I don't get the three star average this place has. The Cobb salad at $12 the best Cobb salad I've had in recent memory at nearly half the price it would be at CPK or many other places. The pizza was pretty good. On a scale of 1 to 10 it was an 8. Total bill for both dishes was $40 and we took half the pizza home with us. Took a while to get seared but once we were at a table everything went smoothly. I'd definitely return. read more

We had an excellent experience at MacKenzie River Pizza. Both our kids have dairy allergies, (1 is celiac & 1 has a gluten allergy)... our server (Maddie) was absolutely excellent! She was friendly, professional, attentive & took extra precautions (checking ingredients & speaking with the kitchen) to be sure our girls were safe! She gets 10 stars from us! Our kids LOVED their dinner & did not have any reactions! My husband, his sister & I (none of which have food allergies or limitations) all also thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! I don't understand the negative reviews. We had a beet salad and a small MacKenzie River Pizza. The salad could have had a few more beets. The arugula was a nice touch. Our server, Johnny, recommended we have the original crust as opposed to the thin crust. He was right. It was excellent. Appreciate the use of fresh vegetables. Johnny was helpful and friendly. He pointed out things we could do in Whitefish. For me the music was a little loud, but so be it. I liked the decor. If you are in Whitefish, looking for pizza, this is the place! read more

We did an online pickup order for our last night of a week-long ski trip. We arrived to pick up our 3 pizzas when we were told and they hadn't even been started yet. The place was really busy in the kitchen, not so much in the dining room. We had to wait almost 30 minutes past the scheduled pick up time as did the 3 people ahead of us. Came in with our group of 18...took longer than expected to get seated considering there were open booths but it's fine...the pizza made up for it!! Service was really good too! Came here during vacation, was really good. If you're in the Whitefish area and want some good pizza, this is the place to go. Their cheese sticks were delicious as well. Mackenzie is always a solid choice for pizza. Might not be the best around, but still great pizza. We went here with a large party and they took great care of us. It was clear they were a little overwhelmed, but handled it well. We got a few different pies and they were all fresh and tasty. Worth a visit for sure. **Update 3/22/23: As you can see from managements' tone deaf response there is still no accountability. MRP- all orders were placed through the restaurant's website, every time. (See photo). If Whitefish cannot guarantee timely DELIVERY, they shouldn't offer it. But thank you for showing the true apathy of this company and your sentiment that once again, this is the customers' problem and not your staffs' ongoing ineptitude. You did my job for me.** We've given this restaurant endless opportunities to make things right with our family, but at the end of the day the Whitefish location continues to provide poor quality food and can never get our orders right. We don't understand how difficult it is to follow directions provided from their own website. We place our orders with RANCH every time, and they send marinara. We've actually picked up the phone after placing an online order and said, please ensure it's ranch. Marinara still arrives. Not sure if it's incompetence or plain spite. The food is incredibly inconsistent. You never get the same quality. The food is either over cooked, missing ingredients, has no flavor, or something tastes off. The off orders are usually associated with significant GI issues the next day. The biggest issue with this location however is the delivery service. They push the orders out to Door Dash, but only AFTER the order is done cooking and ready to be picked up. If that order gets pushed to a driver in Kalispell, you're waiting an additional 25-30 minutes for food that is now sitting in a warming oven. Quality goes way down, food becomes stale and inedible, and is cold by the time it's delivered. We have had endless conversations with management about how to better manage Door Dash - like using COMMON SENSE and pushing the pick up to the driver before the food is done cooking, wrapped up and sitting in a warming over for 20 minutes. Instead they blame Door Dash for sending drivers from Kalispell. Door Dash blames the restaurant for not managing their systems better. These are grown adults running businesses. The customers lose - and now we are warning anyone reading this because neither are taking it seriously since we've brought it to their attention last September. You could either receive horrible food quality, food poisoning, and/or a cold order 20-30 minutes later than the original window due to Door Dash. We decided to report this to Flathead County health department. It's unfortunate but there needs to be accountability here because it's lost on both parties. Proceed with caution. read more

Our family group recently dined here and the food was good but we wee not impressed with the service. First we waited about one hour to be seated. We were told they were short handed though we saw 3 servers and 4 people working in the kitchen and the restaurant was not close to being full. Kristen was our server and she kept apologizing for being short staffed. We were patient but she made many errors such as forgetting to bring certain items such as dressing and drinks. We visited the Kalispell location (pub) and I have to say the service was so much better even when they were busy. The location downtown gives the place a major opportunity, and sadly it might be one that is missed. ...... side note, at arrival the hostess had to ask the server if it was OK to seat a table for 2.. take into account that there was 5 open tables and all other restaurants had a line. Food: We had pizzas, salads, and a pasta dish among four people. The food was pretty good. I had a pepperoni pizza that was above average. We live in the Coeur D'Alene area and have a MacKenzie River Pizza near us. Ours is much larger with a bigger menu than the one in Whitefish. Service: Poor to Horrible. Waitress greeted us at the podium and immediately started complaining that she was overworked and it would take awhile to seat our party of four. Apparently every other server scheduled that night called in sick or no showed. I have no idea whether this is a usual or unusual occurrence with this restaurant. Every time the waitress passed by a table she would make a comment about how hard she was working and it was getting kind of tiring. One man walked out after being seated as no one came to take his order. If there was an owner or manager there I never saw them. read more

What can I say about MacKenzie River? What an amazing and random find on Yelp. Even after reading the reviews my colleague and I decided to go and found it to be nothing short of great. We got there a little after 2pm, so after the lunch crowd and found the restaurant pretty much empty. The waitress greeted us and sat us down and then we were greeted by one of the managers who just made us feel at home. It was a super relaxing atmosphere and we just took our time with the menu and deciding on what we wanted for lunch. We both went with their $10 lunch special. We both got their spinach salad with a mix of their vinaigrette and ranch based dressing. Everything was so delicious! The spinach was super fresh and both dressing were just amazing! They actually sell both of them and I see why! I ordered their small Pepperoni pizza as my entree. I got the thin crust, which was just so good and again fresh! The price was just right and I got to take home tons of leftovers! Definitely would recommend this spot for a relaxing atmosphere with delicious food! read more

Just finished my food- we ordered on line and picked food up. I had General Tso bowl served over jasmine rice. The rice was instant and not fully cooked. Granted, it may not be a popular item and my argument is it is ON THE MENU. Even if I'm first person to order this dish in forever, it is on your menu so make it right. I love MacKenzie River Pizza Co., because it's locally founded. The food is good and I really like the Baked Ziti is my favorite to go to dish. The service could be better with communication among staff waited for about 15 minutes after being seated, due to the hostess not informing the waitress. There new payment method, isn't that great, but that's my own personal perspective. I did like the kiosk that they used to have on the table better, but I guess the times have changed. The floors under the tables were filthy and disgusting looking. I almost walked out before the waitress came over. It seemed that there was some serious laziness going on among some staff members. Overall the Baked Ziti wasn't a disappointment and I definitely won't be back to this location again after yesterday. read more

Pretty decent Pizza. I have to give this place something better than three-stars, because my wife and I are repeat customers, so obviously, MacKenzie River Pizza Co. is doing something right. We have vacationed in Whitefish twice now in the past year, and both times, when we just wanted to hang out in our hotel room and chill for the evening, MacKenzie River provided the take-out pizza nourishment we needed to make our "stay-in" evening plans come true. Last night, we got a thin-crust "Sequoia" pizza with chicken, and a large Ceasar salad. This signature pizza has fresh pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, toasted pine nuts and mozzarella. Adding the chicken gives it some protein. They really do the thin-crust good, as it is almost crispy, which I love. The salad is pretty typical, but a welcome thing to eat after vacation dieting and eating travel food for several days. So if you find yourself in Whitefish and are wanting some pizza, I'd recommend MacKenzie River. read more

If you want great pizza deff go here. Just don't except good service. We came in tonight for dinner. We were sat quickly, however, when we sat in the booth there was glass all over the left side of the booth. Our three year old grabbed it thinking it was "sparkles" to show us and ended up cutting her nose and started bleeding all over. We weren't upset she picked up glass, she didn't know and it wasn't the servers fault she picked it up. We were more surprised the server never said sorry, didn't call a manager over or ask if he could do anything. We had to ask for a bandage and he grabbed one then without a word took our order. Our food was great but we had to get our own utensils while 5 hostess and servers sat at the booth right by ours and watched me as a waited then finally grabbed our own forks. Our server never came by and asked how our food was, if we wanted something else or if we needed boxes. We had to ask for a box, more beer and the check. This location had really gotten our hopes up. My girlfriend and I really like the Kalispell location and so we decided to try the Whitefish location since we live closest to it. When we walk in, we notice it's not busy whatsoever so we thought we were going to get good, fast service. When we were seated, it took our server about 15 minutes to even come up to us and take our order (From our perspective, it looked like she was only serving two other tables. Like I said, it wasn't busy at all). I ordered a Coors Light draft and when I had gotten it, it looked almost carbonated and tasted very very watered down. So I settled for a bottle of Corona instead. And I ordered a small pizza with ground beef. We then had to wait about 45 more minutes until we had received our food and my pizza was lukewarm/almost cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. Overall, we definitely weren't too pleased with our experience. If you can, make the drive to Kalispell. It will be much more worth it. read more
