I went to this Macy's location, as it is the nearest to me, on my day off to find some jeans and dresses. After looking on my own to no avail, I asked one of the associates to help me find the Petites section. She informed me that this location has completely gotten rid of their petites section and sizes, as they "just didn't do very well." Soooo, no ladies 5'2 and under shop at a major department store in one of the most diverse cities in America? Awesome. Never walking into this location again. I would like to emphasize that the associate herself was extremely helpful and friendly, and even escorted me to where I might be able to find some pants close to my length (of which there were none). read more

1st is that I went in and asked about getting a shoe in my shoe size from the back to a sale associate. He insisted that he "thought" they didn't have it and he didn't want to check in the back and walked away. I had to flag down another sales associate who actually went in the back and found the shoe I asked for. ANOTHER thing is that I had a terrible experience after my interview with this Macy's. It was excellent on my part, I dressed nice, had a wonderful resume, and knew every answer to every question but then I got an email from the management saying there were absolutely no positions available to me. That's really snobby, especially considering that they had said that sales positions were available and needed in the store and that they were looking to do some hiring soon. read more

Went in this afternoon and The girls at the Estée Lauder counter are just rude, they were all literally sitting around(on boxes behind the counter ) and chit chatting when I asked one where I could find something and she with a snippy attitude she said that's Ralph Lauren we are ESTÉE LAUDER .... This review is actually for the Men's store. It's always a little odd to me that some Macy's have there own Men's Store but whatev. I usually really like Macy's for men's clothes, like the Macy's at the Westside Pavillion, but this location leaves something to be desired. They have A LOT of premium denim type brands, but I just wanted to get my hubby some, errr, more masculine clothes. They did have a HUGE amount of Levi's at great prices and that I loved. Overall friendly and helpful employees and great that it's open 30 minutes later than the rest of the mall. read more

Despite this location being at the far end of the Beverly Center (and thus most difficult to get to), the store is quite big with a very large Men's Store selection. Personally, I prefer the South Coast Plaza Macy's, which is nicer with the best selection of any Macy's. But this Macy's is probably the best Macy's option (at least for men's clothes) in Los Angeles. read more

I bought a gift card for $200 in 2010. I found out recently that it has been compromised. My mom tells me that it doesnt work. I drive to the bev center to get to the bottom of it. They show me the transaction histories & it has been used CLEAN! Purchases were made at Anaheim macys (Buffalo jeans, Nike). I'm like what the f*^&, my mom is a 60 yr old Korean lady who lives in LA. What would she be doing in Anaheim buy Buffalo jeans? I went to the cops & they said talk to the corporation. I emailed them but no answer. I'm not getting my hopes up. I found some great bargains on quality neckties. I purchased a MIchaelson's necktie which retails for $65 for $9.99 plus the salesperson gave me 20 percent off and I didn't even have a coupon. it came out to $7.99 plus tax. I also purchased a Susan G. Kolmen necktie for $9.99, it retails for $45. I have received many compliments from most of my neckties, especially the two that I have mentioned. I am very picky when it comes to purchasing merchandise but I have never had a problem at this store. read more

We are Gold level and actually like the store, but Macy's are chiselers. Online and at the store, they will cheat you. E.G. - Bought some nice Silverware as a gift. When we got it home and examined it before giving it as a gift, it had chips on it. We took it back to Macy's and they charged us $7 on the return. It had gone up in the two weeks between purchase and exchange and they charged us the difference. Bought a number of products online a few months ago and one of the purchases were double billed. No problem, right? Just call customer service and get it straight. Of course, customer service is in the Philippines where the person spoke English, but didn't seem to understand it. Or chiseling is part of the business plan. But they remove part of the second billing, but they said part of it was a promotion so they wouldn't remove that part. So, we have been unable to get that extra $10 double billing off the account and had to pay it for credit score sake. There have been a few other minor things like this, but always chiseling. Even though we like the products, we are having to find other places to deal with in the future. read more

Macy's mens has the worst customer service ever!! Extremely rude and unhelpful associates. Not sure if it is because of the location or what, but it seems that these associates are a little racist. They kept sending me from department to department because they did not know how to properly ring up a bundle of socks. I kept asking different associates for help and none were able to help me. It's very upsetting because I am a regular customer and have never had issues when it comes to being taken care of. Definitely will never shop at this location ever again!!! read more

This Macy's must get a lot of fraudulent activity, because it caused Chase to lock both my cards. The person that worked there told me it happens all the time at this location. WTF? To top it off, the salesman in the Men's department (Mark) is the absolute WORSE person I ever had to deal with. Rude, obnoxious and completely clueless. This store is never my favorite - always seems cramped, and I often have a hard time finding the gems in the racks, but there's occasionally a great deal. They've remodeled some of it, which makes it look a bit nicer, especially in the shoe department. They carry some higher end brands, but you do have to do the legwork of searching for items. My main complaint: I am not thrilled with the customer service over the phone. After attempting to place an order online, I found that I never received an order confirmation screen or email, so I have no idea if my order even went through. I called the Beverly Center store to see if my item was in stock, on the off chance that I could simply get the same price in person - I originally saw the item in the Beverly Center location earlier today, which is why I chose to call this store. I called twice - the first time, nobody in the department answered the phone and the call was sent back to the automated system. I opted to wait longer, and eventually, the call was picked up. The guy was nice enough, asked for the info for the item, and told me he would go check on it. My call was disconnected before he could return - the disconnection happened on Macy's end, because I heard the phone pick up and the background noise before it hung up. That call was over 7 minutes long. I called again, waited again, and spoke to a less-friendly rep, who told me he was assisting someone else in person, and that I'd have to wait 5 minutes. I opted again to wait. Cut to 15 minutes later - yes, FIFTEEEN - when I finally hung up. Overall Macy's FAIL. I have a gift card that I have to spend at Macy's, otherwise I would NOT be shopping here. read more

Purchased a Hotel Collection pillow top mattress in 2011. Less than 3 years later the mattress is sinking terribly in the middle. Very uncomfortable, had to spin the bed sideways so it wouldn't hurt my back. Me or my Fiancee are not large or heavy people. Spent $2500 on it plus extended coverage. Macys's sent out an inspector who measured the sinking WITH NO WEIGHT ON THE BED and deemed that it was not defective. Obviously a plush top matress will bounce back into shape with no weight on it. How can you test something when it is not in use? makes no sense. Never again macy's. You should back up the products and extended coverage you sell. read more

I am always surprised at the shocked reactions I get from people who compliment me on my clothes and I tell them I got them at Macy's. Believe it or not, Macy's has some of the best deals out there, and their clothes are always stylish, even the ones on the sale rack. They have so many items that they are constantly adding more to the sale racks, and the prices are amazing. I got a pair of name brand jeans, a top, a bathing suit, and a jacket for under $100 dollars, which is amazing when it comes to name brand clothes. the fitting rooms are comfortable and the mirrors are true to what you actually look like, and there is just a comfortable vibe throughout the entire store. So I'm leaving Macy's very humiliated and very embarrassed at the fact that I wasnt able to return a dress that I bought yesterday. It's a formal dress that was dirty at the bottom when I bought it. So of course I come back the next day to return it and they tell me they won't take it because it's dirty at the bottom. The biggest issue I have with Lupe The sales representative is that I feel like she sized me up as soon as she saw me. She looked at the garment and then looked at me up-and-down again and then said I have to ask my manager if we can return this. She went back to the manager for quite some time and never brought the manager back to the front. She says that the manager said based on her word that the dress was dirty and they wouldn't do the return. Does she think I'm stupid? What the hell kind of customer service is that? At the very least the manager could've came out himself and told me that he or she decided that the dress was and returnable. But I highly doubt that Lupe even got the OK from the manager. I feel she sized me up and assumed I was one of those trifling people who buys clothes wears them and return them, and SHE made the decision to not allow the return. read more
