Perfect local restaurant! There are so many reasons they won all the awards they did! I was most impressed by the customer service though. Joyce took care of everything, was kind to our son, gave us fries to have at our table when our food took a little longer than expected due to us getting there after a few large parties and it was so busy, and she was just all around an outstanding waitress. She even remembered we had asked for ranch for or fries when we ordered at the very beginning and when she brought us just a side of fries to munch on she remembered the ranch! Was in high country for the Labor Day weekend with my two small dogs, so I thought we'd try this place (very dog-friendly patio). I had the cowboy melt and upgraded to sweet potato fries. Absolutely wonderful, plus it was two meals for me (big portion size). In addition, my dogs made new friends (the wait staff and other dogs) and behaved all through dinner. I don't understand how this amazing place is not a five star! These ladies are so nice and sweet! The cooks make a mean burger and the homemade chili is bomb. We stopped in to Macky's for dinner on our way up to our cabin in Heber. We have probably driven by it 100 times and didn't notice it. Very disappointed in my salad today. I added shrimp for $4 and if there was one chopped up shrimp I'd be surprised. More diced carrots and lettuce than anything else. My friends loved their lunches. Here in Payson Az & stopped for lunch- based on reviews. My husband saw them putting a chili burger on someone's table so he didn't even check the menu! I ordered the Philly steak sandwich. We both were very happy with our choices. The restaurant is very pleasant & western decor. It was busy( it was Sunday). We were seated immediately & the waitress was there for drink offers quickly. This restaurant is perfect for a weekend lunch in Payson. We were looking for somewhere dog-friendly, and decided to give Macky's a try... good decision! There were at least 3 other groups with dogs so this is definitely the place to go with your pup. The service was great and the food was fresh and filling. The variety of options, consistent excellent service and quaint, small town atmosphere is unlike anywhere else. We love their dog friendly patio and they have the best chicken wings in the state (sorry Buffalo Wild Wings). This place was an OK place at best. To begin with they weren't very busy and yet it seemed to take them a while to get us our drinks or to take our order for that matter. The waiters seem to be bothered by the fact that we needed their services. The food was OK, my wife ordered a salad which quite frankly didn't taste very good.
