Three years ago, New Way Home Decor installed a shade to draw down when the children are sleeping. Within the first month the shade came crashing down. New way home decor reinstalled the shade claiming the ladies are pulling on the shade. Nine months later the shade came crashing down again. Again, New Way home decor claimed the ladies were too rough with the shade. After that incident we no longer trusted the shade and blocked the children from going near the area. Thirteen months later the shade came crashing down again. When the installer came to reinstall the shade again, he stated the shade was cut too short and needed to reach from corner to corner in order to securely install two corner brackets. Previous installations had a corner bracket and a single bracket that was1 ¾ "shy of making it to the corner. We called the owner and informed her of the situation. She stated, "you know this was three years ago. We told her the shade had come down endangering the children three times and the installer said it was cut too short. We paid over $800 for this shade. The owner told me he could both provide and program a replacement. He explained that I could choose an aftermarket key, which might cause a dashboard warning light that should go away, or I could choose an OEM key that he would source from the dealership, which would cost more but would not cause any issues. Wanting to avoid any headaches, I chose the OEM option. Unfortunately, that was not the case. When the key arrived, I scheduled an appointment to have it programmed. At first, everything seemed fine--the remote started the car and unlocked the doors without issue. However, once I drove away, a red key warning light appeared on the dashboard along with a "keyless entry malfunction" message. I immediately contacted the business and was told to give it two weeks and that the issue would resolve itself. Two weeks later, the light was still on. I returned to the shop, and the owner instructed me to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and reconnect it. I did this and waited another two weeks, but the problem persisted. When I returned again, I was told the issue might be the remote batteries and that I needed to replace them and reintroduce each key--both the original and the newly programmed one--one at a time after disconnecting the battery again. I followed those instructions and spent additional money on new batteries. At this point, nearly two months had passed. Now BOTH remotes(my original and their replacement) function intermittently. If the car does not unlock, I have to manually open the door with the cut key, disconnect and reconnect the battery, and then start the vehicle. I returned to the business and simply asked for a refund for the labor so I could take the key to the dealership and have it programmed correctly. Instead, they refused and I was berated. The interaction was especially upsetting because my toddler was with me at the time. I feel like I got scammed here. I paid for parts and labor, and now I have to go to the dealership to fix the issue they created. Everything ran fine till he started "programming" his remote. I hope others have better luck. UPDATE: 12/23 went to the dealer and fixed the issue. I ended up getting a new remote and a reprogram of all the keys including the original vehicle key(when I purchased the vehicle). I attached a printout from the dealer stating "incorrect component installed" as per their system which was what this business installed and gave me all the issues. So the premium I paid for the "OEM dealer factory" remote/key at the store was not actually all OEM. What a joke. Huge relief the dealer fixed their mess and the remotes work. Should have went to the dealer from the beginning, I would have saved money, a headache and the embarrassment.

Many times he has a "I'll be back soon" sign on the door. This time he was open and he had the things I asked for. That was a good start. He charged me $24.00 for the door knobs which I thought was a little pricey but I didn't feel like making a trip to home depot or shop on Amazon. Their prices range from $8.00 to $18.00. Because of a huge "NO RETURN" sign, I asked if I wanted to return anything if it would be a problem. Not at all he said. The bill for everything was $62.00. I gave him $65.00 cash and he said thanks. I said, where is my change. He said Taxes. I was going to ask for my cash back to give him a credit card but it was too much BS involved. This guy is nuts, I was thinking. Here is where it gets interesting. The next day I go back to change one of the faceplates and to return the door knobs. I polished my old solid brass doorknobs and they looked great. I take care of the exchange of the face plates first because, after the "no change thing"the day before and his whole attitude , I could just feel a problem coming on with the return of the door knobs. After I exchange the faceplate, I hand him he doorknobs and tell him I wanted to return them. He points to a sign that said "NO RETURNS". I reminded him that he told me there would not be a problem with returns. He hands me $6.00. I said what is that? I got no answer. He pulls out another few dollars and tries to hand it to me. I reminded him that he charged me $24.00 for the doorknobs. He said "no, $24.00 are for a different type of doorknob. I said, No "the doorknobs I have in my hand are the doorknobs you charged me $24.00 for. He started to grumble. I told him to give me the $24.00 or call 911 because he would need them to come to his store, and soon. I had smoke coming out of my nose like a bull scraping his front feet getting ready to charge. He reluctantly gave me my $24.00. I would have asked him if he cared about repeat customers but he already gave me his answer. Who in their right mind treats a customer that way. He also had a few real nasty and vulgar comments while I was walking away. I would like to tell everyone what I really think of this poor excuse of a human being, but my review probably wouldn't go through and I need to warn everyone of this nightmare of a store and an owner waiting for his next victim. THIS IS NOT A BAD BUSINESS, IT IS A TRAP. BEWARE!
