Maybe it just wasn't my day. Today was the first time i walked in there. I didn't even know the place even existed. Well today is my birthday and I just wanted to have breakfast somewhere nice and this place has the highest reviews in the area. From walking inside everything looks nice. I almost thought I was about to have a great morning. The first employee greeted me and walked away. I was so lost. There was no sign that says seat yourself so I walked up to the counter to check out the menu but nobody talked to me either so I just walked out. I wanted to try the food so bad I sat in my car for a while checking the menu through Uber eats but after a few minutes of looking I said you know what, just go somewhere else. Maybe I have better luck next time I try this place but today definitely was not the day. Happy birthday to me. read more

Wanted to give a shout out to one of my favorite cafés in West Kendall, Macondo. Not only does it have delicious treats and great coffees, but it offers our community a meeting place to hear and see talent, participate in children's activities and book club meetings, etc. During my first visit, I was invited by friends to see a Flamenco performer. I loved it! I went back for breakfast, and I often stop by for a coffee. As I now follow them on Instagram, I went to hear a singer perform for Hispanic Heritage Month the other day. They have offered a coffee prep class and I keep missing it. Maybe the day I retire, I will be a barista. I tried the iron man breakfast and although the sausage was not the breakfast sausage (more like cocktail sausages) I anticipated it went well with the scrambled eggs and seasoned buttered potatoes. I'll definitely come back to explore the rest of their menu. The 305 Squeezed mango juice was good. First timer here, just came in to get a coffee. One of the waiters recommended a Caribbean cold brew so I decided to try it. I needed to grab something quick because my girlfriends sister was next door in the urgent care. It took almost twenty minutes for them to pour ice, coconut milk, and cream into a blender. Not to mention the entire store was almost empty, they had two tables taken in the entire place. They didn't start making my drink until I walked up to check on the status of my order, before that everyone was just standing around. The drink was $7.00 + the 20% tip I left them. I'm all for supporting small businesses, in fact I do it regularly. I'm the type of consumer to buy something from a small business instead of a big box score, if possible. Not only was I overcharged for what I received, but I was provided horrible service. Some small businesses don't deserve the business. Do your self a favor and skip this place. Wonderful place to go with a group to please everyone. The avocado toast was light and filling at the same time, so tasty. I paired it with a coconut iced latte with oat milk and it was delicious. SO glad we stopped by here! Their latte was one of the best I've had on my Florida trip so far, and I thoroughly enjoyed their bacon/egg empanada. Everything tasted very fresh. This place is relatively new but it does have its good amount of customers, and can see it growing in near future. It all started after I got up to open a tab and place an order before my friend arrived. I had a bottle water (brought from home) and left it at the table, so I can come back. The water bottle was almost taken away (table almost cleaned up, like if I had left) Then I got up again leaving my water bottle and a cappuccino at the table, went to place another order for a choco croissant. AGAIN, my coffee and water bottle were picked up and then immediately put back down when I came around the corner. When my friend arrived, i AGAIN left my water bottle for the third time at the table, because I couldn't leave my purse or cellphone. We went to the cash register to place another order and came back to my water bottle being picked up and thrown in the trash and a family seated at the table by the owner of Macondo. This was very frustrating, because I came here to relax and enjoy my morning, but instead I am here on the watch for my table. The place is not that big and I also had an open tab. Then the food came and my request was to have the pesto on the side, instead i received extra pesto on the side and on my sandwich. My friend's scrambled eggs were cold, potatoes soggy from the oil and after 3 american coffees' they decided to give here fresh milk because the creamers were old and they were curdling in the coffee. I like that the place has doubled in size, but they have lost value on the food and customer service. Had sandwiches, vegan pancakes, arepas, shakes, breakfast platters. We had Fabio's favorite and vegan pancakes and mochiatto. Everything was really good. For a family of four, it came out to $60. But OMG why noone ever told me this delish place existed?! I am overjoyed to hit up a new place for breakfast!! For me Sundays are always a breakfast ritual starting with my folks. We usually stay within the area and thought we've been almost everywhere. We happily stumbled on to here one day after hitting up one of our other breakfast spots. Entering the decor is full of color, straight vibes coming from the stereo, a good mix of people, seating is everywhere from your average table, to high tops, to a living room feel, to even industrial. It's just a cool atmosphere. The menu is large and displayed on their wall. They have so much here so take your time. Not only do they have all forms and flavorings of coffees and teas but they also have smoothies, fresh juices, iced and cold brews and more. For eats they have sandwiches and wraps for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have a variety of pizzas, arepas, empanadas, bowls like the salmon or acai bowls, rustic sandwiches, paninis, salad, soup.....the list goes on and on. Also by the register they have these wafer snacks in all flavors like taro or chocolate. After a quick looking of the menu I noticed the avocado toast and I know there was a big craze for it that kinda has died down but I still enjoy it so I went with it. I am thrilled that I did. It was so simple yet so flavorful. The red onions and cilantro and crunchy toast was perfect with the nicely sliced avocado. I'm ordering this again. My stepdad had a ham, cheese, tomato, and red onion omelet....what do they do to make it taste so soft and fluffy?! Agian that was another hit. My mother went with an traditional cheese arepa. Again light, fluffy but yet tasty and filling. We also had a chocolate slice of cake (my stepdad loves chocolate) I didn't try it but he enjoyed it to the last bite. We all had coffee which is always good and always goes well with all breakfasts. To end breakfast we all had the fresh squeezed on. I love how it comes in the cutest Mason jar filled to the top. You can taste the natural sweetness and freshness of the oranges. You have to get one. I'm telling you this spot is really perfect for health wise and just hungry people. read more

Love the vibe of this place. The coffee was amazing and the stand out of the visit. My bf had a latte and I had a chai latte. It was delicious. We ordered one to go as well!! The barista was a very nice girl with glasses and blonde ish hair. Super nice. Great employe as far as customer service and barista. The guy who was at the counter was nice too. We had meat bowl with quinoa, steak and sweet potatoes and veggies. Very healthy I just needed more flavor. Kinda bland. My bf had a cheesesteak calzone. It was tasty but nothing wow amazing. We also bought a small vegan dessert and a chocolate bar. The bar was from Ecuador and tasted amazing great chocolate. The vegan dessert was okay...I wasn't expecting it to have gluten and it wasn't anything special. Would like good gluten free options. Absolutely love this little gem of a coffee shop! This was our first time here but we will certainly be back. The food was delicious. Fresh and very flavorful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The place was very busy and we had our baby with us and they set up a little side table so we could still eat inside. I also ordered a matcha latte and I didn't like the taste at all and they were so sweet and made me a different flavor. I'm not saying the matcha latte was bad, I have never had it before and I just don't think the flavor is for me. The chai latte I ordered after was absolutely perfect. The vibe of this place is immaculate. I loved it as soon as I walked in and the menu had so much variety I couldn't even decide what to try! I went for breakfast with my friend to catch up and it was a nice place to just relax and talk, there's even a little couch area. I had 2 baked Argentinian empanadas (the beef one was delicious) and a pumpkin spice macchiato (two bc I went back for a second).
