Literally walked in with my husband, picked out SHOES stood there while the sales man chit chatted about a sale they were having in a few days to another customer. He saw us and didn't acknowledge us once. He walked across the floor, past us and said hi to someone walking in the store not even going to shoes, comes back, passes us again while we had shoes in hand and doesn't even say hi. Please note a total of 5 people on the tiny sales floor: 1 sales man a couple he was talking to and us. That is all. What a Joke. Wow. When I arrived at the store my first thought was how small this location was. After looking around, I realized the selections here were meek compared to other locations. The store was a mess and things were not kept up nicely. The store seemed crowded, but all their mercandise looked the same. The quality of the products have gone down and some of the brand names I was looking for were absent. We did score a deal on a clearance sheet set (marked more than 80% off). After we purchased our one item, we immediately left the store. It will be a long time and desperate measures that would bring us back to this location. read more

Too long I had been settling for cheap makeup, no more as I walked through Macy's door with a budget of $100 (100 dollar bill, holla). I walked in like a hot mess after a long day of school, pushing an old stroller, with a handsome young fella enjoying his ride. Javier approached me with in seconds of appearing at the clinique counter. This man was child friendly (meaning that he respected and acknowledged my son and was friendly, including him in the process of my purchase). I encourage you to seek out Javier if you are in need of any makeup tips or tricks or if you are like I am and just starting to get your feet wet again. After being with out decent makeup for so long, he helped me get back to basics. I went in to do some Christmas shopping and during checkout I had an employee by the name of Alejandro Navarro helping me out. In the beginning everything was good. That was until he brought up the Macy's credit card. I was a bit interested at first but then it seemed to go from a good card with benefits, to a sales pitch, and then just annoying. He let me know that he gets paid for every new person that signs up through him, so I would be helping him out. He then threw what seemed to be his last attempt to reel me in by telling me his sob story about his financial problems. I declined, purchased my items, and left. Never coming here again. read more

I had an unpleasant experience at my local Macy's store in Los Cerritos center. I was returning some items when the employee by the name Morena employee number 10308370 was giving me a hard time about returning items that my daughter had received as Xmas gifts. All of the items had tags and return labels but she seemed to not want to return them and kept on questioning me about how they were bought as I told her they were gifts. She continued to give me a hard time about the items and made excuses on why she couldn't return them even though they were all coming up in the system. I then told her I knew she could return them because I was a former Macy's employee and that's when she finally offered me store credit and made me split the rest of my returns for whatever reason. She insisted on making me feel like I was returning stolen merchandize for no reason. I asked her why and she gave me an attitude saying that if I was a former Macy's employee I should know why she was splitting my returns. I've never had such a negative experience at Los Cerritos center but I was so disappointed that I was in store and I could not find a manager as I waited for over 10 min. I went to the Stonewood store yesterday, July 18th. I was buying a birthday gift of Levi's for my granddaughter. Kenya was extremely helpful, courteous, and professional. The first code on the tag was different than my snapshot in my phone of the skinny jeans I was looking for. Kenya explained though both codes, (the one I was looking for and the one I purchased) should be fairly comparable with only a slight difference in the waist. If they didn't fit like the Levi's my granddaughter has, there would be no problem in returning them today. I will be at the store this morning for the exchange. I hope I see Kenya. What a great representative she is as the face of your company. Excellent customer service is the best asset you have to offer the public, after product, of course! The first ever time I encountered make-up specialist that I actually understood. I walked over to the Benefit section of the make-up department at Macy's and I am glad that I did! She (I'm sorry but I forgot her name) went straight to me and told me to "Sit down!" with a smile. Then before I knew it she asked me all the right questions and taught me every single step that is needed to have a clean and fresh face made-up. I am very happy with what I came out with and the products she suggested to me. It was also for my grad celebration so it was definitely worth the money! The men's department is also very neat! This review is for Clinique. During the holidays, I wanted to buy their products and asked about complementary facial. The staff were uninterested in doing business with me. They made my schedule but pushing it around to each other. One of the girl who is available to do it, jumped right in when I'm making schedule to tell her colleague to put my appointment open. Like nobody wants to take care of me. I'm surprised with their customer service. I called back later that night to cancel appointment coz I didn't want to spend alot of money where people don't value my business. I went to Clinique at Lakewood and got the products. Then my friends wanted to buy it too but Lakewood run out of the gifts, so I called Cerritos Clinique to inquiry. The girl who answered the phone was rude. Terrible costumer service! I called to ask a simple question and I was transferred to handbags and accessories. The woman who answered was not able to help me so she transferred me to handbags and purses. I asked the next woman my question, she cut me off in the middle of my question and said "I know where you're going with this, no". After this I decided to just say good bye and end our conversation since I was so frustrated with how poorly I was treated. This location is the most unorganized store! Online order pick up takes forever. I wasn't going to give this bad review, however, this is the third time I've had an awful experience. First, the cashier scans the email confirmation, then that same person goes to the storage to look for the order. They do not have enough staff. How is this their system especially during the holidays when it's most busy? It took him super long to return to me only to tell me that it's not there. I then asked him how was this possible if I got an email stating that my order has arrived and is ready for pick up?? This is not the first time this happened. So unorganized!!! read more

Regardless not all associates are the best they are humans. When i used their restroom, i could tell No one is maintaining it, toilet papers on the floor in every cubicle and then not to mention the toilet bowl so gross. I took my dress that was ruined by the cleaners to this place (where i purchased it a little over a month ago) I didn't have a receipt, the tag was off the dress and it was obviously ruined! but the staff there were so nice and do you know what they did?! they took the dress back! and i was able to get another one!!!! Poor customer service. January 15th...well after Christmas but I guess the sales associates with no access to the register are still working. Never head of associates at Macy's not being able to use the register. I only wanted to make a return but 5 associates standing around couldn't help me and sent me on a hunt for a register. Finally find an associate and she can't return the cash and has me wait an additional 17 minutes for a manager to only say the same thing. Asked for the corporate address so that Macy's can know that their policy isn't convenient however the MANAGER claims to not know how to get in contact with corporate and gives me the number to the Macy's Star Rewards....completely UNACCEPTABLE. The only reason for 2 stars is because the associate and manager that were assisting me weren't rude about it. read more

She stated she was adding "Thanks for Sharing" to my purchase but there would be no charge to my account. The bill comes and there is a charge for $25. This is a review for the Origins in Macy's. This was yesterday, 10/29/2014, like at 4pm: I've been to many Origins, both retail stores and department store stands. Macy's Main Place, Macy's Brea, Macy's South Coast and Origins South Coast but the two times that I have been here for a mini facial (which is offered free; of course I understand that this is not "free" and 5 times out of 6 I do buy a product from Origins when I do get a mini facial), I have had the worst customer service experience. I had a less-than-mini facial from some older Origins associate that informed me she has been with the company for 6 years and ideally they prefer that you stick with one skin care "specialist." okay, I know for a fact that almost everyone who gives mini facials in Origins, even if properly trained is not a dermatologist, so why does it matter who gives me a facial? Anyway, even after she let me know she would give me a facial because I was already there, she proceeded to use cleanser that was not for oily skin (I have oily skin), use a skin polisher and put moisturizer on my face. Not the correct cleanser, no toner, no mask and no serum. Since they do make money from their sales, you would think she would want a new customer.. But no. In fact, I was in need of buying the skin polisher and I did indeed buy it, but after her attitude, I returned it. Trust me, try any other Origins in the OC and you'll be taken care of, 10 mins of relaxing at least, but not here, unless you're a regular and even if you do have most of the products. read more

Since, it's located very near to my home I go to shopping so many times to this place. They have a variety of men's and women's clothes, perfumes, makeup kits, household items, gifts, especially nice shoes, bags and for me, large selection of bar III suit separates. The sales associates working here are nice (most of them). If you have a Macy's Credit Card you get 20% discounts. Although, during busy times clothes are not displayed properly and you can't find the stuffs easily if you get a help of nice associates your experience will be even more amazing. It's very expensive to buy stuffs here but it satisfies you. And, if you want to return the products make sure you don't lose the price tags. But, honestly, you can find the products cheaper online. read more

The shoes department never answers their phone. I was on hold for 20 minutes and then when they picked up they immediately hanged up.

I was at this location today for Black Friday shopping. I attempted to buy a pair of shoes and after waiting 30 minutes and being told they are in stock it turned out they were not. The shoe department was total chaos. I understand they were busy but there is no system in place to help a customer. I'm just going to try to find the shoes online. read more

When the captain of the ship is fair, friendly, and looks out for the customers it make for a better experience. The captain I am talk about here is Rich he is the store manger for Cerritos. I had a issue with my ring being misplaced by the shipping company. Amanda was my original sales associate had she was so nice and professional and answered all my questions.. I think I got spoiled. Ups lost my ring while being sized Shareene (Jewelry manager ) called me right away and had a solution for me. The ring that was picked out for a replacement was a little big for me so I took to South Coast for an exchange (Ill review later). South coast is the worst. I called back Cerritos and the manger Rich told me to come in to talk to him. He was so nice and came up with a good solution we are all happy with. I will always be customer because of the Cerritos staff. I think South Coast needs a lesson from Rich. Thanks Rich, Sharleen, and Amanda.
