I came here for a very late lunch/ early dinner. No one else was here so I decided to sit at the bar. Ordered the Individual Combo Meal which had 2 drumsticks and 1 thigh and also included French Fries. Tried the Spicy Soy Garlic sauce and the Bourbon sauce. I wish both sauces had more flavor. Mad for chicken is my favorite Korean fried chicken franchise. The northern blvd location in queens is my absolute favorite. This place is much closer to home now, but the flavor is different and a little lacking in the fried chicken. The food does come out much faster (which is both a pro and con I suppose). Kimchi fries has way too much onions and no sauce other than the dipping sauces. Kimchi fried rice was okay but again the flavor is different. I think if they worked on the flavoring a little more, the food was better much better! As of right now, it is just okay. Music can be quite loud. When we finally got the attention of the only person working the front of the house and asked if we could sit somewhere quieter, she said "There are speakers all over the restaurant." ive been going to mad for chicken for a few years in RVC. always had decent service and food was fantastic.. we recently heard they are under new ownership. went last weekend to give it a try. stood by the hostess station abut 10 minutes and no one greeted us. one table was seated and they looked like they had been waiting awhile. we walked out . we figured to give it one more try. we went tonight again. one family sitting, 3 people waiting for take out. , the hostess came and sat us, and that was it. passed is by several times, and not even offered us what we wanted to drink. after 15 minutes of just waiting, we sadly walked out again. they really need to up thier game. customers need to feel special, not ignored. read more

I have been to the mad for chicken locations in Flushing and Bayside,NY. We were driving on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Center and we noticed a Mad for Chicken. So I said let's go in. The space was big and spacious. A full bar was located near the entrance. I always ordered the same three items, sweet potato fries, mild dumplings and soy garlic wings. The sweet potato fries were great. The mild pan fried dumplings filled with beef and pork were great. The wings were average. I didn't taste any soy garlic flavor at all. It tasted a little sweet. Decided to come here after a workout and since I am a big fan of mad for chicken, I wanted to give this location at Rockville center a try. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the moment so I expected the service to be a bit quicker but we ended up waiting a while for our bottle of soju and our chicken wings. Way too much food for 2 people, but truly the test for any MFC location! The sandwich mid too. The ice in my cup melted and i was basically drinking watered down soda. my lady couldn't finish her chicken bowl because it had more corn and vegetables than actual chicken. Decor is what you'd expect from their other locations, lots of wood and a bar atmosphere with loud music and high energy. We ordered the Parmesan Truffle fries, signature wings with soy garlic sauce, kimchi fried rice, and japchae. The flavors were good on the fries, but the wings came with fries and they did not let us know when we placed our order of the Truffle fries, so we had a TON of fries. If we had known we wouldn't have ordered the other fries. The chicken wings were crispy, but the breading was too thick and kind of just came off the chicken. The meat itself was not flavorful in the slightest. Kimchi fried rice was fine, again lacking a bit of the punch I was hoping for from the kimchi. Also the texture was a bit wet, I like my fried rice on the drier side. The japchae was good and had a little kick, but there were WAY more veggies than the noodles, so felt a little gipped there. Overall, glad I tried this location because I always want to try Korean Fried Chicken places. Would I return? Probably not.
