$50 raincoat ringing up at $75
    Lexy M.

Almost got scammed by Macy's! Was checking out with a $50 Columbia rain jacket but when the cashier rung it up it said $75. She didn't mention anything or acknowledge the discrepancy. I said the tag said $50, is there a reason it's ringing up as $75? She indicated that perhaps the color impacted the price but that this jacket is $75. I left and came back with multiple other raincoats of various colors all listed at $50 and another employee rang them up and they also were coming up as $75, however this employee was more receptive to helping rectify the price error. She had to get approval from the original cashier who immediately said she could adjust the price. I found that very interesting when she gave me such a hard time with it where I literally had to go bring proof for her. It's extremely dishonest that the first woman checking me out scanned a $50 tag and saw it ring up as $75 then continued to tell me to go ahead and tap my card to pay. In fact, it's illegal to charge a higher price than is listed on an item. Macy's was trying to scam an extra 50% out of me. This is a reportable offense so I'd love to see if and how quickly Macy's rectifies this. If I walked into this same store in a week and tried to buy the same $50 item I'm very curious to see if it would ring up at $75 again or if they've fixed the issue.

I love me some MACY'S!!! We shopped ..we left with matching hoodies...Unfortunately they were closing so we only spend about 45 minutes there..(good thing ..I could have done some damage in there..lol) Everyone was super friendly ..beautiful store (one of my favorites) Lots of selection and they went in back to get us the right size...a little pricy ..but it's Macys

    Thank you
    Linda H.

Employees in the women's dept are rude, no wonder it's always empty, selection is good cause no one shops there.

Do they offer tailoring at this location?

They do not. They said South Coast Plaza is the nearest location that does.

We come to this location whenever my husband needs nice jackets, sports coats, or business attire…read more This weekend we specifically came in to shop for sports coats for upcoming business trips, and we actually ended up purchasing even more because of the great deals available. The main reason we continue coming back to this store is because of Chris. He previously helped my husband and my dad with suits for our son's wedding, and ever since then we always look for him when we visit. My husband is 6'7", so finding the right sizes and fit can be difficult, but Chris is always incredibly helpful, creative, patient, and friendly. He truly provides outstanding customer service. During this visit, while I was walking around the store, I overheard two employees talking about Chris and saying he needed to stay at the register instead of helping customers on the floor. Honestly, that was disappointing to hear because Chris is the one employee who is approachable and genuinely engaged with customers. The rest of the staff often seem inexperienced, unwelcoming, or simply fail to acknowledge customers altogether. We also learned there have been some organizational changes requiring employees to remain behind the registers. With all due respect, employees like Chris should not be restricted from helping customers on the sales floor. He is the reason loyal customers like us continue returning to this location. Otherwise, we would honestly drive to the Inland Empire location just to work with Hamid again, whom we also miss at the Mission Viejo store. While we were checking out, two additional customers were standing there waiting for quite some time without assistance or even acknowledgment. One customer repeatedly asked for help just to complete payment. Honestly, I would have walked out. A simple greeting, acknowledgment, or smile goes a very long way, even during busy times. My feedback would be: * Allow strong customer service employees like Chris to continue helping regular customers on the floor. * Provide additional customer service training to employees. * Encourage staff to be more approachable, friendly, and attentive to customers. Most importantly, we will continue to give high praise to Chris. He represents what great customer service should look like, and quite frankly, some of the staff could learn from him. He would make an excellent manager.

Josh has been there a while and provided excellent service to me. After renting a Tux here last month I wanted to buy the great fitting Tux shirt that came with it because it fit so well. This shirt was in high demand and low supply and the only store with stock was Mission Viejo. Josh and another consultant I did not get his name were able to locate one in my exact size in the back and made it happen!

Every time I go, the customer service feels off. It's like someone doodood in their cereal before their shift . The employees always seem like they don't want to be there, and whenever I ask for help, I'll get an eye roll or a rude attitude. I completely understand that everyone has bad days and I'm not judging anyone for that, but when it happens EVERY single time I go, it becomes noticeable and really takes away from the experience. They could at least fake a smile or make an effort to be welcoming. If you want to shop at Hollister, I'd honestly recommend going to the Spectrum location or somewhere else instead.

They have most of the usual shops and eateries that you will find in most malls, but they do have a rather large food court with some unique fast restaurants like Oniguro, dizzy bird, and the Paradise bakery and café. We had a small breakfast there. They have a large Dick's Sporting Goods, Apple store, and a Tesla showroom. The main restaurants were the Cheesecake Factory, Sessions, PF Changs, and Islands. We had a late lunch at Islands. They are also expanding a large outdoor area I believe. This mall is extremely clean, all the stores were open, and it had a very nice modern feel to it. I really enjoyed our stay here and will come back. Parking is easy and the mall was not super crowded, especially for a Saturday.
