As far as cost goes, his asking price is mid range, but what sold us was his attention to detail and his excellent communication and responsiveness. He always responds to text or phone and is always reachable. He completed the project right around the estimated time and we couldn't be happier. I think what makes Tony stand out among the rest is that he is present in all phases of the project; from the estimate, the point of sale, the job site project manager, and doing the actual labor. Not having to delegate these roles to others gives Tony keen insight into all facets of the job and allows him to have less overhead which equals a lower cost to the client. Ile, the owner, was super responsive and even did a same day site visit on his way home to give me an estimate. I found his prices to be competitive with other masonry companies I reached out to, but he was able to accommodate my project pretty quickly compared to the others since I was in a hurry to get this done within a certain timeframe. We hired Ile to do the work and he did not disappoint. He came when he said he would, did what he said he would do, all within a reasonable timeframe. He even noticed that our fence post was wobbly and offered to modify it slightly to accommodate the concrete and make it more secure. That also entailed him having to trim the fence gate, which wasn't in our contract, but he did it anyway as a courtesy, among other things. In short, he went above and beyond the scope of work we discussed in our contract. We would highly recommend Concrete Control. Don't let the few Yelp reviews deter you away from these guys. Just this week I hired Luciano to do some concrete on my newly remodeled home in San Carlos. I honestly could not be more pleased with the outcome. From the first day they were here, the workers were respectful, clean, and worked their butts off. I had a deadline to keep since my wife wants to have a party for 4th of July. I called to make an appointment on Monday last week and the project is done today(Saturday) It's really hard these days to find a contractor who does what they say they are Gunna do. He even retrofitted a drain plugs in two places. I was happy with the end result, although if you are a perfectionist there were a few things I would point out. There was a slight uneven bump between sections creating a small lip. The drain plug was not quite even with the cement. There were scraps of cement pieces left on the side. Some excess dirt that was dug out were left behind. As I mentioned, I was happy with the results but it wasn't 100% perfect. I would recommend him

The quote they gave for the work was unbeatable. They showed up on time, wore masks, got the job done quickly despite weather setbacks. I'm happy with the driveway. I think they could have done better with the garage slab, there is some waviness in the concrete however it's sufficient especially for what I paid. I'm handy enough to fix with self-leveling concrete and I plan to tile it anyway. Only other drawback was I had to be more involved than I expected with ordering materials. Wasn't a problem since I was home but if I was at work and my wife had to deal with it, it could have been messy. Also they should have included sealing the driveway as part of the original quote, even it meant a higher price. I did it myself. Solid work though for an excellent price. I have already recommended them to several neighbors.
