Absolutely love this little gem of a coffee shop! This was our first time here but we will certainly be back. The food was delicious. Fresh and very flavorful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The place was very busy and we had our baby with us and they set up a little side table so we could still eat inside. I also ordered a matcha latte and I didn't like the taste at all and they were so sweet and made me a different flavor. I'm not saying the matcha latte was bad, I have never had it before and I just don't think the flavor is for me. The chai latte I ordered after was absolutely perfect. Welcome to the neighborhood, Macondo! I've been a huge fan of this business ever since they opened their first location in Doral. Kendall now has a second coffee shop for all its people to enjoy, and I'm so glad it's them! Macondo Coffee has excellent coffee. They roast their own beans locally, which makes a coffee fiend like myself happy as a clam. I'm always looking for local roasters to buy my beans from, and these make a great addition to my collection. Their food menu is extensive. They've got smoothies, bowls, breakfast, lunch, pastries, you name it...it's all made with love and you can taste it! So far I've had their oatmilk latte, egg and cheese sandwich, and avocado toast (the pickled onions are such a delicious touch!). Staff is super friendly and ready to help. The ambiance is incredible with rustic decorations throughout, it makes you feel like you've traveled straight to Colombia. The staff is beyond friendly and the coffee is phenomenal. The sandwiches are great - they have unique combinations- and the coffee even better. The service was also great. It's the type of place where you order at the register, they give you a number to place at your table, then they bring you your items. Once I asked them for a sandwich that was not on the menu and they did not hesitate. Loved it. While this place is not super expensive, it's not cheap. Incredibly disappointed with what I expected. Drove from Cutler Bay to Kendall after I had confirmed that they had the dish showcased in their webpage.... I ordered a Campesina casserole which costs with Taxes $17.50 The dish is served on a hot skillet and as per the pictures in their website, the portion should have been enough to fill a 6-7 inch aluminum Foil container. What I got to go, was a 4 inch carton of scrambled egg with very little sliced sausage and shredded cheese. An incredible disappointment, and in no way resembling the picture nor the size portion expected. I walked back from my car opted to Confirm the size with the cashier and when I saw no reaction, I Requested the price be calculated again... $17.50. I left the container with the food untouched and in the takeout bag in front of him at the counter, said, thank you very much, and walked out. Consumers should respect themselves enough to not contribute to excess charging and not say anything. And taking it home and eating it... You become complicit by doing so. Pretty place, with pretty coffee... Keep it at that. read more

Macondo has a wonderful atmosphere, the moment you walk in you feel like you are in a small town somewhere in Colombia. Welcoming smiles, Beautiful decor, music and smells welcome you in. Add the delicious food to the mix and it's one of my favorite brunch places. I had the omelette- tomatoes, onion, mozzarella cheese cooked to perfection. My son had the Iron Man and it was really good too. No food was left on the plate. We both got smoothies- called Sunset. Absolutely delicious and fresh. Highly recommend! We couldn't resist the chocolate croissant, it was delicious as well, and their coffee (cappuccino) was one of the best I've tasted in this town, ended up buying a bag.
