAC repair companies have prices listed online for common things. I another hvac repair company and got a quote, and they would have charged me even more. I have no idea if his pricing was competitive, or a rip off. All I know is that it was expensive. read more

George was referred to me as a husband of my wife's co-worker. So I thought he must be ok as someone we know of. So I decided to give him a try. I signed an annual contract to maintain our 2 average size units. After he came out and serviced our systems, it ended up to be $1,000. The services were for the annual contract, basic cleaning, dusting, and draining the pipes. At the time, I thought maybe our systems are a few years old. So maybe the price is normal. I sucked it up and think he's ok. Then 2 months later, one of units stopped working. I called him for a service. He came out and diagnosed the unit. Within a few minutes, he told me the problem was due a blown fuse. He then spent another 1/2 hour to an hour to run back and forth between the attic (upstair unit) and the outside unit, cleaned the battery, did some unnecessary work, and even showed me a piece of exposed wire he picked up somewhere. He even untied the wires (which are working fine) and tied them back and pretended he performed some major work. The whole time I was there with him, I knew he was BSing me. I felt really ripped off. Here are how much he charged me for a blown fuse: Diagnosis: $150 Fuse: $25 Minor Electrical repair: $95 (really?) Additional 30mins charge: $60 Total: $330 Do you know how much it costs for me to buy a fuse at home depot? $10 You can draw a conclusion yourself from the above and see if he's justified. He treats me like I am an idiot who does not know anything. He's BSing me and charging me for unnecessary work. Or he treats me like I am an old grandma (which I am not), who does not know anything, and I am just there to sign a check. Not an honest person. Totally not recommended. read more

George is a highly professional and kind person. He came to fix an accidentally clipped wire to our HVAC system on a busy Saturday. He knew exactly what to do, completed the job quickly yet thoroughly, and even showed me evidence that the original installers had taken some shortcuts that would eventually shorten the life of the unit. He changed the blown fuse (as a result of the clipped wire), corrected the shortcuts, and made sure the unit was operating again.
