A employee gave me a dirty look when I was going down the stairs with my puppy and friend

I needed help in the fine jewelry department, no associate was at the counter or the counters nearby, so I went to the next closest jewelry counter with 2 associates, and waited. And waited. And waited. I watched these 2 associates greet and assist every white customer that walked by. And completely ignore me. 2 more associates went to the fine jewelry counter where my grandmother was waiting and proceeded to window shop the jewelry in the case, on the clock. Never asked her if she needed help or even greeted her. This is not the first time I have been treated this way in this store. Because I am a younger and we are persons of color does not mean I cannot afford to purchase jewelry. It does not mean I am not worthy of being treated with the same respect and courtesy as white customers. I was angered and embarrassed that my grandmother and I were treated as less than human when simply trying to buy her something nice on her birthday. Shame on Macy's for allowing this horrible, disgusting behavior. This is clearly not a company that welcomes me or my wallet. read more

Macy's - Department Stores Near Me - Coral Springs, Florida

They lock you in the store with no store closing announcements. I had to walk around the entire store to get to my car way on the other side of the building two doors away. The doors should not be closed until all the customers have exit. I've never experienced this at any other Macy's, there was always someone at each door letting the last customers out. Someone should be at each door to ensure each customer leave the building where their comfortable. . I'm a female, and certainly didn't find it acceptable that the store (managers) I would imagine told me I had to walk all the way around the building because they already closed all the other doors, in addition to the fact that it was raining outside. What's even worst is they were both Females. Macy's have to ensure their employees safety at 9:00 pm, when it's dark outside. Customer's safety should also be of importance too when exiting the store. It's very disappointing that customer service and safety mean nothing to management here at this woman's Macy's. I feel so degraded and have no interest in shopping at this location ever again. read more

They have pretty much nothing in this macy's. The women and junior's section is seperated from the men and kids, like a whole other store. On top of all that, no real deals. And not a single person offered to help me. No one! And there was a lot of them. Don't waste your time coming here. read more

We went school shopping and bought sooo many clothes for my two teens. I cannot say enough nice things about Virginia in the teen clothing department in the Coral Square Mall!! She was so wonderful and patient. She stayed extra late ringing up all the clothes but handling with such care and not rushing! What an excellent staff member an asset Macy's is Lucky to have her!! Typically I am a happy Macy's shopper but today I had a very good experience at the kids section. I shopped yesterday and left my wallet at the counter. Since it was late when I realized I was unable to retrieve it or even inquire as the store closed at 9 pm. This morning it took me less than 5 minutes once the store opened to contact the right person and be assured of its safety. Jacklyn was kind enough to assure me as soon as approached and identified myself. I even had a warm hug with my wallet which was intact with cards and cash. Worst customer service ever at the MAC counter. Not one single person asked if I needed help. It was as if I was interrupting them from doing nothing. I wanted a MAC lipglass as a birthday treat for myself so made it a point to come here. Once someone finally helped me she pointed at another girl and said "she'll ring you up" and walked away. The other girl proceeded to take a phone call, have a conversation with another employee and clean makeup brushes while I stood there with my credit card in my hand ready to pay. Finally about 5 minutes later a 4th girl who actually apologized rang me up. Even as she said sorry the other two girls still in conversation ignored me. Never again. This is exactly why I prefer Nordstrom. Macys customer service is the pits. read more

06/18/2017 Good Evening! Your Policy and procedures and me as the customer. I was given a gift card for the Holiday 2016 and I used it to purchase a MICHAEL Michael Kors Fulton Moc Flats. I've noticed that on the top of the shoe have some sign of fraying and decided to return it because for $99.00 its quite expensive for a shoe to fall apart on the top of all places. In the Original box with no receipt the item was scan by the associate and found out that it's not in the system so she calls the Shoe Manager Mr. R.G. to get an approval. He looked at the shoes and said are you going to get another shoe and I said yes, I don't want the refund I will look for another shoe. He then said for me to go and look for the shoe and bring it back. He never once mentioned that I will not be getting full credit for what I paid for the shoes $99.00. I looked around and came back with 3 pairs of different footwear and now it another associate helping me and she proceeded to scan the returning shoe and then told me it's not in the system. I said that we just had the conversation with the store manager and he told me to look around for my replacement and bring it back to the register. I asked the associate to please call Mr. R.G.because we had an agreement that I will find the replacement and I will be on my way. Now, he has chosen not to come out from the back office and told the associate to give $29.50. The associate asked me to contact the individual to get a copy of her statement that verified the date of purchase. Now I am asked to tap into others personal purchase history. That is so wrong when you got a gift card to go on a shopping spree. Now, does everyone keeps their receipt? NO, and in this situation, he misleads me to believe that I was going to get what I paid for the item and proceed to purchase my new shoe. These shoes are still on the floor stand for the same $99.00. Mr. Roger Gonzales is misleading customers to believe that he will give full refund and unfortunately, it's not happening. Wear and tear takes place at the sole of the shoe not on the top. Even the professionals at the top level haven't contact me and I have reached out to them twice. These are situations that take place daily and I am sure this is not the first time. Please don't lead customers to believe that they are getting something and they are not. read more

A good place for average and a shade above, clothing, housewares, etc. If you watch for sales, there are some good deals to be had. Otherwise, you need to keep an eye on prices and quality. Hello Clinique, Visited March 31 to purchase foundation. Not a very friendly counter. I was looking for foundation was unsure of the color. The sales person acted like a order taker than a person in sales. At the end, she was annoyed at me since I was thinking about which one to buy. I had a great salesperson today in the "Home" department named Lori. I had been dreading having to return a big set of Queen size linens we had purchased prior to deciding to purchase a King new bed. But Lori was so nice and helped me return them without a receipt. Her manager looked everything up by the Macy's purchase tags on all of them. They were both very nice and helpful the entire time! I purchase a great new set of linens for our new King bed. They didn't have the matching shams so she found them on their website, got their order # and found them at another store and set them up to be shipped to our home for free and 10% off coupon! She went the extra steps to make the sale and a happy customer! It was so nice to have nice, knowledgeable customer service from everyone in that department. Thanks!! Macy's usually sucks with customer service. However I was in there yesterday buying a suit jacket and I had the best customer service I've ever had in any store. The salesman's name was Geno. I needed a jacket that matched my pants for a wedding I was going to and I had no idea what size I was. He looked me over for 5 seconds and went and got a jacket that was a perfect match color wise and fit perfect. THIS REVIEW IS SPECIFIC TO MY EXPERIENCE AT THE CLINIQUE COUNTER About an hour ago I arrived at the Clinique Counter inside Macy's in Coral Springs, FL. My intent was to return a foundation that I'd ordered online because the color was too deep (Ginger). I'd previously purchased a replacement (Cream Caramel) from Ulta before making my return at Macy's. When I arrived at the counter and stated my intent to make the return, I received a lukewarm response from the elder of the two Associates (71115670.) I advised her that I was returning due to a poor color match and asked if she had anything slightly lighter than the Cream Caramel, in which case I would exchange. After walking to the foundation counter, she responded with the following: "These are the only DARK colors we have." Then she proceeded to place the four deepest colors in the line on the counter when she should have been aware that they were all deeper than Cream Caramel. If I am standing in front of you bare faced and obviously a medium to medium deep complexion, what are you doing? I reiterated that Cream Caramel was in fact the closest to my complexion and I had no desire to go deeper she stated, "Well if you like it, that's fine." Then she walked back around the counter to check me out. When we arrive back at the register, the younger, pleasantly plump Associate decides now is a good time to tell me that in future they won't take back used product. I advised her that the product was not used. I received it in the mail, opened the box, placed a dot on my inner wrist to confirm it was too dark. I then put it back in the box and left it on my dresser till today when I returned it. Instead of agreeing or letting it go or otherwise indicating that the customer was ALWAYS right, she decides to loud talk me in the middle of Macy's. "Oh! It's VERY OBVIOUSLY been used!" Then continues with, "We're doing this for you as a courtesy THIS time." Associate 71115670 notices that I'm fighting to keep my composure because I'm obviously LIVID. She tries to deescalate the situation by telling me that Macy's policy has changed and using a calming tone because she realizes her fellow Associate just called me a Liar and is now acting like she's throwing me a bone. I was horrified and embarrassed. I've never been treated this way in a Macy's EVER. Aside from being upset, the reason I'm writing this is that as a business owner myself, I'd want to know if my Customer Service Reps were misrepresenting my brand. Growing up it was understood within the African American community that Clinique was not for women of color. Not only were our shades absent from the line but Associates also treated us like we were in the wrong place when we came for skin care products. When I saw that Clinique had expanded its line to include many shades for women of color I was ecstatic and couldn't wait to buy. When I tried Cream Caramel on at Ulta I was so pleased I told all of my friends. However, after my experience at the Clinique Counter in Macy's today, I am now second guessing my warm and fuzzy feeling about Clinique and my short-lived renewed confidence in the line. Went in to Macy's to return an item purchased with my debit card and was told I couldn't receive cash back because item was $270 but if it was $50 it wouldn't have been a problem. Offered my I.D. and debit card as proof besides the receipt and proof of purchase sticker on the tag of the item. The cashier Yolessys Belen refused to let me speak to a manager and told me that she spoke to 'security' I guess those are the tactics they use to intimidate their 'nonessential customers.' Very offended by her actions and the way she tried to be deceitful as if she wanted to help and to sum it up told me to have a blessed day (I doubt that was sincere)! Wow! read more

So disappointed in this location. Went here to purchase some new clothes for my husband for his upcoming birthday. The sales guy was nice and offered me some coupons but to use them I would purchase them now but couldn't pick up the clothing until the coupons went into affect which was ok since his birthday wasn't for a few weeks! Today I went in to pick up the clothing. I walked into the same cash register and employee that I checked out with and before I could finished a full sentence I said "I need to pick up..." And he cut me off and said upstairs. So ok I go upstairs and wait for the gentleman helping someone while another employee stood talking to someone about non work things. I could hear the conversation and they were just friends talking. I waited 10mins for the one employee to finish and then take one look at my receipt and tell me it's downstairs. I go back downstairs to the same guy, get my full sentence out and he's says "oh I thought you ordered online." He takes the receipt and sees it was him who even checked me out and went to get my purchase. 15mins later he comes back to me saying they don't have it! The only thing they can think of is that there was one other pre-purchase with the same pick up date and some employee gave my purchase to someone else!! He offered to return my items but I asked if he could find them on the floor for me. I then left for him to look and came back 15mins later to some girl to tell me they only had 3 out of the 4 items and they could refund me for the missing one! I didn't get any really apology from this girl whom I think was the manager and she just refunded and said "here, you're all set."..... Are you kidding me?!?! What kind of customer service is that?!? Not an apology, not understand your frustration, nothing! And I was quiet the whole time didn't raise my voice or anything! I also work in customer service and I'm a trainer and we make sure our employees and new hires always first and foremost CARE about our customers feelings even if there is nothing we can do!! Sue from Macy's Coral Springs at the Clinique station provided me the best/outstanding customer service. She really helped me after I received awful treatment from Macy's Broward Mall. I purchased a Clinique set that caused me to have an awful skin reaction on my face and on my hand from just using the product. Broward made no effort in helping me resolved my situation and cutt me off twice before I could explain what happend. In 5 minutes SUE help me resolved my situation and showed concern when she had seen my bad skin reaction. Macys Coral Springs is my new location. Thanks you SUE!!! read more

So today I have to rate the service I received at this Macy's the most unpleasant of my entire shopping experience at any Macy's in the us . Karen was anything but helpful and she clearly lacks the basic understanding of what customer service should entailed such as a greeting a customer with a smile or an acknowledgement of some kind , when problem arise offer to fix it instead of disregarding it . She refused to walk a couple sections over to get a price for an item without the tag . She was very adamant that it wasn't her department . So to clarify thAt she worked at Macy's I checked her name tag and yes there was a Macy's logo on her name tag so she should have been able to help a paying customer . And the worst part was she was training someone in her brand of AMAzing service !!!!! Omg !!!! This place will be a never repeat !!!!! Let me start off by saying that I am blind. This evening I went to this particular location to purchase cologne. The manager Mohammed was excellent with assisting me. We went and talked to the girl behind the counter named Ashley, who showed me various colognes. After finding the two I like the most, they got me on my way with excellent pricing. I didn't feel like a customer at this location, but more like a friend. I would deathly be going back to work with Mohammed and Ashley again. read more
