At first the price was nominal, but as the years progressed they grew to above market rate. The service was sometimes ok, but sometimes not so good. He continually changed workers and the quality showed for at times they would break the glass they were replacing!! One particular time he brought with him this young kid (who looked like he just got out of rehab) who CRACKED a window frame in 2 places while replacing a coil. No apologies, no discount on the charges, no removal of the charge. Mike simply came back with some Gorilla glue! I should of learned my lesson then. Last Spring he came to replace a glass and, again, broke the replacement glass. Keep in mind I have to fight with another window company to get the glass. He kept me with this broken glass for almost a year. He gave me a bill which I questioned for I thought he charged me to replace the glass he broke. So when I asked for a lower bill that's when Mike went off on me. I received multiple calls and texts stating how dare I ask for a lower bill. So, ok, I sent him a check for the $150. Not even a week went by when he harassed me over 2 days for the money. I had already sent the check. I shared with him that his behavior was out of line and disrespectful, he again went off on me on how I was wrong and he was right. I asked for a simple apology and he responded: "lol". So my warning is Mike has no respect for "the customer is always right". If you piss him off he will come at you guns blazing.

In May '21, we were quoted a little over $11K to replace our door, and paid a 50% deposit. 3+ months later we received drawings and approved them. Several more months go by; no update, despite reaching out several times. When we did get through, an impolite administrator shouted at my wife over the phone that we weren't the only customers that were experiencing delays. He then apologized and said he yelled because he was Dominican (!?). In January, we're given our first real update: an email with a few pictures of our door in a workshop. Fast forward 4 months. After reaching out for more updates, we finally get through to their manager who says, "I'm in Argentina now, organizing the custom orders for the shipment load. We have everything ready waiting for the shipment company to give us the date... before [the] pandemic there was 4 shipment[s] by month, now [there] is only one and when the shipping company want... so we are waiting." July '22, we get an email telling us the door is in NJ and someone will now "take measurements and do the 'pre-installation' before the finish." They come to our house to take measurements on two different occasions. We select and pay for hardware (not included) and reach out for an update, to which they say: "Below I have attached your INVOICE, reflecting a PAID balance (keep this for your records.) The next steps in your project are: 1. I need your availability for this week and next week. I have to send staff members to the project location to fit the door and see what adjustments have to be made. 2. Once we have completed this step, we will proceed to confirm a delivery date. Once I receive your availability, we will be able to move forward." The invoice says we have a balance of over $12K...but we've already paid $5500, so this new invoice suggests that the cost is $17K+. Upon comparison of the two invoices and reaching out to understand the discrepancy, we're told that it reflects: 1. installation (which was not in our quote as it is 'available upon request', yet without our approval is supposedly underway since the tech came by to do a 'pre-installation') 2. marked up prices for things that were on the original invoice paid back in May '21, because of "2022 prices" - which given it was committed to and built in '21, we find suspect. In their fine print it says installation is upon request, which we understand. However, 'pre-installation' was presented as a necessary step, and no price was mentioned. When we learned the install would be $4K+, we said we would pick up the door and have it installed by someone else (for a small fraction of the price). They said they would still charge us $2K for "pre-installation" which we were never told about or given the chance to approve. After a LOT of back and forth, they finally agreed that they did not explain the 'pre-installation' fee. They offered a discounted price to complete the install, which we agreed to because they said our warranty would be voided if we used another provider. Upon install in December, the door had chipped paint which they said they would come back and fix. The next day, it rained. Water that would normally slide right off a door without a trace left strange white splotches all over the door and could not easily come off. It looked like the door was not properly sealed. When we reached out, their response was to say to clean the door with Pledge (an indoor dusting product). We were very confused by this, and replied to ask if they could fix how the door was sealed, as we can't imagine cleaning our custom door with Pledge every time it rains. Moral of the story: Avoid Amighini at all costs! We are incredibly disappointed with our door, the customer experience overall, and with the 1.5 year process we have had to endure.

I've worked with a lot of contractors in the last few years but these guys are by far the best. They arrived on time, job was done very professionally and Billy went above and beyond to get everything working and explain everything to me. The craftmanship that put into the work was extremely well done and was treated like it was their own personal home. We had our fireplace completely remodeled and had electrical done so we could mount our TV. I could not be any happier with how it turned out. Billy was great with his suggestions on what we should do and I am so glad we listened! We plan on using Five Star Finish for our future home remodels. I have to speak on all the 1-star reviews due to the $100 deposit for an in-home evaluation. It was worth EVERY PENNY of the $100 and they deduct it from the services once you use them. If you want the best work done, then you need to put in the little money that you eventually get back.

Joe is amazing to work with. He repaired one of my windows and just reinstalled and installed new windows in our daughter's home. He took his time explaining everything. His team comes in with shoe covering, tapes down paper everywhere. Vacuums, cleans and removes any debirs. We needed new carpentry around the interior windows and their carpentry was superb. They washed all the windows, installed screens, new casements, matched what was already there. I highly recommend this family business if you want very personal attention to detail and someone very easy to work with.

The manufacturing process may take a little longer than the large companies, but that is because they make the windows themselves in their shop. This has the added benefit of making them experts at window construction, so they can walk you through and recommend options. They also don't upsell - for example, they recommended thicker glass on the bedroom windows, but thinner glass on the larger living room windows to save. Lastly, they are very familiar with landmarks and can handle that process well. We have now used them for two brownstones and would recommend wholeheartedly

I initially contacted this business to ask if they sold and programmed car keys, as I had lost one…read moreof my original keys over the years. The owner told me he could both provide and program a replacement. He explained that I could choose an aftermarket key, which might cause a dashboard warning light that should go away, or I could choose an OEM key that he would source from the dealership, which would cost more but would not cause any issues. Wanting to avoid any headaches, I chose the OEM option. Unfortunately, that was not the case. When the key arrived, I scheduled an appointment to have it programmed. At first, everything seemed fine--the remote started the car and unlocked the doors without issue. However, once I drove away, a red key warning light appeared on the dashboard along with a "keyless entry malfunction" message. I immediately contacted the business and was told to give it two weeks and that the issue would resolve itself. Two weeks later, the light was still on. I returned to the shop, and the owner instructed me to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and reconnect it. I did this and waited another two weeks, but the problem persisted. When I returned again, I was told the issue might be the remote batteries and that I needed to replace them and reintroduce each key--both the original and the newly programmed one--one at a time after disconnecting the battery again. I followed those instructions and spent additional money on new batteries. At this point, nearly two months had passed. Now BOTH remotes(my original and their replacement) function intermittently. If the car does not unlock, I have to manually open the door with the cut key, disconnect and reconnect the battery, and then start the vehicle. I returned to the business and simply asked for a refund for the labor so I could take the key to the dealership and have it programmed correctly. Instead, they refused and I was berated. The interaction was especially upsetting because my toddler was with me at the time. I feel like I got scammed here. I paid for parts and labor, and now I have to go to the dealership to fix the issue they created. Everything ran fine till he started "programming" his remote. I hope others have better luck. UPDATE: 12/23 went to the dealer and fixed the issue. I ended up getting a new remote and a reprogram of all the keys including the original vehicle key(when I purchased the vehicle). I attached a printout from the dealer stating "incorrect component installed" as per their system which was what this business installed and gave me all the issues. So the premium I paid for the "OEM dealer factory" remote/key at the store was not actually all OEM. What a joke. Huge relief the dealer fixed their mess and the remotes work. Should have went to the dealer from the beginning, I would have saved money, a headache and the embarrassment.
