Love this place for the food! I will never look at wings the same the crunch and how lightly breaded these wings are is very special. Love all the sauces we have tried so far which is the soy garlic, soy, bbq, sweet and spicy, mango. All of these are very good and unique the wings are bursting in flavor and always fresh cooked to perfection. The place itself seating is good and the staff is pretty attentive. I don't think I'll ever have anything to say about Mad for Chicken. I used to always go to the one in flushing when I lived around there and now that I'm near FH I'm so happy this location is just as good. You can truly never go wrong with the classic half soy garlic and half spicy soy garlic combo of wings and drumsticks. I noticed they now have other flavors/sauces and I definitely want to try those next time. I came here on a Sunday evening and it was pretty calm which was nice. I'm dropping my star rating. The fried chicken drumsticks and wings are no longer superb. They admittedly cook them faster in order to cater to GrubHub by frying more chicken faster. I have been to this restaurant at least 4 times. The food sounds appetizing...but it has never lived up to expectations. I don't know why. As far as the fried chicken, I'll be frank...Popeyes spicy is 10x better. This is an ok date place. I went there recently. Our drink order took 25 minutes and it only was delivered because I asked where it was. We got the appetizers and our main course before the drinks came. Short Version: Good wings. Terrible, awful, very bad service. I was glad to see when Mad For Chicken opened in Forest Hills. Although it's a bit expensive, I like their wings. When they first opened they got off to a rough start - service was very slow and orders often came late. Still, I wanted to support a local business and things started to get better. Unfortunately, it looks like they are back to their old ways. Here's a timeline: 12:05 -Place Order for pick up on their website 12:30 - Wings are scheduled to be ready for pickup. (This is a time they picked - not me). 12:32 - I arrived, just a bit late. No one is at the front desk. It's relatively empty, with only 3 or 4 tables occupied. 12:36 - After nearly 5 minutes of being ignored someone rushed by to tell me my order isn't ready yet. 12:41 or so - I can see the order come out of the kitchen. It is placed on the back counter. 12:45 - Waitress comes up and says she is packing up the order and it will be ready soon. 12:51 - Waiter comes out with order and hands it to me. Then grabs it back. Says I need to confirm the order in the app. I explain that I've been waiting 20 minutes and that I ordered and paid online and ask what I need to confirm exactly. He repeats I need to confirm it in the app. I explain I ordered directly on the website. Apparently he has confused me with a delivery driver. He checks again and hands the order back. He says things are slow because they "just opened" (at this point they've been open for nearly an hour). read more

Picked up soy garlic chicken wings 2x a few weeks ago. Comes with a side of radish. I got a side of corn salad which I think was canned corn with a Cole slaw dressing. It tasted fine but they should've used fresh or frozen corn...I don't buy restaurant food so I can eat canned products. For ex. they have crab salad but they don't use real fresh crab. Just odd to me. The chicken wings are good, fried well but I wonder what's in the sauce. The size is fine. I don't expect a turkey wing. It's from a lil chicken.. they're crispy and if you've never tried Korean wings then you'll probably enjoy it. But they do not taste good the next day. Just tastes a bit weird.. like it's old after a day. Also tried the spicy wings. Didn't care for it. CRUDE BEHAVIOR!! My son asked me to meet him in Queens to tell me about his engagement. He took me to Mad About Chicken. I walk with a cane because I have spinal problems. I got to the restaurant, and it was half empty. They told us that it would be a 30-40 minute wait. Tables for 4 sat 2 people, and the communal table (which holds 12 people) was tied down with 3 people, and the host did not want to ask people to slide down. There were 2 people ahead of us sitting in the chairs. I cannot stand up, so my son and I decided to sit at the bar. There was only one seat, and my son helped me sit on at the bar. He leaned into the bar when the girl at the bar said that we had to leave. She said that it was their policy not to serve anyone standing at the bar. When asked why, she said that people standing would trip their servers. There were literally 8 feet between the bar and the table. We pointed the large space out to her, and she said we would have to leave the bar if we could not find another seat. That Is ridiculous! She stood there like a JHS mean girl. We decided that we were going to leave since I could not stand there for 40 minutes. When my son asked for the manager, the host started to laugh like an inbred mental midget and said that the manager does not care. In fact, he said, she does not even come to work. If you want to make a complaint, you have to call her, and she does not return phone calls. What kind of service or management is that? The host continued to laugh and said that no one cared. This is how this place treats people with health disabilities. I am filing a disability complaint with the Department of Justice. read more

I have come here several times and ordered delivery once - mad for chicken is LEGIT! When I came for happy hour, we got a whole lot of food for really reasonable price. The dumplings were solid, truffle fries delicious and the chicken covered in garlic soy and spices was awesome; surprisingly, the drinks took the meal to another level - I thought they would just be a nice compliment but honestly could just come here for a drink and be ecstatic with the quality. I had 4 margaritas after work for 20 bucks before 6 - can you really beat that? NOPE! Came another couple times for dinner and ordered the drumsticks and the wings; was a little weary looking at the smaller size than what I'm used to but man they are lean and filling; I could not stop pounding them. The chicken strips with fries were fantastic too... Sangria was solid and the coke was... a coke lol! Can't always go ham on the liquour! Chicken bowl and sandwich was dope; I gotta try the kielbasa bites one day. Speaking of the 10 piece chicken and order of truffle fries; got that for delivery once and it was restaurant quality and came promptly. A little stingy on the request for extra sauces and ketchup but hey maybe they were in a rush; no problem! This place has become my favorite place for fried chicken. For me, I can't go back to fast food chicken (KFC, Popeye's, Kennedy Fried Chicken) and also Bon Chon Chicken. Mad for Chicken has the tastiest chicken out of all of them in my opinion. True, their chicken is more expensive, but the quality and flavor is far superior than any of their competitors. My one issue is that their boneless chicken doesn't seem to be fried so it lacks the crispiness that the wings and drumsticks has so the flavor is therefore noticeably less than the wings and drumsticks. Otherwise, I would give them a 5 star rating. I've only ordered take out and delivery from them so I can't speak to the dining experience in any way. The signature wings are to DIE FOR! They are so beyond crispy and have such an addictive flavor while being lightly coated. The beef bulgogi bowl is another amazing meal, that is superbly seasoned with tender beef. Top it off with a fried egg to kick it up a notch as well! I cannot recommend this place enough. It's on a nice street. The vibe inside is excellent and most of all the food is delicious. The kimchi bowl is spicy (as it should be). When you try calling, I can never get through, and when you mention it to them they shrugged it off. Tried ordering online also glitches. I try. It to go through the third party services to give support for the business but they don't make it easy. Most of the time, end up going there and ordering in person and waiting 20-30 minutes. For this I would give 1 star until they improve their process. Now as far as food goes. I am big fan of their chicken. Always order the combo that's spicy. The chicken is always juicy.
