This Macy's was much more than the one near my home in Ventura county. The only clerk that even bothered to try to help me was the lovely lady at the Shisedo counter and she was busy with someone else giving them a facial. All the other ladies at the make up and fragrance counters just ignored me. The store is large with a huge inventory. Clean and well organized. I am impressed! The Macy's Men's Store has so much more designer stuff than the rest of the Macy's I've been to and the stuff is NICE! I guess the same goes for the women's clothing, but the catch is, they carry a lot more smaller sizes here than other stores -- not good for me since I'm not a "small". The dressing rooms are also much nicer than the regular ole Macy's in the suburbs and they are laid out in an open fashion rather than go down the hallway and there are a bunch of stalls. Some of the staff are a bit snooty though, but I don't care when the merchandise is so much nicer. read more

On my very short visit to LA, I was able to go to this Macy's. Strapped for time in my way back to the airport, I was super impressed with the service I received from 3 amazing associates there: Giselle from Dior, Laboni from Trend Beaty, and Elizabeth from Perricone MD. First of all in this time of days, everybody should be appreciated just for showing up to work......but these ladies really went above and beyond to show the great products they are selling. This store has great pricing when it comes to household goods and shoes. I always make a point to check here before anywhere else because they always have sales. Located I the Beverly center where there is always parking. I can always find a nice spot right near the elevators. It is my favorite Macy's in the area. It is much bigger than the one in the Westside Pavilion or the Century City Mall. There are three floors. The bottom two are mainly women's, and the top floor is home. There is a separate smaller men's store at the street level. The staff is very helpful especially in the home department. They know their products especially when I was looking for a good set of pots and pans. They know how to care and maintain the products even if the instructions say otherwise. I'm glad their knowledgeable because I don't want to be disappointed after spending a lot of money on a bad product. The lady even told me which products aren't good because they received lots of returns. The shoes sales people are not overly pushy and claiming you as soon as you walk in. They are nice and friendly. They do no bombard you with annoyingly overly courteous questions in order to reach their daily shoe commission. They give your space and are within a good distance when you are ready for your size. This Macy's does have a great selection of shoes of various brands. So when they do have the big shoe sale, I know I'm in trouble. It's neat and organized. read more

This one (and the one at Fashion Island in Newport Beach) are my favorite Macy's locations. I'm strictly talking about the variety of clothing, not the friendliness of the employees. The employees may be OK, but I'd expect them to be kind of smug in these locations, which they shouldn't be, but it's like expecting the salespeople on Rodeo Drive to be extremely hospitable and welcoming. I've had very bad experiences at Macy's overall, but at least in this location at least everyone has a good attitude and presentable and in a was classier than the one in San Francisco(UnionSquare) which I strongly do not recommend. Probably the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. They are almost always absent in the store. They never pick up the phone. You have to wait ages for a cashier. You have to wait ages for your questions to be answered. The only exception is the Persian guy who works in the suit section. This is coming from someone who rarely cares about customer service. Worst costumer service for the Macy's ever! I bought kitchen supplies like pots and pans online on Black Friday. I moved to a new place, I got a lot of house warming gifts as pots and pans so I no longer need the ones I bought online. I went to Macy's to return but this man behind the register was rude for no reason. (He might get jealous of my friend he thought I was dating with or something I guess) he asked me the reason for return and I said I had a lot of house warming gifts so I don't need them. I tried for 15 minutes, walked around to different areas then found someone but she said she was not a part of that section and she was by herself on the floor. Fitting rooms were overflowing with clothing needing to be returned. I put my stock down and left. Shoe department sales staff were unfriendly and talking about the poor quality of the shoes. A very scary looking woman with entirely too much clown-like makeup (trying to sell cosmetics) is almost yelling at me. I met an associate, Farzin, who not only helped me pick out some quality items, but imparted some great wisdom on how to coordinate my wardrobe. I now know how to dress like a complete boss. I came here with my mother to find her shade for makeup at the shiseido station and I was helped by some old lady with a very authoritative attitude. She was kind of a know it all and scolded me for preferring not to have a certain product, that they didn't have on stock, delivered to my house. I think they shouldn't act so bitchy for the customer choosing what they want to do. I didn't like her so I asked for help from someone else and the previous lady who helped seemed offended. This is my go to store when I need a suit for work. I walk in there twice a month to look for deals. For the most part, I always find a good deal. Whether it's 20% off or buy one get one, it's always worth it. Little tip, if you go there you can always ask for samples from the fragrant department, they are always willing to give a few samples even if you don't end up buying. There is cheap parking at the Beverly center and a plethora of other shops close by. If you don't find what you need you can always try Bloomingdales on the 6th floor, or at Nordstrom's rack across the street at the Beverly connection. I used to love shopping at Macy's in store and online. NO MORE!!! I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH THEM!!! I AM CANCELLING MY MACY'S CARD! This is what happened... In August 2018 I bought some items at Macys.com but never received them. When I got my bill in September 2018 I called Macy's and told them I never received the items that totaled $72.23 and to take off the charge. I spoke to Sharon and she said she will take off the full charge. I believed her (why would I not believe her?). Then I got a bill in October 2018 with the original balance $72.23 (which was supposed to be credited) PLUS a late fee of $29.00. I called Macy's again, for the 2nd time, and told them what happened again, and again, they promised me that the charge PLUS the late fee would be reversed. I asked for a confirmation number and they said they couldn't give me one. But they ASSURED me that it would be zeroed out. Again, I believed them. Then in November 2018 the original $72.23 was credited (yay) but now there was a LATE FEE of $40.00 ADDED to the original LATE FEE of $29.00, so now my balance was $69.00. AGAIN I called and this time I asked to speak to a SUPERVISOR. They said they reversed the LATE FEES and there would be a ZERO balance within 24-48 hours. Well, guess what, I received ANOTHER bill in December 2018 with the same $69.00 balance PAST DUE!!!!! Now I called AMERICAN EXPRESS, because it is a Macy's card with American Express, and asked to speak to a supervisor to settle this DISPUTE. I spoke to Christina for a minute then was DISCONNECTED, and when I called American Express back, I was transferred to Macy's! AGGGGGGGGHHHHHH! So I spoke to the supervisor at Macy's and this time I wasn't so nice because this is RIDICULOUS, when each time the person said they were zeroing out my balance and they promised me, that wasn't the case!!! This supervisor was Caroline ID # 9117085 and she again PROMISED me that it was zeroed out AND I told her to CLOSE OUT AND CANCEL my card. She said she couldn't send me a confirmation number but she would send me a confirmation letter. Again, guess what... NO CONFIRMATION LETTER AND ANOTHER BILL CAME IN JANUARY 2019 !! Now my balance is $80.00!!!! WTF?????? Once again I tried to speak to a supervisor at AMERICAN EXPRESS, but the lady on the phone wouldn't transfer me without an AMERICAN EXPRESS card number, so I called Macy's AGAIN today 1/5/19 and spoke to a supervisor Darlene DLosAngeles ID #91121464 and she promised me AGAIN that my balance would be zeroed out and I can check my account in 48 hours. And friends and family.....please don't ever buy me gifts at this TERRIBLE store again! Labor Day 2014, I walked in as I normally do to take advantage of the sale they normally have. I was in the Men's Store and began my shopping, part of my shopping included cologne so I made my way to that counter and asked for my brand of cologne that I have been buying here for 20 years called "212". As soon as I stepped up to the counter I asked the employee for a bottle and he informed me they no longer carry it. "Ok" I said, then I asked for the second band of choice....."Sorry", he said. We don't carry that either. And by looking around, I saw that they stopped carrying my third brand of choice as well. Very strange I thought, but so be it. Before I walked away from the counted I glanced down at the tray full of cologne testers and LO and BEHOLD guess what I saw? A tester bottle of "212"! I then asked the employee about the tester bottle and why they had it out if they NO LONGER sell that cologne? He said it was left over from before. Ok, I can understand that, that makes partial sense. So I lifted the bottle up started shaking it, it was half full. So I asked the employee if I could BUY the tester bottle for half price? He said, "No". Typical response I expected from an unfriendly employee. "Why Not"?, I asked. He told me it's not for sale. I then said since I am a valued customer here for over 20 years, a Macy's Card holder, and shopping here today, why don't you just GIVE me the bottle then since you no longer sell it? You would be doing both of us a favor so the next customer that comes around doesn't see it and ask for it. He said, "No". I then asked for the manager. It was perfect timing as the female manager dressed in a stiff suit walked up behind me and asked what the problem was. I explained to her the situation and that I am offering to purchase what is left in the tester bottle of cologne. She immediately sided with the employee and stated that the tester was NOT for sale, even though they NO LONGER carry that brand in the store. So I asked why they would have a tester bottle on display for something they no longer carry, she didn't have any answer. (By the way they had a tester bottle out for my second choice of cologne that they no longer sell either) So since they wouldn't sell it to me or give it to me, I asked the logical question. "What are you guys going to do with the tester bottle"? She said send it back to Macy's OR destroy it. Ba, Ha, HA,HA,HA!!! Come on! We BOTH know, or all 3 of us know, you are NOT going to ship this open bottle BACK to CORPORATE! And seriously.....DESTROY it? What is it, an illegal firearm?? Come on! She just sat there with that STUPID corporate grin. I then asked to speak to HER supervisor. She said ok, and walked away. Moments later, as if I couldn't have guessed, she told me her supervisor was TOO BUSY to come out! Yeah, great customer service! I am sure her supervisor wasn't too busy, it was more like she walked back there (If she even did) and in a jaded manner, told her supervisor the situation. When she returned with the predicted news, I then told I will NEVER shop here again and discourage others from coming here as well. This review is specifically for two of the coolest customer service reps around. Maya and Marco were working the Lancome counter at this here Bev Center counter and were above and beyond helpful, friendly and awesome! Not only did they make several trips to their stock room to try and hunt down a sadly, now discontinued product, but they gave me free samples of the remaining product to last me til I was able to track some down. They also helped me find an eye shadow from a promotional sample I had and really made the entire potentially frustrating (due to the products being out of stock) experience a pleasure. I left smiling and I would make the trip back to them in the future because yes, they were that cool! read more

Great place to find deals on Saturday as it seems Sunday the sales are not as big. Came here just after my Ben Sherman shopping and picked up some cute Armani bikini for 9.45 on sale from $26! The store is very well laid out and never seems too packed due to the size. The selection from suits to underwear has to be the widest of any Macy's I have seen. This review is about the CHANEL counter. The Asian representative at the CHANEL counter is very rude and disrespectful. And this is why.. Unfortunately i had bought the wrong moisturizer and I needed to exchange it for the right one so I go up to the counter and asked to exchange it and the woman there asked me a thousand questions on why I wanted to exchange it! She was smelling the product and comparing it to the sample pieces they had on display for some reason, although I told her that I didn't use the product. After a few long minutes she decides to exchange it for the one I wanted and which I didn't mind paying more. She's finishing the transaction and as she hands me the shopping bag says " Next time make sure you pick the right product? And if need to make a return make sure it's at the location you originally bought it at, it's only fair". I couldn't believe she made that comment and suggested I do something that is not required by the company policy! read more

I went to return some items that I had ordered through Macy's online a couple of weeks ago while I was out of town. I had requested expedited shipping, to be received in 1-2 days, so that I could have them for an upcoming trip. Long story short, they did not arrive in time. This may have been due to the fact that the security call box at my apartment was not functioning properly, or UPS wasn't given my contact phone number by Macy's online so he/she was not able to call me when unable to gain entry. Regardless, I actually went into the store to make some purchases of similar items the day before my departure. The delivery was completed while I was away on my trip, of course. When I returned I took the entire package in to the store to return and be credited back. (Never opened the package as they items had been replaced with my in-store purchase.) While going through the process I asked the sales associate if anything could be done about the extra $20 shipping charge I paid. She immediately called a manager who approved the credit back of the shipping charge as well! I was very pleased she was so considerate. I wasn't expecting this at all and really appreciate the good service. I won't hesitate to order online again since the local Macy's is so readily available to back-up purchases and returns online. read more

This is a very nice macy inside the beverely center mall. something i don't get is the mens and women's dept is section very weird and far away. The mens is in a basement and i had a hard time to finding it and almost gave up. the elevator is behind the cafe inside the middle of the mall. i finally found it and went there and it was nice. everything is section off and organized and each brand name is section off in each area. while i was shopping at the mens section i had overheard the security guards talking about how they need to stand near the exit doors to the streets because they had an incident where the teenagers come in here and grab stuff and run out of the door. to me it seem kind of ghetto or unsafe in the mens dept compared to the women's macy dept. the women's section is organized and more fancier and better looking than the mens section. the decor and lighting in the women's macy looks more upscale like nordstrom. i had people approaching me and asking me if i need help. the women's macy dept is located in the mall on each level i believe 3 floors if i remember correctly. overall i enjoyed this shopping experience and will be back when i come to visit LA. read more

Atrocious customer service. What the hell is going on here?? Came in to look at and purchase a Movado watch. Stood at the case, very patiently, for about 10 minutes. Then I asked if someone could help me to which I was answered, "we're busy". No "we'll be right with you" - nope. Just, "we're busy". Well that's great... I asked to see a supervisor. I waited another 8 minutes or so for that. A "supervisor" showed up, telling me that someone would be right with me. That's just as bad as the associate letting me know that she and the other associate were "busy". Supervisor was totally unhelpful - what a waste of my time. The supervisor was supposed to show up to open the case, but wait, he didn't have a key. You would think he could walk over to an associate and get the key, but of course not. I look forward to containing upper management about this. I thought Macy's was all about a shopping experience and providing customer service. What a disgrace. read more

I was directed to come to this particular Macy's from their Fox Hills store because they were supposed to have the best Women's Dept on the Westside; especially for dressy clothes for a holiday party - NOT!!! This review is for the Men's Store only, on the ground level of the Beverly Center. This is an excellent store with a huge selection, much larger than other Macy's men's departments. There's generally good staff around to help out. And best of all, there are often REALLY good deals to be had... sometimes in the form of advertised sales, but other times merchandise will just ring up at a lower price than posted. I was trying to get my mom shoes for her Christmas present. And yes, we went on a Saturday night which was busy. But it wasn't THAT busy in the women's shoe section. First, a lady helped me but after she got one size for us, she disappeared on us. Then no one seemed to want to help me but eventually an older man helped us. Afterwards, we went to the cash register the two people were bickering over who was going to ring me up. Rude. You should not be fighting over this in front of a customer and putting me on the spot. The woman said "DID I NOT HELP YOU FIRST?" and i said... um yes you did. So she said "Problem solved, this one's mine" to her co-worker. So unprofessional.
