I ordered take out a s was pleased with the service. The staff was attentive and had great reconnecting. The service was fast. I order a burger and tots. And it took no time to prepare. Everything was fresh and to my liking. The place had a relaxed, chill vibe. I would totally return to dine in. There is a sense of a parking and entrance.

César salad, 1/4 rack of ribs, and smoked beef sausage...OMG so good

Well, this can be a tough review. BBQ can be an emotional topic for many, So, i come you all with just my humble opinion. Located on Main Street on the West side of Greenville across the street from Flour Field you will find Mac's Speed shop. This is now my favorite BBQ joint ever!! Ribs are out rigorously good. sides are terrific. Don't miss the Mexican St corn, with a twist. Fries are awesome. The Vibe here is good, I usually sit outside with my Pug. Yes, this is a dog friendly place. The service is as good as it can be. The staff is friendly, and down to earth. Prices are reasonable, Portions are generous. Th Fatere is plenty of parking available including for motorcycles. If you're really hungry and brave, they offer the "Fat Boy challege" a 5-pound sandwich fries and a half pound of mac and cheese, This is a place not to be missed. I hope you all enjoy as i have.

So after visiting the one in Greensboro NC while I was visiting family, I had to try this one when I got back home. Sat at the bar and had the same thing I had in Greensboro: 1/2 chicken dry rub, fried okra and mac & cheese. The chicken was just as good, ok maybe a little better, the fried okra had a great golden brown crisp and delicious inside. And the mac & cheese was off the chain!!! Great friendly service and a very casual atmosphere. Plenty of space to move around and great for large groups. Will definitely be back.

We ate here twice over the 4 nights we spent in the nearby Homewood Suites. A Best Buy, IMHO, is the $40 platter with 4 meats and 2 sides. We got that as takeout. Our hotel has a full fridge and the 2 of us had about 6 meals. The 4 meats were pulled pork, 1/4 smoked chicken(breast portion), spare ribs, and brisket. The spareribs were overcooked, hard and dry, 2/5. We tossed most of it. I loved the sliced brisket, 5/5, that had just enough fat to add flavor. The chicken was okay, 3/5 the pulled pork, 4/5. The takeout came in a nice aluminum pan. We had beans and fried okra as sides, 4/5. We ate our 2nd meal at the restaurant, se bill photo. I ordered the Smokehouse Dip, with au jus which is brisket chopped. I didn't like this brisket as much as the sliced brisket, to many brittle, hard, dry pieces. I wouldn't order it again. The pulled pork was just as good as the takeout. We would order that again. Our server didn't seem too interested in putting forth much effort. Perhaps she was having a bad day. :-( In spite of her, there is a positive vibe about the place with others smiling and trying to be helpful.

Yummy pork rinds, fresh made. The best way to eat them

We got to Macs on a Thursday evening, and being our first time, we waited to be seated, that took a few minutes, not too bad. We got seated and given menus. When the waitress came by, we ordered the cracklings, a burger and a salad I can say that the cracklings were absolutely amazing. They were still crackling from the oil when they got to the table. I would absolutely order this again. The burger was good, pretty hard to mess it up. But the salad just wasn't good. The chicken strips were cold, and the lettuce was tasting like it was at its end, and the salad was HUGE, so a huge bowl of blah lettuce and cold chicken fingers. It was meh.

I always love trying a new BBQ joint, especially when visiting a new place. I came in for lunch and a lovely, beautiful bartender took care of me. They were moderately busy at the bar, but there wasn't anyone sitting at tables during lunchtime on a Tuesday. Service was quick, the food came out nice and fresh and hot. I wanted to try their brisket, so I got their brisket platter and added a jalapeño sausage to it. The brisket was decent, but was cut slightly too thick for the level of moisture it offered, so as it cooled just slightly, those dry pieces became very hard to choke down. I tried all of their sauces too, and there wasn't much difference in flavor and spice between the two non-mustard sauces, but all three were decent. The Texas toast that came with the platter was awesome! The dirty rice was spiced perfectly and had all the right stuff, when it comes to dirty rice. And their mac & cheese was excellent too. The sausage was decent, just didn't taste anything like there was jalapeño in it. Overall - Not bad. Definitely better than "Carolina BBQ" though, but nowhere near true Texas or KC BBQ. If I came back, I'd try their sandwiches or something like that instead. Maybe their wings.

It has been years since I went to Mac's Speed Shop. I really liked it when they have a location in Charlotte, the food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. Since we are going to the baseball game across the street at the Greenville location we decided to go with something familiar. First of all, the staff was great, we have a part of 14, the host got our table together quickly and the server was super friendly and fast. The restaurant overall is ok clean but it seems under staff with lots of table that is empty but didn't clean yet. Then comes the food, the bbq pork was still tasted good, the side dishes was flavorful. We also ordered some new dishes for the Olympics line, the onion rings was super salty and the fish also on the salty side. I was disappointed at the food but service was great!

    Kinda cool.

Cool atmosphere, good music. Our server, well, last night may have been more fun than her morning has been - low low low energy at best. Ordered the Southern Egg Rolls as an appetizer. "Sorry, we're out of those"...ok, Burnt Ends then. "Yeah, we're out of those too." Fatal flaw for a restaurant as far as I'm concerned. That said, the brisket dip sandwich was fine, the pulled pork quesadilla was the bright spot. Big 'ole "meh" experience for us.

Table for 2 for Dinner    We took the short walk from our hotel over to Mac's. It was around 8pm, and we were a little hungry looking for a late night dinner. We entered, were greeted nicely at the door and seated immediately. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options.  We opted to sit inside, this time around.  Our server quickly stopped by and dropped off our menus and asked if we had questions.   We reviewed the food and drink menus.  The beer selection was huge with a bunch on tap in addition to some can and bottle offerings. I was in heaven.   I ordered a Hazy IPA that was on tap and Wifey opted for a pink lemonade. We quickly decided on our food options.  Wifey ordered the Pulled Pork meal with a side of Baked Bean and Mashed potatoes.  I ordered 2 Fried Shrimp Tacos.  The food came out pretty quickly. My Shrimp tacos were very fresh and crunchy with a spicy sauce. Wifey said her Pulled Pork was "Very Very Good" and had a little to pack up. The service was excellent. Cameron, our server, was a star. He was working multiple tables, but still found time for us.   Overall, a very good experience and I will definitely come back. 4.5 Rating

While the initial customer service was quite a bit slow to seat our party and did not approach us until we approached them despite seeing us come in the doors, the food and our server, Shy, was wonderful. Everything was incredibly well seasoned and delicious. I enjoyed the Shrimp Platter and was absolutely glad I did. It was served with a cocktail sauce and an orange sauce that was so delicious. It was almost too much food -- not pictured was the cucumber salad (amazing vinegar based salad with onion) and Texas toast on the side. A few notes: - They don't have coffee and my grandmother and aunt were almost like 'let's go' since they drink so much. Please get coffee and appropriate creamer/milk options back soon. - We sat at a picnic table, but these aren't as accessible for older individuals or those with disabilities. Please consider adding tables outside, also. - The heat was great, but could've been awesome if they had a heat strip on the outside of the awning as well as in the middle. Finally-- they are puppy friendly outdoors! I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for a tasty food spot that is pup friendly.

Ended up not ordering anything. Out of everything I wanted.

Leaving a review for me alone. Came on a Sunday at 12:30. It's my daughters birthday and this was her pick. I ended up not ordering anything. They were out of Turkey, ham, sliced or shaved brisket... the 86 list on the wall fills the whole board almost. Unfortunately, very disappointing to show up just as lunch is starting and for them to be out of sooo much. I tried some of everyone's food and asked their opinions. The fries are breaded. If you don't mind breaded fries, they were fine but not very hot. Sweet potato fries, same assessment. I tried the pork. It was very dry and a chore to eat it. No one was very pleased with their pork. The burger my daughter ordered was probably the most well received. Seemed to be cooked well. My other daughter had the chicken tender sandwich, which she said was dry and in need of some sort of sauce or condiment to help with that. Around the table, mostly 2's & 3's. One 4 out of 5 from my youngest daughter. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. No issues with our service at all. The bathrooms were clean, but it is a bit difficult to navigate between two tables with a pole in between to get to the bathrooms. Plenty of tvs and outdoor eating space.

Right by Fluor Field with a fun, lively vibe. We sat outside, which was clean, comfortable, and a great spot to hang out before an event. Service was fantastic. David, our server, was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable, and really helped elevate the experience. For food, we started with the wings (dry rub and Jamaican jerk). The flavors were decent, but the wings themselves were rubbery and a bit underwhelming, especially considering the price point. One standout though... the ranch dressing. Easily some of the best I've had. The breakfast tacos were good overall, and the chimichurri was fresh and flavorful. I think adding a creamy component would have taken them up another level. The sweet potato fries were fantastic. The chicken and biscuit was decent. The Nashville-style chicken had good flavor, but the tenders were on the smaller side, making the portion feel a bit lacking. The biscuit itself was solid. The tallow fries were also well done, and the Lefty's sauce was a nice addition. One unique touch at the end. You're given the option to send a postcard, and they handle the postage and mailing for you. A really fun and memorable detail. Overall, a good spot with great service and atmosphere, though some of the food execution and portion sizes could be improved.

Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.
