Cranberry Chicken Salad sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup.
    Michelle E.

MacReady is my favorite spot for lunch every time I visit Door County! Their fresh breads, cookies, pastries, and soups are all amazing. My favorite menu items are the Cranberry Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Tomato Soup, and chocolate chip cookies. The cookies are baked just how I like them, thin and crispy with great flavor! The staff is always very friendly. I met Jenny at my last visit and she is personable and kind and made our visit that much better. I enjoy the outdoor seating options and sometimes in the summer I've heard live music there. No complaints and I always make sure to bring home bread and cookies to share with family members! Highly recommend stopping here while visiting the Door.

Good lunch spot with pretty good sandwiches. Wish they had hot sandwiches too but cold was good. Served bread as well. Maybe a little pricey but all is well with service too!

this place needs an award or something. seriously. they know breads and pastries like none other in the area. i recommend their famous cranberry bread and their Italian sandwich. i kept hearing from other customers how good their desserts were so we will be going again tomorrow! great great spot to pick up sandwiches for the scenic beaches in the area. we stumbled upon this while exploring the area! day 2 update visit #3 in less than 24 hrs : came back before we left door county and loaded up on sweets breads and sandwiches!!!! we cannot express how happy this place has made us and our tummies.

Best sandwiches in Door County! My husband and I stopped here for a quick lunch before biking Peninsula State Park and we were glad to find it via reviews or we may have missed it walking by. They have fresh baked bread and many options for sandwiches and baked goods. The outdoor dining was so cute with white metal chairs and tables around a small gazebo and even had live music. It was a perfect stop and an amazing sandwich. Definitely stop here if you are looking for great food, safe COVID protocols and a wonderful outdoor dining experience.

Super good sandwiches and soup. A must to stop and try. A great break away from all the heavy deep fried food.

They have the best homemade made soups and sandwiches. The chicken salad is amazing. Make sure you stop there when you visit Door County.

Nice stop for lunch. They even made a grilled cheese sandwich that was not on the menu. Super friendly people!

I had been once before, but my in-laws were visiting from England and we just had to take them here. They agreed that it was the classic, small town, American market. We all loved our visit. It's quite big inside and very open/spacious to move around. Beyond their famous cherry pies, jams, and butters, you'll find their fresh produce, local cheeses (yumm), and a unique selection of artisan goods (I'm obsessed). Also if you're an apple lover, you'll have come to the right place. They were sampling their fresh picked options, and we of course left with a big bag to take home. Also, all things fall-esque like cider donuts, pumpkin pancake mix, and unique fudge. Oh anddd they have this great little outdoor section for kiddos, equip with a swing set, big sandbox, handful of rideable bikes/cars, and a cute little rope maze in the woods. My son loved exploring. With seasonal activities like cherry-picking, it's a perfect spot to savor the region's flavors and enjoy a classic Midwest farm experience!
