Apparently Windsor is considered another "fast-fashion" type of teen and women's apparel store that sells some everyday clothing as well as a pretty decent selection of special occasion dresses for proms, homecoming, and weddings. They had many options, and were definitely more affordable and offered more options than shopping for a dress at Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus. Macy's actually offered quite a bit of options, but my daughter just didn't find the right style or color that suited the theme that she was going for. (There were a lot of floral options at the other stores that just weren't dressy enough.) So she ended up choosing a beautiful beaded light yellow long dress from Windsor. It was reasonably priced for a dress she will probably only wear once (twice, if we're lucky). The only problem with getting a dress at this type of store is that we found another girl wearing the exact same dress at their prom. I also noticed other duplicates at the picture taking event of other dresses I had recognized from the same store. I guess it's the "one" go to store for proms! Lol! read more

It's been a very long time since I had to shop here. Being that I now have daughters who need dresses like the ones offered at this shop, I've started buying here for those occasions. It's such a sweet moment to be dress shopping with my kids now. Me being the mom. I remember shopping with my mom those many years ago. I find myself always telling them not to judge something on the hanger but to always try it on first. Something my mom used to always tell me. She was so right. Windsor has some very nice dresses, some with not so nice material, but we were happy with selection for the most part. Dresses can be formal while others can go either way depending on the shoes. They also carry different type bras for the kinds of dresses that are difficult to wear a bra with, dressy shoes, accessories and costume jewelry. I usually start off at Macy's women before coming here so I can at least have comparable styles and prices in my head. Customer service is ok. I haven't really had anyone greet me. Once in a while someone asks if I need assistance. I can tell you though that when we are paying, the staff are friendly and make sure to say thank you for my purchase. I recently had to pick up a few items for an upcoming event that I need desperately so I visited the Windsor store in the Mission Viejo mall ( Shops At Mission Viejo). The salesperson named Nelli was super friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. She took the time to explain what items would work well together and gave me several sizes to try on to help me with my decision. This place also has the latest fashions and boutiques for women. She picked out some outfits she wanted, and that was cool. We got a nice warm welcome greeting here. So, nobody was rude to us. Great store and filled with options! I stopped in yesterday for the first time in YEARS! The last time I recall shopping at Windsor was for my Winter Formal back in 2007! I was surprised and excited to see that they were NOT just a dress store anymore! They had so many cute outfits with so many different and fun patterns! After about 30 minutes of browsing, I found a simple but trendy top and an adorable summer dress. I headed to the register and was helped by Emily. Wow! This store is like fantasy island for girly girls! I just dropped 700$ and is totally worth every penny. I'm a bigger girl too and I was prepared to be let down in the waiting room but there bigger sizes fit me! And for customer service these 2 young women, Leticia and Kayla were able to handle the whole store by themselves. There was like 20 people in there at once and they handled it all with grace and poise. Also Leticia made everyone feel noticed who was waiting in line and assured they would be seen too. Crystal was a complete gem (no pun intended) -- I saw a hat on the display shelf that was approximately 11ft high and that was the only one. I wanted to hold the hat and try it on, Crystal gathered a step ladder and a reach tool and spent tons of energy reaching the hat to bring it down for me. This task was not easy, I told her nvm multiple times. However, Crystal was determined. Regardless if the hat was what I wanted, after her dedication, I had to purchase it!! I will NEVER NEVER EVER go back to the Mission Viejo mall location! Malorie is the most unprofessional individual to manage a store that I have ever encountered. Malories rude behavior, bad use of language, and her management skills in a given situation have gotten the company not just one less customer but three. I will never return to this location strictly because of how Malorie handles things. She should not only be released of a position that she is not qualified for, the hiring manager should also be questioned about her judge of character when it comes to the face of the store. I am utterly appalled at the situation. It was so bad and unprofessional I will go on to write a published article about the Mission Windsor experience. In the same day I visited 3 other Windsor's in different counties and got amazing customer service. The other stores even apologized for Malories behavior and actions (which was exposed on speaker phone) and went above and beyond to make sure my horrible experience was overpowered by great service. Send Mission Viejo employees back to training or how about hire employees who give a shit about how the company is perceived. The attendant was super helpful in helping me and my friend find cute dresses and outfits for our vacation. Really great at picking out styles, getting sizes, great service! The heels she recommended were awful though!!! They literally damaged our feet leaving cuts, blisters, bruises, and callouses (see pictures). My big toe feels like its broken and one of my friend's toes is still numb after 2 days. I understand some heels are uncomfortable but these were beyond painful, after just an hour of wearing them. I don't blame the attendant but Windsor should really consider the shoes they sell/promote. read more

Went here the other day with my best friend. The staff and management was literally the friendliest I have ever experienced at any shop. The staff combed through the dresses to find ones for us in specific sizes and cuts and as soon as we were ready they led us to a private changing room. The staff members picked out a few cute dresses to try them on with us. Both my friend and I ended up with some awesome outfits to take home. I have never shopped at Windsor before, but walking past today I saw a really cute "Red, Wine, and Beer" shirt that I really wanted. Entering the store, an employee said hello, and asked me a question that three times I couldnt hear / understand. She then asked me what brought me in, and I mentioned the tank top. I walked over, and couldnt find any more besides what was on the mannequin. I found her again and asked for her assistance. She started walking over there with me when another customer walked in. She asked the woman if she had a return, and the woman said yes. She said, "I will help you now", looked at me, and said she would be with me in a few minutes. She was helping me, walking me to a shirt I asked her about, and another customer walked in AFTER that, and she stopped helping me and went to the cash register and completely stopped helping me. Customer Service FAIL. I stood there for a second, then fully realized what happened, and left the store. I will not return to shop here, ever. read more

I had the best shopping experience on Saturday with Letecia and Klarissa! I only needed to exchange one item but left with much more since they found the cutest outfits for my body type and style. I usually don't have the time or energy to dig through a store and look for outfits but I didn't have to lift a finger here! I wish there was a way to leave no stars. My daughter had the best experience yesterday with a great sales associate whose name I do not have. She bought an outfit for her 21st Birthday. By mistake they left the sensor on which was a bit of issue to come back since she has a busy schedule. I went back to the store with her on her birthday to get the sensor taken off. We were barely greeted by Imani if thats what you want to call it. She said it happens all the time and was unaplogetic about it. She grabbed the top and shoved it in a bag while we looked around. I asked her if she had these pink shoes in a size 9, she had me look for the size and then came and grabbed it out of my hand. When we were checking out she was on the phone the entire time. Before I went into Windsor, I spent the whole day looking for the right dress for an event I was attending that next evening. After having no luck I decided to run into Windsor (on my way out) to see if I could find anything there. To my surprise, I ended up finding the PERFECT dress for my dinner event!!! I love this store!! They gave me no problem returning my dress when the one at Main Place Mall was of no help whatsoever! I called and spoke with Mallory on the phone and told her about the terrible experience I had at the Main Place Mall location. She was extremely apologetic and assured they would help me if I made the drive there. When I arrived, the associate Klarissa, already knew of the situation and helped me immediately while apologizing for the behavior of an associate at another store!! I Will never shop at this store ever again solely for the rude, unprofessional incompetence of Anecia (store manager) She is the absolute worse!!! I have been dealing with her for years now. I have already complained to corporate and the district manager about her in the past. The fact that she is still there and representing this retail chain is beyond me. She has zero business in any position of customer service. I am a long time loyal customer of Windsor and spend a lot of money both online and in store. Although I live very close to this location I try to avoid it at all cost as this manager makes me cringe whenever I go in and she is working. I much prefer driving to the Irvine Spectrum location where the employees actually value their customers and are professional and helpful. Tonight I once again had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this same miserable manager. I was returning a 30.00 dollar dress with receipt and tags attached. I was well within my 30 days from ship date to return my online item, however once again she decided to intentionally NOT do my return even though I showed her what the return policy stated online. When I walked up to the counter to attempt to make my return there was no "hello" "May I help you"? No customer greeting whatsoever. Just a very rude aggressive "Do you have the card this was purchased on? I said yes and she looked at receipt and proceeded to argue I was passed the date. I asked her to contact customer service as that is not what the return policy stated and she told me to step aside so she can help the next person. What kind of customer service is that. Telling a customer to step to the side to help someone else behind me when I was there first and she had NOT yet helped me. I was so upset I told her I couldn't believe that she was still there and my dissatisfaction with her continuous lack of customer service and she told me then "I don't need to shop here then" She was so quick to dismiss my complaints/concerns and her response was to just tell a customer "NOT TO GIVE BUSINESS TO THIS STORE ANYMORE" Well that is exactly what I am going to do. I needed a ball dress (I admit, a bit last minute) and the two sales associates (Anecia and Samantha) who helped me around the store were awesome! They were very attentive and helpful! Randomly stopped by here while shopping at the mall because I saw a skirt on display that I was so desperately looking for all day. Happened to go in looking for a skirt and found a couple that were super cute, and great pricing! I wandered around a little more and came across a black bootie on display, the perfect shoe that I had also been searching for all day. I asked the sales associate Mia if there were any in other sizes. Turns out the shoe on display was a size 9 and it was the last pair in that size. Only issue was, the second shoe was missing. I am in awe. I have been struggling shopping online and I'm person previously shopping here. I even went to another Windsor a couple days before and couldn't find ANYTHING I liked. I came to this Windsor and had the same experience so I was about to walk out until EMILY came up to me and asked what event i am going too and what kind of style I am looking for. She was so helpful, she walked around and picked different stuff I didn't even think to take off the hanger. She took me to the dressing room and I tried on a few different stuff and styles I've never worn before and found the cutest outfit for tonight! I thank Emily so much and this Windsor store is honestly lucky to have her on their team. If I could give this store a negative rate I would. I've honestly always loved coming here to buy my dresses , but today I had the worst experience. I went to go return 2 things that I haven't worn (keep in mind my wedding is on Friday and I haven't even touched anything) so I have an item with a tag , which I took off but who doesn't do that? It's brand new and not worn and the employee tells me for sanitary reasons she can't give me my money and once you buy it no returning LIKE OK NEXT TIME LEAVE A FREAKING SIGN SO CUSTOMERS ARE AWARE AND WONT LOOK DUMB AT THE REGISTER.
