It's really annoying that the men's store is all the way on the ground level while the women's section and everything else is on level five and six on the opposite end of the mall. As other people have stated, the staff here is very very rude and have no customer service skills at all. My boyfriend and I were looking at the engagement rings and the lady did not let me try on any of the rings because it was "their policy". It makes me wonder if they have gotten their jewelry stolen before because it seems like a ridiculous policy to not let somebody try on a ring before purchasing it. Instead she just placed it on her finger and said "there you can see it like that." When I told her the other Macy's let me try on the rings and even take a picture of the rings, she said they must have a different policy... I guess you should stop by here if you're already in the mall and need to visit a Macy's, but don't expect good customer service. read more

DO NOT TAKE LARGE BILLS! Macy's has fake money!!!! This review is for Macy's polo. My husband went to return a shirt. The total was $131.00. The cashier gave him a fake hundred dollar bill. When he asked for change. He ignored him and ran off acting busy. He asked another cashier to assist him. Told him the hundred is fake once he ran it through the machine. Deandre the supposive manger told him there's nothing they can do, encouraged him to take the fake hundred and leave the store. What employee encourages customer to commit a crime. And encourage their employees to give a fake large bill. Pat the manager encouraged it as well, and there was nothing they can do. if you are a fatty like me, do not bother coming here for the big girl's department. the selection is minimal and what they do have is atrocious. i was super bummed out fighting the parking and elevator insanity that is beverly center only to find absolutely nothing. so sad. read more

This is one of my favorite Macy's to do any caliber of shopping in! Most of the ladies in apparel are sweet and helpful, with a few exceptions in your Business Casual department. This place is always clean and easy to navigate and their cosmetic & fragrance counters are luminous. I will definitely keep coming back here. read more

So I'm leaving Macy's very humiliated and very embarrassed at the fact that I wasnt able to return a dress that I bought yesterday. It's a formal dress that was dirty at the bottom when I bought it. So of course I come back the next day to return it and they tell me they won't take it because it's dirty at the bottom. The biggest issue I have with Lupe The sales representative is that I feel like she sized me up as soon as she saw me. She looked at the garment and then looked at me up-and-down again and then said I have to ask my manager if we can return this. She went back to the manager for quite some time and never brought the manager back to the front. She says that the manager said based on her word that the dress was dirty and they wouldn't do the return. Does she think I'm stupid? What the hell kind of customer service is that? At the very least the manager could've came out himself and told me that he or she decided that the dress was and returnable. But I highly doubt that Lupe even got the OK from the manager. I feel she sized me up and assumed I was one of those trifling people who buys clothes wears them and return them, and SHE made the decision to not allow the return. read more

Wonderful service at Macy's in the men's department. I was looking for a gift for a family member today, and as a woman looking through the men's department, it's not an easy task. Luckily the store was well organized and clean. I found the perfect items in little to no time with great sales going on around the entire department. I was helped by a lovely salesclerk named Breonna. She was helpful, attentive and witty. Most people you encounter working in retail will do the basic "hello, how are you," but Breonna went above and beyond and truly made my in-store experience much better and easier. read more

I wanted to buy a gift & without even checking, I was told they don't have the item. Do they think I'm blind? She pretended to be checking. I love their gift with purchase, clinique is the best. You absolutely can not beat their one day sales, sometimes up to 50% off and if you call ahead of time, they will reserve what you want to purchase and let you purchase it later if you can not make it during the specified sale hours. This Macys needs to get their act together. First off, every time I try to call the store specifically the women's department, no one answers. Then when I go there, I tried to order a shirt in a different size that they didn't have in the store, and the male sales associate had no idea what he was doing. Charged my credit card twice by accident and without the 25% coupon I had, and was just clueless as to what to do. I got so frustrated waiting for 45 minutes for him to just place an order that I walked out and left very upset. Never will be returning to this women's department again until they properly train employees on how to do basic transactions and are adequately knowledgeable on what to do. read more

We had an excellent experience in the men's department at this Macy's. I haven't visited the rest of the store in years, so this review is only for the men's department, specifically suits/tuxedos. My SO purchased a beautiful Calvin Klein tuxedo on a great sale at the Macy's at the South Bay Galleria back in August. We were in a rush during the day he bought it so he didn't try it on and then just shoved it into the back of his closet for a month and a half. When he finally put it on, he discovered it was about one and a half sizes too small. The half we could alter for, but the one size we couldn't. We went to our local Macy's in a panic, and the salesman there looked up the tuxedo in their system and told us that the store at the Beverly Center had three in stock. Off we went. Once we got there, my SO had the right size tuxedo in hand and the even exchange complete within fifteen minutes. The sales associate was very helpful, professional, and quick. read more

I had such a great experience at Macy's today! My personal stylist was Staci and she was fantastic! I emailed her prior to coming in with my measurements and what I was looking for. When I arrived she had several outfits waiting for me. She was so kind and patient and would give me her honest opinion on how the clothes fit my body. For the next hour and a half I tried on clothes and Staci would find the perfect match or the best size for me. She chose things that I would not choose for myself and I loved it! She really understand my shape and style from the moment I arrived! When she went to ring me up she did everything she could to get me THE best discounts!! For the first time, in a very long time, I walked out with clothing that I love and I know I will wear! The service is free. Why shop any other way! read more

Like Abercrombie and Finch.......Macys Beverly Center Men's Store has decided to only sell suits to "slim and fit." There are no suits generally 48 and above. Only problem is that last night, a Friday night, I was the only person looking at suits at 6 pm in the entire department. No apologies from the department manager, he confirmed that Macy's at that location is only interested in Slim/fit customers. Let's see how long that lasts. read more

I was in the shoe department. The girl that helped me disappeared so I asked Randall to help me. He told me that they are paid on commission. Since I saw that other girl first, he couldn't help me. She essentially put dibs on me. He was asking me for the physical description of the girl. i couldn't remember! I saw her once on the go. Are you kidding me? I just need a shoe pulled and the store was empty of customers. It would have taken less time to get that shoe than giving me their commission information and collecting my profiling data. If you have patience, they have a different selection than Nordstrom or Bloomies. However, almost everything was out of stock. Ugh. Change their commission Macy's so a customer can buy shoes. I ended up finding what I liked and ordered from Zappos. read more

When the sales person in Jewelry did not want to take a gift back because the little sticker was not on it Ziba in Handbags got on the computer and looked it up She went out of her way and she isn't even in the Jewelry department. One of the worst big retail shopping experiences. Why doesn't this store train their sales staff? Walking through the other day, on my way to housewares, I saw a dress, in just the size and color I wanted. Perfect, I thought. I didn't come to the store for me, but there it was. Macy's scored an impulse buy at my expense. Now, to pay for it. Ah, there's a register and there is only one customer ahead of me. I looks like they are done, and no...wait a moment, the customer pulls out her coupons, the transaction is cancelled, and they start again. This woman has a heap of clothes. I look for another register, but guess what? At this counter, I can hear them discussing which coupons to use. The sales person is ringing up each item with separate coupons to see how to get the cheapest price. At the third and last register, the scenario was playing out again. At no register did the salesperson ever look up to acknowledge I was there, no one uttered a "I'll be with you in a moment." When I asked if there was another person who could help at the register, the woman looked at me as if I has insulted her. Why can't Macy's train their staff so they know the stock, prices and coupons so that checkout doesn't take 15 minutes. Why can't they tell that them that a small acknowledgement of their customer's existence goes a long way. Why can't they have enough people working to facilitate check-out? This experience isn't the first time this has happened to me. Nor the second or third. It takes a lot to make a bad impression on me, but they've succeeded. This isn't a fluke, it's their business model. After 15-minutes of sheep-like behavior, I put down the dress and left the store (without going to housewares to make the purchase that first brought me to the store). On my way out, I passed the first register and saw the same woman still checking out. I shouldn't have to work so hard to give away my money. Maybe I should thank Macy's for saving me $150 (and no coupons!). read more

I had the most fantastic experience at Macy's with the "my Stylist" appointment. I don't know how I never heard about this before. This very helpful girl named Jade pulled dresses for me before I got there. She had accessories to compliment the dresses and she pulled more dresses once she saw what looked good on me. She was patient and had excellent taste. I definitely recommend this FREE service. read more

Tried to use my gift card at Macy's and they would not honor it. They told me it had been "compromised". I had checked the balance earlier that day and it confirmed I still had $200. No one at the Macy's would help me, and no one on the phone at "customer service" would help me. Oh, and that number on the back of the gift card? An answering machine where no one EVER calls you back! I even have receipts to prove the card is mine! Macys is a scam and they are stealing my $200! read more

I ordered online a shipment from Macy's to come to my house. After a week of not receiving it, I checked online and noticed it was shipped to the wrong address and wrong person. I called Macy's they said it will be corrected immediately. That did not happen. I called Macy's a few days later wondering where my package was. They said sorry, let me credit your account resend the shipment with a large discount and express mail that I should receive in 2 days. 4 days later, no package. I called Macy's again. They had partially credited my account, did not send out the shipment and said sorry and that was it. A completely frustrating experience and a waste of my time! read more

Great men's dept. Right on street level so you don't even have to go into the mall. Good variety of brands and they have good sales. In fact the sales are mostly when I go to buy stuff and stock up. Suit dept has good variety of sizes. Salespeople are not too pushy. read more

I have been to the store numerous times and walked out without what I was there to purchase because I couldn't find sales staff on the floor. Today I phoned to find out if the sales was through tomorrow or Memorial Day. The operator did not know, they transferred to a department where no one answered. I went back to the operator, was transferred again and kept on hold for 11 minutes. I finally gave up. read more

I went to the Westside Paviliion Macy's to return an item I purchased. It was in the lingerie dept. I waited for the salesperson Lora to finish up with other customers patiently. I handed her my item, it was boxed and plastic was still attached to the garment/bra, I had the receipt. It was within the time frame to return. While I was waiting, a salesperson interrupted her with a customer asking whether she could return an item that looked like it was worn/spanks and she quickly said yes. She looked at my box and said it could not be returned. I told her that no where did it say final sale but she said the saleperson was suppose to tell me. I told her that the receipt does not say anything about no return. I told her I wanted to speak to a manager. She called the manager and within a few second she told me all of the managers were in a meeting and that she could not do anything and then walked away. I was so angry because I knew what she was doing was wrong. So I looked for another register and waited in line while another person was doing a return. I calmly handed her my item and said I would like to do a return and I handed my receipt to her and she did the return with no problem. I don't know what was wrong with Lora but some people just want to give others a hard time:( read more
