Always like this Macy's it used to be The Broadway many years ago. It was nice back then and it is still nice now. Lots of parking and there is even covered parking in the garage ,great in the summer months. They carry a nice selection of clothes, jewelry ,cosmetics, and household goods. Christiane waited on me upstairs in the women's department last evening. I could tell she didn't feel well, so I asked and she said it was just a headache. I could tell she greatly minimized how bad it was and that she had a bad migrane. She showed a lot of professionalism and went above and beyond in her job just like she always does. She treats her customers exactly the same, goes the extra mile, and is really wonderful to Macy's customers. The men's finish line shoe department never has anyone at their counter. Today I stood there for awhile and watched several customers walk away because they didn't want to wait. I tried to call the store phone number while standing there and it went to voicemail. I've been in several times to this location and the same issue at finish line. As I left not purchasing anything I walked by the women's finish line upstairs on my way to the parking garage and there were two associates just standing there chatting. I ended up purchasing my shoes on amazon on the way to my car. I'll have them tomorrow. read more

For some reason or another this macy's has a better selection of shoes than the one at Scottsdale mall. In the past year I found a pair of Calvin Klein sandals for half off, and they carry the higher end, younger brands- which is great Nordstrom's selection tends to be for an older crowd. read more

I bought some furniture from macy's and have been extremely disappointed with the quality of the furniture and the delivery service. I had to replace a night stand three times because of defects. The worse part of this is the delivery of the furniture. Delivery is never accurate with their delivery time and will keep changing throughout the day. One time, they tried to deliver at 10 p.m. at night. This is has been a very bad experience and I will never, ever buy furniture from Macy's again. read more

I remember when they were redoing this store and when they finished all I could say was, is this all they did? There is nothing enticing about the building at all. I bought nearly a thousand dollars of headboards, I never opened the shipping boxes, and they refused to honor their refund policy and furthermore the reps have all the details wrong and I have not received any help in a month since purchase despite countless hours on the phone talking to the sales rep and corporate. I recently went to the Lancôme make up section. The women working there seemed as if she didn't want to help me because she was completely ignoring me. I asked her a few questions and she would answer in a rude tone. Finally a lady from the channel stand had to call her over to me. She found me a foundation in our color that was extremely dark for my skin but during this long hour and a half process she proceeded to help other people reguardless the fact that she was helping us first. I then asked her about one of the sales they were having because I was confused about it and just needed some clarity and she proceeded to say "why don't you just read it". Enough said Judith was racist and extremely rude. I will never return to that Macy's location. read more

There were only 2 salespeople working the Women's Shoe department on a busy Sunday afternoon. Since no one can try on shoes unless a salesperson gives them the sizes they want, this took forever to get any service and try on any shoes. After waiting for so long, and they didn't have my shoe size, I just left. Great selection, if only one could get some to try on! read more

I visit Phoenix often and like the convenience of the mall from my hotel. The mall is lovely but the Macy's at this mall is the reason why brick and mortar is disappearing. The employees act inconvenienced and indifferent. When I asked a question to a clerk, she was less than helpful and clearly annoyed that I spoke to her. Never mind the fact that she had no one in line that she was helping. But, this behavior was not isolated. I walked into the store and went to the sunglasses area. The employee ignored me. I walked to the makeup counter. No one was to be found. I went up the escalator. Everyone was completely disinterested in assisting. It was as if everyone was volunteering their time and wasn't being paid to actually work there. To add insult to injury, I went to catch the escalator down and the escalator was out of order. This store is a hot mess. There are clothes tossed around as if the customers cared as much as the employees. Macy's has no concept of customer service. Nordstrom's is the way to go. At least they'll smile when they take my money! read more

You would think that during this time keeping retail viable would be a top prioirty for any retailer right? With the ability to shop at retails stores reduced to zero, keeping online ordering working flawlessly would be a key element of exiting on the other side of the crisis intact if you were Macys. You would think wrong if you thought that. After being a platinum long term customer I cant get Macys to straighten out orders that they mis-shipped. I have contacted them at least 4 times to get the issue resolved. I thought after the last call the issue was resolved. Today my recent order was canceled, I call Macy's yet again. I contact Macy's which seems to be run out of a 3rd world country, I spent 39 minutes mostly on hold after being polite ( 866-282-8977) I ask to be transferred to someone that can help me, I was disconnected on purpose I think after the eternal hold. If you do get someone its in a third world country who is either unwilling or unable to help and just hangs up. I guess on the other side of this Macys wants to simply cease to exist. I figure I will be doing more business on DILLARDS.COM or Amazon they seem to want to sell things. I just want my orders to be filled and my card turned back on after they made the shipping mistakes. 4 times I have called them without success they have called me zero times. I wonder if I can get a human to contact me that is empowered to fix it. They tell me the only way to fix it is to come into the store!? Really, what planet did you just land from? Anyone know how to get a human to fix it? Probably would take less than 5 min if you got someone who cared and were empowered and knowledgebale. read more

Its not exactly the pinnacle of fashion for anyone in any sense. And its definitely not the place to find a bargain. And they have their own brand called the Charter Room. Macys isn't what it use to be. The materials in a lot of their men's clothing has gotten cheaper, and the staff is pushy and stupid. I walked in seeking some anti rides cream to hold the aging process back. I was looking in the men's fragrance department and a little twenty something associate had to make his presence known. He marches me over to Clarins and drills me on what I want. I said I had a few questions and then got the hand off. When I asked the female Clarins associate the difference between Origins and Clarins anti rides she said Clarins is organic. HUH? Um ok. So I rephrase and she still can't answer. She then says if you don't like it you can return it. It doesn't boost my confidence in the product. As I leave I notice the men's department is a mess. As I was walking out one of the sales reps was looking at themselves grooming in the mirror in the shoe department Store is messy. Now I know why I usually shop Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack. read more

Macy's...what can I say? I only really came here because I received a duplicate gift for Christmas and came in to exchange it for something else. As I was perusing their wares, however, and I came to the realization that everything was horribly overpriced. I'm not the most frugal gal in the world, but when a decorative pillow (roughly a foot long and 1/2 a foot wide) is $110, I'm appalled. Ugh...I just wish I could find something I could use here. DO NOT SHOP AT MACY's!!!! I drove over 60 miles to buy a Rowenta iron that was advertised on a flyer. i found the iron, but when i went to pay for it they told me I could pay for it, but had to come back on January 26 to receive it! "What"? I could not believe what I was hearing. I asked if they could send it to me. They said no, I had to come back to the store. I could not understand the reasoning behind such ridiculous "marketing" but I hope the person who came up with this innovative thinking is immediately fired. The store was very vacant; only a few shoppers. Now i know why....and I will not shop at Macy's again. Too many other department stores who are interested in the buyer! I flew into town Thursday for a wedding. I had been thinking about buying new slacks, a shirt, maybe a jacket for the last few days but I didn't. So the morning of the wedding around 11am I strolled in to see what I could find. The woman working in the men's suits section really went above and beyond what my expectations were to help me find the right stuff and sizes. And not only that but the seamstress literally ran down to measure and hem my pants. I didn't even see her drop them back off I really think she was literally running! They both deserved a nice tip (i didn't didn't have any cash and I was in a bit of a hurry or I would have offered a tip although I doubt they could accept it anyways?) Long story short I left with what I was looking for, in a very timely manner and impressed with the service I recieved. read more

A few bucks on the balance that I was told that I had paid in full, cost me dearly in your obscene interest rates and late fees. and i have 10k sitting in my checking account. good thing i got talked into opening up that macy's account! I never buy shoes at Macys becuz Nordstroms is the best for shoes and Clothes.. BUT i had gift cards so i went in to use them,, If your buying tennis shoes you have to buy them from the Finish line Dept which is leased from Macy... They were so rude to me the guy was over in The watch dept Talking and they had to call for him..He didn't say a word to me when i asked him t get the shoes i wanted ... When i told the Manager He said I know we hear this all the time .. They are a leased Dept and we have a hard time making them following the Macy way.. read more

We waited in line for two hours outside in the summer heat this morning for MAC's free Lipstick promotion. It was stated on MAC's website that Macy's would be participating in the free lipstick promotion since they are a verified seller of MAC. The store manager came outside just minutes before the store opening, to inform the line of hundreds of customers that their location will not be giving away free lipstick. The manager proceeded to argue with the customers about not participating in the promotion despite MAC's website. It would have been much more professional to have posted a sign beforehand for the hundreds of customers to have read that the store was not participating. It also would have been more professional to have informed the line of customers sooner that they were not participating, as to not have hundreds of people waiting outside, sweating in the heat. I've never been more disappointed at the lack of professionalism displayed by this Macy's location. read more

I just spent over $9,000 on 2 separate couch orders with a scheduled delivery date of Saturday the 8th for one (the other is a custom order and would be delivered in July). I was told the one couch would be delivered between 8:45 and 10:45 in the morning and rescheduled my day to accommodate (with family in town for the weekend staying with us). I was called at 9:45 to tell me the truck broke down and they could not deliver that day. With such a large company I would think they could figure out how to have a back up truck to deliver in the Phoenix valley! After sitting on the phone with customer service for another 30 mins., a request was put in to reschedule the delivery for Monday and I was told I would receive a follow up call within 24 hours to confirm. I did not receive any type of communication and therefore called first thing Monday morning to find out the status. I was told that there was no delivery scheduled and the earliest they could deliver was the 22nd! I have since dismantled and sold my existing couch so I have nothing in the meantime and keep getting passed around. They will not allow me to pick up the couch or figure out how to get it to me sooner and their response times are ridiculous. After spending so much on furniture I cannot believe they won't hold up their end of the deal. read more

A salesclerk sees me with 15 items in my arms and instead of offering to set up a dressing room for me she says "are you finding everything ok?" ummmm......no - I cant find a thing............geez..........are they depriving the sales people of oxygen in Phoenix???? So I lug all my crap to the room alone - no one ever comes to check on me and when I'm ready to purchase, I have to cross the entire store to find an avalable clerk.....and she of course is hiding out by the clothes racks instead of behind the register so I have to search high and low for her..........I predict this is one of the next big stores to fold.......only those with great customer service survive read more
