We ate lunch here on a Sunday afternoon and it was lovely. My party of 7 sat out in the back porch area with a wonderful view of the water and wellfleet bridge. It was nice since it gets super crowded on weekends so the 11:45am lunch start was just right in terms of beating the Summer Crowds. We had a plethora of dishes: fried clams were excellent and super fresh, tuna sandwiche was grilled to perfection and not dry at all, fish tacos were excellent, Gonjang burger was very flavorful and the poke bowl was to die for The service was excellent and punctual and I would definitely recommend this restaurant. When on the Cape - Mac's in Wellfleet is a must!

A local favorite so be prepared to wait and enjoy a drink before your table is ready. No reservations accepted. Fish is fresh and creatively prepared, drinks look pretty but are overly sweet with questionable inclusion of alcohol. The views of the pond are lovely, although you need to get there early as the "electric walls" come down once the mosquitoes come out. A summer outing that doesn't disappoint.

Undoubtedly the best in Wellfleet !! If you're a seafood fan / this is it !! It has a fantastic bar scene as well! Great for date night out - family and friend's. They have an amazing wine list. On the drink list try the El Mescalito or the Siesta!!

I had a wonderful time at Mac's Shack. The food was well portioned and delicious. I do wish the vegan and vegetarian options were better labeled / noted on the menu, though I was very glad to find some excellent options that our server also helped point out. The fries made me feel like I was on vacation & the braised beet poke bowl was new-to-me and I'm so glad I ordered it. So beautifully plated as well, I might add. We came on a night Mac was present at this location in Wellfleet, and it was a pleasure to meet him and say hellos. The back patio seating was honestly the biggest highlight for me... I mean, can't beat these views!

We go here frequently and really enjoy the cocktails. They have great bartenders. My husband always order the oysters and they are so fresh and briney. He also really enjoys the hamburger. It's one of his top five places for a burger. I usually get the fish and chip which is cooked well and fresh. They have such a nice outdoor space. This is a fun spot!

This is one of our local friends favorite places. No reservations so if you show up late, prepare for a wait. They have a new covered area out back which is perfect (in lieu of the prior tent). Service was tremendous, Nicholas was the best. Super attentive, helpful with menu items, and very experienced. Ambiance was fun, casual, and vibrant. The food was amazing. We started out with the cod cheeks and grilled octopus which were divine. We also had the shrimp and scallop dumplings which were the least favorite thing that we ordered - just ok. All the sushi and sashimi were so fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Miso soup the best we've ever had. Highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

We had to wait for around an hour for a table of five but we were seated in the pergola area and it was so lovely! There were some bugs but it was ok. I recommend the pomegranate marg it was great and the kung pao cauliflower!! The burger was good and the fries were meh. I had a bite of the cucumber sushi as well which I really enjoyed. Super fun vibe and great for a nice dinner in wellfleet!

    Halibut with Lobster Mashed Potatoes

Came here for lunch and it seemed to be a popular choice! Even with the poor weather this place has an impressive set up on the back of the building with a weather proof enclosed tent, that had heating, fans, the works! The chowder and Brussels sprouts were both a delicious appetizer! Followed by our entrees which we had a difficult time choosing for the amazing selection! I had the Harissa Salmon dish and it was divine and my friend had the Halibut with the Lobster mashed potatoes, both wonderful meals! Our server was friendly and attentive! If in Wellfleet this is a must!

Oh this was a treat! Two California girls on a New England Road trip. We wanted a taste of seafood and we got the best of the best here. We got a table outside. Jole, our server, helped narrow down the choices. She was awesome! We ordered oysters, calamari, bellied fried clams and fish tacos. The calamari was not fried instead it was served in a rich tomato and garlicky sauce. It was delicious. The bellied fried clams were like fried calamari. The French fries were not the best. We ended with the fish tacos, the fish and the garnishes were amazing! I would definitely come back. Oh and all that for under $100. Make sure to arrived before 5pm to get quick service. It got filled up pretty quick after we arrived at 4:45pm.

May take some time but well worth the wait! Lobster Mashed Potato and Lobster Fettuccini were the highlights!

Wanted to love this place as it looked like a chill vibe with upscale tapas and we're not afraid to spend extra for great food and cocktails on vacation -- but beside the somewhat chill decor everything from service to cocktails to food was a major let down. We were here last Wednesday (8/19/26) and sat at the bar and were there early so it was really quiet. And the bartender was the worst I've ever had! Literally had NO IDEA on how to describe the cocktails or even make a good one. I asked about two and he said "they're sweet" and I said I don't like sweet can you recommend another one and he said "they're not sweet." Errr...ok? I tried one -- it was not good. Then it took forever for us to order our food and mind you the place was so slow. Food was just like "meh" could have made this at home and was extremely under seasoned. I rarely salt my food and I was dumping salt on everything. The portions and what they gave you was super stingy. I know it's small plates but it was ridiculous -- Like a dip we got had two saltine crackers - that was it. So we each got 1 cracker. We watched the other couple at the bar wait like 30+ minutes for the bartender to bring them a menu and finally get their drink order and he was doing nothing. We had to practically beg for a glass of wine and some salt for our food. He was legit standing right there and never asked how our food was. What looked to be the owner or manager was just meandering around and not helping service either. You're better off going elsewhere unless you're down to get taken advantage of.

Service was excellent - the host accommodated our last-minute request for outdoor seating and our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable. My fiancé and I ordered the Wellfleet oysters with mignonette and the house focaccia (both a must try!) to start, and the scallops and daily catch (yellowfin tuna) as our mains. Patio was lively, with fun music and cute lighting, without being overcrowded or too loud. Overall we had a perfect night and will definitely be back!

For those considering The Wicked Oyster for dinner, I highly caution you to consider otherwise…read more My husband and I (age 40) visited The Wicked Oyster Provisions shop the day before our dining experience and had a wonderful time. The woman working in the shop was hosting a wine tasting, and we left with some delicious provisions as a result. Because of our great experience, we booked a dinner reservation for the restaurant the next evening. Upon arriving for our reservation, we were promptly seated at a 4-top table in the front room. It was a cloudy day, but even so the room was quite dark. One guest dining was using a phone flashlight in an attempt to read the menu at 6pm. A tea light candle would have done worlds for not only the lighting, but the overall ambiance. While the interior paint color was lovely, the 90's hotel art and Home Depot lighting left a lot to be desired. We ordered the fingerling potatoes, Wellfleet oysters, scallops, and lobster cavatelli. The fingerling potatoes (our snack) came out at the same time as our appetizer (the oysters). We were disappointed that the potatoes were quite dry and overcooked atop what tasted equivalent to a jarred romesco sauce. We quickly ran out of sauce in an attempt to resuscitate the potatoes. The oysters were fine, but not notably different than the Wellfleet oysters we purchase from Whole Foods at home, in Colorado. My husband ordered the scallops, which were served in a seasonal corn sauce with zucchini and peaches. The scallop portion was generous, but the sauce left a lot to be desired. He described it as more of an unseasoned creamed corn than a sauce and there wasn't a pine nut (as advertised) in sight. My pasta was equally disappointing. At this price point, I expected a fresh rolled pasta, which was not the case. The pasta was quite flavorless and the "sauce" was runny and unseasoned. It was also served with a fork, which was quite comical for both my husband and the two tables around us with his watery the sauce was. I might also note that I received a quarter-sized chunk of parm on top, rather than a grated garnish. Thinking it was a chunk of lobster, I bit into it and was quite surprised. The service was attentive, but felt a lot more casual than we expected. We were surprised to see what many of the service staff were dressed in athleisure attire. At this price point, I would expect otherwise. We were glad that our water glasses stayed full, but wish that had been with the sparkling water we ordered, rather than the still water poured. Our sparkling water bottle remained largely full as a result. Overall, we are unable to recommend this restaurant. This is only our third year traveling to the Cape, but would far recommend restaurants like The Pheasant, Baliene, or Chatham Fish Pier over this experience. We left thankful that this wasn't our last night in town and had one more chance to enjoy a nice dinner on the Cape.

There are multiple different seating options, everything from an outdoor patio to high top bar seats, tables, and the indoor booth seating which is what we selected. The dining room is comfortable, and with open windows it provided a nice breath of fresh air. We started with the seafood sampler, a wonderful combination of fresh and delicious shellfish (clams, oysters, shrimp and a lobster tail). We then split appetizers instead of entrees, having the tuna tartare and the Chatham mussels, both of which were excellent. There was some minor room for improvement - after we were done with our seafood sampler, we sat for about 10 minutes while our server Danielle seemed to be in an enthusiastic conversation with Caroline out in front of the restaurant. It provided for some interesting dinner theater, but with so many other employees standing around, it probably would have been an ideal opportunity for somebody else to chip in and take over. Also, the mussels came in a wonderful wine / garlic sauce - some bread would have been a thoughtful addition to soak up that wonderful broth. Fortunately the quality of the food and the vibe of the restaurant more than compensated for a couple of service issues - we visited in late May, so hopefully by the time this restaurant hits the busy season, they'll have the issues worked out. Overall, I would certainly not hold back from referring this restaurant.
