I walked into Macy's Los Ceritos with the intent of spending my 3 gift cards that I received for x-mas. I even mentioned it to the sales person that I wanted to spend my gift cards.... I asked if she can tell me where the shirt is on the mannequin. She points across the way and says, "It's over there." I walk to the area where she pointed at and found pants and sale items. I walk back to her and ask her again where the shirt is and she replies, "Everything on that rack is 40% off." I said to her, that's not what I was asking. Eventually she decides to walk me around the area looking for the shirt that is on the mannequin. But no Luck. When we couldn't find it, she proceeds to tell me (with a point), "It's not here, but it should be over there". She points to the same area where we walked from..... Very dismissive and intentionally points to an area she knows the Shirt is not......I said to her, "That's fucked up. You just pointed to the same area where you know it's not, because that's where we just came from. You just dismissed me." I will never shop here again. It's a new economy and I will spend my money someplace else. It's Macy's. I am very sure I can find the same shirt at a different store. I know not all Macy's are the same. I will just have to spend my gift card at Macy's South Coast Plaza or Lakewood shopping center, where they are a lot more friendly. read more

I don't understand how a popular store at very nice shopping center can allow themselves to be so disorganized and extremely short staffed. I went shoe shopping yesterday and the shoes were all over the place at this location. It was very difficult to find service and as I was observing the woman at the register all I could do was empathize with her situation. She was working returns, sales, on the phone, and attempting to juggle her staff on the walkie talkie. One of the men who were assigned to that location seemed like he was hiding while the other one was semi helpful but his attitude prompted discontent for his job position. Macy's at Cerritos you really need to make a major change in your customer service skills as well as the morale of your employees. Once you have worked on rebuilding and refueling the enthusiasm of your team then and only then will your shoe department soar! Also the lay out does not flow right and your name brands are scattered everywhere it's just chaos up there. read more

When the captain of the ship is fair, friendly, and looks out for the customers it make for a better experience. The captain I am talk about here is Rich he is the store manger for Cerritos. I had a issue with my ring being misplaced by the shipping company. Amanda was my original sales associate had she was so nice and professional and answered all my questions.. I think I got spoiled. Ups lost my ring while being sized Shareene (Jewelry manager ) called me right away and had a solution for me. The ring that was picked out for a replacement was a little big for me so I took to South Coast for an exchange (Ill review later). South coast is the worst. I called back Cerritos and the manger Rich told me to come in to talk to him. He was so nice and came up with a good solution we are all happy with. I will always be customer because of the Cerritos staff. I think South Coast needs a lesson from Rich. Thanks Rich, Sharleen, and Amanda. I know stuff happens, but your guys are awesome and should be the GOLD Standard for customer service every store . read more

Cecilia in Michael Kors was SO rude to me. I talked with with several other customers that agreed they were being mistreated and neglected. She made me feel rushed to make a decision on a purse because she "couldn't leave me alone with them" but didn't fail to mention she had two other people waiting for her help. When you are spending a lot of money on a gift to yourself you deserve to be treated with your respect and excitement. She had a flat rude affect and took away my excitement about my purchase. My review is just for the shoe department. It wasn't even about the people there but the speakers right above the shoe department are so blaring loud that it was really uncomfortable just being there. I just had to get out, could not stay a minute there. I mean soft music or evenly balanced but I don't want that kind of annoying music playing while I'm trying to shop. I'm not deaf. I wasn't very impressed with this Macy's. Maybe it was out of shape because of the chaos of 4th of July sales, but it was craziness in here! The shoe section was all messed up and there were hoards of people going through all the sales racks; there were shoes thrown everywhere all over the ground and it was difficult to walk. There were very few salespeople to be seen, so good luck if you needed to find a shoe in your size. In the end I didn't see anything that caught my eye so we just wandered through the rest of the store. Nothing much to see here. read more

Hi yelpers, Just went to the Clinique counter and was greeted by an awsome associate consultant by the name of CECILIA and she was awsome she really listnen to my concerns and what brought me to clinique. I told her about my acne scars and oilyness and she tried on products and explain in a calm and easy to understand voice. I was confident about the products so i purchase them from her, she is my go to consultant from now on. I highly recommend this very nice associate! read more

I just stopped by the Laura Mercier Counter on 7/5/16 @ around 3:15pm, and the lady (heavier set Hispanic lady with tons of makeup) that was there was SO rude! Never acknowledged me! Wow! Why are you working in a customer service job? This lady needs to get some customer service training or GET OUT of this field completely! I just have to say a huge thank you to Leslie at Lancôme and Sarah the sales manager. I had an unfortunate experience getting scammed on a gift card I purchased from a third party and was shocked to find out the $100 card I had was actually $49.86. Luckily Leslie and Sarah researched the transaction and made it right for me. I left feeling so relieved. They owed me nothing but really I am astounded how they helped me. I can't say thanks enough. Came here on the Macy's one day sale and found beautiful gold hoop earrings. I waited 20 minutes for someone to help me and finally I had to get someone and she was too worried about whether or not it was my turn and that she was supposed to take a break then. Then she tried to hand me off to someone else because her key didn't open the cabinet and didn't want to take the time to get the correct key even though there were 3 other people that needed help and only one other person in that area to help customers. My mom even tried purchasing a bag in the jewelry department and they said the discount wouldn't work after I checked with someone else who said it would. I am appalled by the Sunglasses Hut cashier, Jason. We are still waiting behind a customer who is literally calling in his fraud protection and it's been 20 minutes. Jason Enship says he cannot suspend transaction so we are waiting behind while the customer calls in the fraud protection company. Said customer was nice enough to say we could go while he calls but just to spite ME Jason refused and gave me his "store manager" business card and "DARED me to call on him." Challenge accepted. According to their website and the sign on their door, they are supposed to open at 0800 today. I left at 0824 and they still had all their doors locked and security doors closed. Rude. Employees avoid you and act like they don't see you when you approach one for help. Terrible customer service. They seem understaffed.

I'm not big on going to the mall so I'm not certain if all Macy's locations have terrible customer service or just this one. I ordered jewelry online and went to this location to pick up the order. When I arrived, there were three employees working in the department. One employee was helping a customer, one was doing what looked like busy work (strange for a Saturday afternoon when there is a huge sale), and the third appeared to be helping a customer but after a while I realized she was just yapping it up with a friend. I sat in one of the chairs waiting for someone to finish in clear view of all the associates. When the first associate finished her transaction I got up thinking she would assist me but instead she went to the back. I then asked the second associate if she could assist me since I was only picking up an item and it wouldn't take long. She said she was busy doing inventory and couldn't help me and told me to wait. I asked her how long I had to wait considering the only person who was actually helping customers went to the back and I'm sure the look on my face showed I was annoyed. She then went to the back and got the first associate who came and completed the transaction (which took all of 5 minutes) but you could tell she was not happy about it. Overall a poor customer service experience. read more

I love Macy's, but this one is my least favorite based on a watch purchase. I bought a watch for my Dad for Christmas that he couldn't wear, so he gave it back. I was told at returns to take it directly to the watch desk. They wouldn't take it back as it was over 30 days, and the young girl was kind of rude. I asked if I could get store credit. No. I asked if I could exchange it, she disappeared for awhile, then it was a yes, but she seemed totally inconvenienced, and wouldn't even look at me. I bought a watch, she was unable to size it, so I left. I took it to another Macy's in Westminster, and got a great young guy who allowed me to exchange it for an even nicer watch. It wasn't working right, so I took it to Cerritos where the next young girl had no idea the process, did not know how to operate an automatic watch, and couldn't pronounce Bulova properly! Really?? My brand name bags are here like MK, Coach and Dooneys because when u catch the sale it's the best I don't go to outlets anymore now I know about the blow out sale. Girls the outlets bags has never made it to the there regular store how I know because my outlet bag and my friend coach bag where different feel and texture in leather and logo is all off too, she got it at Macys . That's how they defy you as a bag holder are u an outlet shopper or regular original bag shopper is sad but it's true ladies. Several of us stood in the check out line for more than 30 minutes and realized we weren't moving because Macy's allowed one selfish woman to check out 5-8 separate orders. So let me get this straight: she can make us wait because she was shopping for people too lazy to show up? Or better yet, her crowd was incapable of doing the math had she done ONE transaction? Bottomline: Macy's should have more respect for customers than to allow so many to wait (although several left), while one rotten person monopolized their time. Had a wonderful experience this past monday when i was there at the Estee Lauder counter. The associate was really helpful and friendly! Her name was Natasha if im not mistaken. The last couple days I have been on a hunt all across LA to find a certain Bulova watch. I called this store and was lucky enough to find they had 1 left in stock which I asked them to place on hold for me. I showed up at the watch counter and the clerk (Lia I believe) was helping a customer. As I was patiently waiting a third person walked up to the counter and Lia began helping the person before me. STRIKE 1! After waiting for almost 10 minutes to be helped she finally came over and asked how she could help me. I told her I had a watch on hold and she went to get it for me. I loved the watch and asked if they honored the Macy's online price which was 20% off. After she made me feel like a 2nd class citizen because I was asking for the 20% price (STRIKE 2!) I asked why they don't honor the online price. The only thing she kept saying was if I want more savings I should sign up for a Macy's card which I already told her I wasn't going to do. She kept urging me to sign up for Macy's card and wouldn't take no for an answer. I put the watch back down and walked away. I then walked to the other side of the mall and bought the same watch at Zales for 25% off...Dear Macy's, you lost $300. read more

Went into Macy's Cerritos location and picked up 2 items that totaled 170$. I proceeded to pay with my gift cards that I got for Father's Day at the men's cologne department. At around 8:00 pm gave my cards to cashier attendant.. She proceeded to scratch the back to get the code then proceeded to tell me they wouldn't scan. Then I was pissed by then because my daughter mother and wife bought me those cards worth 190$ total .Then I ask to see a manager and it takes her 15 mins to show up...I'm burnt at this point .Manager gets the cards calls the card department and I'm waiting for 20 mins for her to tell me that there is a hold on my cards ..Now I'm a BLACK man and starting to feel discriminated against ..But I could be wrong and over reacting . So I proceed to call on my own on each card to see if there is money on those cards and each one of them had money on those cards ...STAY AWAY FROM THIS RACIST PLACE ..THEY STEREOTYPED ME AND RACIALLY PROFILED ME ..I'm 47 been a Macy's loyal since I was a kid ....NO MORE !!! It was around 6:40pm on October 4th 2017.. I approached a group of 7 employees at this location in the perfume section between Gucci and Hugo Boss. I counted 7 MACY'S EMPLOYEES! I had asked if anyone could help me with a payment for my Macy's credit card. Again, 7 employees!!! And they all stared at me in silence for a couple of seconds until some lady said "Honey, right over there against that wall they will help you with payments, exchanges, etc".... Now, I am not upset at the fact that I had to walk an extra few steps to make a payment. I am upset at the fact that there was 7 employees!! And NOT ONE was able to help me and the fact that you guys still looked at me like if I was stupid after asking if I was able to be helped!!? Not to mention there was a man standing right in front of me in a black tuxedo holding a sign who looked at me up and down and looked away. DO NOT EVER DISRESPECT NOR DISCRIMINATE A FUCKING CUSTOMER! I really hope you are not a supervisor or a manager because you have the poorest customer service that I have ever encountered! By the way, I made sure to catch one of the employees names her name is Vendora and she is in the perfume section-- it is very upsetting that these Macy's employees cannot help a customer with a payment because I want to assume since you are not getting anything out of it, such as commission, yet you will be more than happy to set someone up with a credit card. I just received excellent service from Erleen in the men's athletic shoe department. Though she was very busy Erleen graciously searched for a store that had the shoe size and color that I wanted. She then proceeded to call that store to verify whether they had the shoe I was interested in. Meanwhile she was waiting on other customers meeting their needs and she did this with a lot of energy and a smile. I wanted to thank Erleen for going above and beyond and providing superb service.
