We asked her questions and she made it clear we were bothering her. Previously (including today) we asked about a military discount and they always threw a bone. Her answer was "there is no official military discount" so I jokingly asked if there was an unofficial one and smiled. She just rolled her eyes and treated us like we were freeloaders. And so, I wandered into the shoe department after I hunted down someone in cosmetics to buy my favorite perfume. Michael Kors. That salesperson was cordial but didn't go out of his way to do anything other than take my money. Now the shoe department was mess. I wasn't looking at the sale shoes. I was looking at the silver sparkly shoes for an upcoming event. The floor size was a size 5 1/2. Luckily that's my size because again, not one single associate approached me. I took the pair of shoes and sat down and tried them on. I was sitting directly behind the cash register. Both the male and female salespeople saw me sitting there trying on the shoes and walking around in them deciding if I need a size 6. They literally did not acknowledge my presence. They both looked over at me and said nothing. They didn't ask if I might need another size or if I even wanted to buy them. I was planning to buy them. And the price tag was $100. But I figured why give them my money when they ignore me and don't bother to even ask me if I need help. So disappointed in this place. I've never been a big fan of Macy's. I prefer Nordstrom. This is definitely a very good down-low spot for middle-tier designers (Calvin Klein, DKNY, Polo, Kenneth Cole, Boss). The sales are on the tremendous side. No one shops here for these designers. But if you're looking for Ed Hardy or Ecko clothes on sale you won't find it. I guess that's what is popular among the demographic in Riverside and the outlying cities. It's almost worth the trip here if you're 30 miles out. I have my eye on a Boss Car Coat that's 30% off now. It'll probably be 50% after Thanksgiving. Hopefully 70% before Xmas. Imagine landing a Boss Car Coat, originally retailing for $795 for under $250! That's a ridiculous deal, almost qualifying as tremendous. This Macy's is so dead, I can afford to let it sit. No one will buy it at $250 either. This is the only perk for having that east coast style in Riverside County. I've seen no one that even remotely mirrors my style. Nice! This is definitely one of the smaller Macy's I've been to, as well as one of the messiest. If I know I have the intention of shopping at Macy's I'd plan the day out and go to the neighboring more larger and clean store like the one in Victoria Gardens or the Brea Mall. The only thing this store really has going for it is the convenient location and the fact that is has the other mall stores surrounding it. Just found out that even though the store will be closed tomorrow the manager schedule all the back of the house people to work. How inconsiderate can you be. Terrible customer service, I got a gift given to my daughter last week, I couldn't exchange it for a bigger size and the lady said sorry I can't help you folds the shirts and pushes them across the counter and says give them away as a gift... What the f#$& I just got them as a gift why would I want to give them away I want a bigger size worst part is they were sitting on a table right next to the cash register! We arrived close to 9 pm. They were open until 10 pm due to a holiday sale. We don't live in the area but were visiting my mom. We wanted to take advantage of the sale since we needed new sheets for our cal king bed and the prices listed on the mailer were really good! Fortunately there weren't any crowds and the clothing racks upon entrance looked organized and "shoppable" despite the sale. The one by my house never looks that good. We went upstairs to housewares and found the sheets we wanted for $45! They were 800 thread count and match perfectly with my comforter. My frustration was finding a cashier to ring us up. They were closing their registers despite the fact they were still open for another hour. I had to go to four. By the time I found one, she was a bit annoyed. On the good side, I got an additional percentage off my sheets so I only paid $36 for cal king sheets!!!! read more

Macy's can rest assured that Ronald is upholding the quality that me (the consumer) wants and loves. I shop at Macy's because, even though I am not wealthy, I feel like a queen when I'm there. And it is because the customer service is exceptional!!! Ronald kept that feeling alive!!! He worked with me to ensure that my purchase would be able to qualify for the "free gift" and treated me like a princess. I love their clothing departments and kitchen department but not the shoe department. I was at their shoe department a couple weeks ago on a Saturday evening, which is pretty busy time. They only had 2 shoe service attendants and I had to wait 20 minutes just to get someone to get my shoe size, then I'm waiting for the guy to bring me the shoe size for another 15 minutes, so I leave because it was way to long. read more

they pay lower and the manager is mean telling me because you only work as a seasonal and they have a horrible schedules and they believe what supervisor gossips to them and even the supervisor don't teach me how to do the scanning the manager won't still believe me even my co-worker Bianca and Monique is the only person who teaches me to do the scanning but the supervisor never did cause I only do scanning and they only teach me during training only for one day and even my supervisor only told me to do arranging clothes only the sizes accordingly and the supervisor is annoying because they judge your every move even when I just arrived at work all the clothes , coats , dress , t-shirts & pants are arranged the sizes accordingly the manager doesn't care about their employees but they care about themselves and they care about the supervisor because they have a higher rank read more

This review is for the Clinique counter inside Macys. I went to the Origins section to get the makeup I usually wear. No one was there to help me but a Clinique associate (MONET) saw me and came over to help me. That wasn't her section so she didn't know the products like her own but she took the time to help me anyway. She didn't try to sway me over to Clinique at all but because she was so helpful and genuine I WANTED to buy the products she was familiar with, which was Clinique. She spent sooo much time helping me find a powder that I initially went in for, plus two more cosmetic products. I was looking for a Mother's Day present, preferably shiseido, but decided to pick up a Clarin's gift since Joanie was so passionate about Clarin's and skin care. She has beautiful skin and gave wonderful tips on application. I ended up buying two Clarin's sets for my mom and mother in law. Joanie gave me some samples to try for myself. I called Macy's today to ask if they took returns on Puma.com purchases. The associate Robin stated yes because Puma is a Finish line product and they are in Macy's. I drove to return shoes with original box and return labels if needed. The guy at Finish Line in Macy's told me that I could not do it. He did apologize for me being given wrong information and me having to travel there. Once Cindy, a supervisor for Macy's got involved I immediately became displeased with the service. She basically blamed me for her staff giving me the wrong information. She was very unkind to me and became passive aggressive by stating the same thing to me over and over again just to be rude and upset me. I heard what she said the first time and I told her so but she continued to say the same things anyway. I told her that I did not like how she was treating me. I asked for her name and job title but she only gave me her first name and nothing more. She laughed at me while walking up to tear off a piece of the receipt tape; like she was entitled to mistreat me and nothing would be done about her behavior. I am a customer at Macy's as well because I do shop there a lot. I have been turned off by Cindy's behavior towards me. It was hard to believe she was a supervisor because she was so unprofessional in her approach. She actually did this in front of her employees and my children. So what type of leadership is this? She did not portray good customer service or any empathy for my inconvenience at all. She needs a job in another profession because she is not a people person. To top it off I have purchased shoes from Nine West.com and was able to return them there at Macy's not that long ago. I gave her this information and she still repeated the same thing again. Hello everyone I had a very bad experience today at Macy's I bought 3 pairs of glasses from sun glass hut 2 for my wife and 1 for me but I was not sure of wanting them it's been 3 days since I bought them havent worn once because my wife wrapped them for Christmas went to return them today but the Mexican lady behind the cashier station just made excuses and said I could not return them because of a small scratch on them I bought them that way I didnt even see the scratch but I know these people work on commission so they dont want to exchange them I havent even worn them yet you know how many people on before Christmas eve are looking at glasses and touching them I didnt even bother to look at the glasses because I put my trust in a company like Macy's that has been around forever I asked for a manager the cashier told me come back tomorrow I said never mind all just keep them but I will never shop at Macy's again I spent over 3200 dollars this Christmas at Macy's mostly on clothes jewelry and a nice watch wish I didnt wont be back there worse than the irs all stick to Nordstrom read more
