I came here for a very late lunch/ early dinner. No one else was here so I decided to sit at the bar. Ordered the Individual Combo Meal which had 2 drumsticks and 1 thigh and also included French Fries. Tried the Spicy Soy Garlic sauce and the Bourbon sauce. I wish both sauces had more flavor. Mad for chicken is my favorite Korean fried chicken franchise. The northern blvd location in queens is my absolute favorite. This place is much closer to home now, but the flavor is different and a little lacking in the fried chicken. The food does come out much faster (which is both a pro and con I suppose). Kimchi fries has way too much onions and no sauce other than the dipping sauces. Kimchi fried rice was okay but again the flavor is different. I think if they worked on the flavoring a little more, the food was better much better! As of right now, it is just okay. Music can be quite loud. I have been to the mad for chicken locations in Flushing and Bayside,NY. We were driving on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Center and we noticed a Mad for Chicken. So I said let's go in. The space was big and spacious. A full bar was located near the entrance. I always ordered the same three items, sweet potato fries, mild dumplings and soy garlic wings. The sweet potato fries were great. The mild pan fried dumplings filled with beef and pork were great. The wings were average. I didn't taste any soy garlic flavor at all. It tasted a little sweet. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the moment so I expected the service to be a bit quicker but we ended up waiting a while for our bottle of soju and our chicken wings. Way too much food for 2 people, but truly the test for any MFC location! My son decided he wanted to try Korean fried chicken and he didn't want to travel so I found this place close to home. We ordered takeout of 30 pc spicy soy wings; truffle fries; Mac & cheese; burrito bowl and chicken sandwich. The best thing out the bunch was the wings. The crisp was good as well as the flavor. I had a very good experience here. On that day, the manager Vitali was the only one working the tables. He did an amazing job, never stop moving and checked up on all the guests regularly. The kimshi bowl was phenomenal. Their Mac and cheese had a good consistency but could use some more salt and pepper. The fried chicken (mix batch) was cooked to crispy perfection.
