    Don Quixote Salad
    Cassandra A.

I love this salad chain. I hate that they dont have many locations near the west side of town but I will happily drive to get these salads. The Don Quixote is my all time favorite and I sub shrimp instead of chicken. It's always so flavorful and they are never stingy with the ingredients. It's always so clean in here and I like the variety of options. The staff always seem to be in a great mood which is refreshing to see. I like watching them make my salad from the glass. The salads are a little pricey but when you compare what you get, you are breaking even. They have plenty of seating options inside and options to sit outside. I ordered the Black Cherry fountain drink which has no artificial sweeteners, no high fructose corn syrup, and are made with natural flavors. I have had the caramels from the register area and they are always so good.

This place is very good, the salad is fresh and it's good to have a quick place to eat healthy among all the cafes and restaurants around Tempe Marketplace. It's a quick and very casual place to eat, everything is decent, simple and made to order at the counter. I would recommend it as healthy alternative to fast food in the area. Thumbs up!

So I've been here a couple times from working (doing Grubhub) and today I decided to come all the way from maricopa just to try it and wen I say it was everything I asked for i literally mean just that. The lady who made my salad gave me jus enough to fill my salad bowl and all the ingredients were fresh. Omg the best $20 I ever spent will definitely be back. Basil pesto and ranch is the best dressings mix I ever had

First Visit At This Location First Impressions Mad Greens has been very consistent with how they do things. Very friendly staff. I love the location. Crazy Ivan with creamy ginger dressing worth it. Mexicane cola very good. Their Maine Root Beer dispenser not working. I'm so glad Mad Greens made their way all the way to Tempe Marketplace.

Great tasting healthy food. Even the bread is good. Clean and friendly restaurant. The cashiers are very knowledgeable and give good advice. They will make your food the way you want.

Pancho Villa plus pickled onions...soooo yummy! I need to try to duplicate this at home. My new favorite salad!

YUM! Fresh, made to order salads / bowls. Quick, Fast Food that is fresh and healthy (depending on what you opt for). I would totally be here more often if I lived in the area. Great options and you can build your own too. So get creative if you like... mind you they charge for toppings so it's not like you want to get too crazy as it does add up. I went with their Pancho Villa and was super happy with my selection. This Tempe location has a dining area with probably about 16 4-tops so you can definitely eat-in and enjoy a meal with friends or family. Casual and easy.

We came here for lunch because of the positive reviews and are so happy we came here! I had the Cobb salad and my husband had the spicy bacon bowl. Both were delicious. Once you order, you watch your salad/wrap/bowl being prepared. Our server confirmed every item to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I didn't want onions on my salad and so got a free exchange for another item. The portions are generous and the ingredients fresh. We were treated to the garlic and red pepper hummus with pita bread platter. What a yummy and splendid surprise!! The service was efficient and friendly!! We will be back.

Great healthy options for lunch or dinner. They offer online ordering and delivery, and also have a rewards program. I have been to the location downtown, for lunch a few times, but have mostly visited the Tempe location for a quick dinner option, a few times a month. I have ordered grain bowls, salads, and their mac bowls, and have not been disappointed. I really like their choice of salad dressings, quite a few are vegan and gluten free. I get a few different dressings on the side for lunch salads for the week. My favorites are the Creamy Ginger, Cilantro Chili Lime, Chipotle Caesar, and their Honey Mustard. I order to go, and the orders are always complete and correct, and ready when promised. The ingredients are fresh, tasty, and they're always consistent.

Met up with the family at Tempe Marketplace, we were early for a birthday celebration so we all wanted to grab something to eat while waiting on time to fly, so after checking out what was all there to offer I knew I was more interested in getting a salad so off to Mad Greens I went. After checking out the menu I went with the Don Quixote Salad, it had a bed of mixed greens, southwestern chicken, mango, roasted corn, avocado, jack cheese with a creamy ginger dressing. The combinations of these favors were delish. This was a great tasting salad. I like that we are starting to have more of "fast casual" salad places to choose from because not everyone wants a hamburger or pizza. If looking for a tasty fresh salad go give them a try!

    Southwest bowl

I've only had Mad Greens once before but I remember it being a good experience! Although the salad was pricier ($10 regular, $11 big), I was willing to pay it because the chicken was really good unlike my favorite salad place. Last night I decided to order a Southwest bowl thinking it'd be a healthier Chipotle style bowl. We ordered online and the only customizations I made were asking for the dressing on the side and for an extra dressing. Upon picking it up, it was neatly packaged; the container has a spot for the dressing built in! My extra dressing was also included, for no additional charge. As soon as I opened it however, I was confused. There was NO chicken to be found. I looked at my receipt to see if I had accidentally omitted the chicken; I had not. I essentially had a bowl of wild rice with 6-7 scarce pieces of spinach for $10.95. Not pleased, especially when I chose to order from Mad Greens because their chicken is so good. Bf ordered a big Ty Cobb salad for $11.40 and his chicken was scarce that he could barely spare any for me. If you're looking for a Chipotle style bowl/rice/protein bowl, skip Mad Greens; there are cheaper, better options. Stick to the salads if you order Mad Greens, and maybe order in person to see how much chicken you get.

I'm always up for trying a Korean restaurant I've never been to! Met here with my boba (and now…read morekimchi) sistah for lunch and had a delightful time. I really wanted something with their house made tofu in it, and the oyster soft tofu soup sounded just right for me. It was a bubbling hot concoction served with a bowl of mixed purple and white rice with bits of squash mixed in. The soup was so good! It had a good amount of oyster and the broth was spot on. The tofu was just the right consistency for the soup and tasted great. You can request your spice level and the medium was just right for me. The rice was also really good and well prepared. The banchan we had for lunch were kimchi, marinated cucumber, seaweed, fish cake, and pickled cabbage and beet. The restaurant itself is spacious and we had our pick of seats. The walls in between tables are high enough to allow for privacy. Service was good and we were checked on as needed. I couldn't finish the meal so I took the rest of the soup and rice to go. The kiddo tried the tofu and now also wants to go here which I will happily arrange for our next family outing!

Come to think of it, I've only been to a few Korean restaurants, two which served Korean corn dogs and the other I ordered a Japanese dish. As I was telling a friend about all this, she suggested we have lunch together at one, and I suggested this spot. I'd been in this complex before and this restaurant is stand alone on the NE corner of Dobson and Main in Mesa. Plenty of parking as we arrived at their opening hour of 11am. We chose a table towards the back and our server brought us water in a reusable bottle and steel cups, pretty cool. There is a QR code on the table to view the menu and a drawer on the end with napkins, spoons, and chopsticks. Never seen anything like that and thought it was clever. The Kpop music playing was a fun touch. I had perused the menu previously and liked that they had a separate vegetarian section. Although I am not vegetarian, I do like to eat it because it helps me avoid pork. I was in between their soup and bibimbap and decided to order the vegetarian tofu hot stone bibimbap ($16.50). Gotta try the tofu as it's in the name, and it's housemade which is neat. Our food did not take long to arrive and they were presented steaming and crackling, love that. My bowl was lovely and had tofu and veggies including sprouts, carrots, and bok choy. The rice on the bottom kept cooking so it became crunchy and delicious. The server brought us hot sauce (gochujang?) and I asked for soy sauce, since there was no sauce or flavor added to my bowl. I did like that it was fresh and healthy, and a good portion. I would've ordered the tofu bibimbap from the regular section since it comes with an egg on top, maybe next time. I was most excited about their banchan and trying the different small dishes. I did like that our server told us all the items in it were vegetarian except the fish cakes, that was helpful. Wondering why there was an empty space in the plate, though. I really enjoyed the fish cakes, the kimchi, and pickled cucumber as the latter two came in a tasty hot sauce. Not a big seaweed fan but it was fine, and the pickled beets/cabbage were on the sweet side but refreshing. We had a nice lunch here and this was a good introduction to Korean food! I'd be interested in trying more items in the future as the appetizers and soups looked appealing.

However, that means I can speak to what's probably their busiest time of the day. The line was long, and there was a sign at the door that offers a discount if you order ahead online. We started to try, but we both wanted to ask questions about menu items so decided to stay in line. There's two areas in the small location, which you could consider more like a food stand that has an indoor area to order. It's VERY small. When you walk in, you're in line to order off the curated menu. If you want to build your own, you don't pay until after, but you have to leave the line and visit the Build Your Own area further into the space. I asked the girl at the register which sauces had dairy in them, and she gave me a wrong answer (per what the man at the BYO counter clarified later, and he gave me the impression he was an owner or manager). It was chaos in there - they were keeping tabs of orders by sticky note and word of mouth at the same time, and when my BYO bowl was done nobody would have noticed if I just walked out without paying. Obviously I paid, but I was concerned for them being that they're on a college campus and students can be reckless. We added those coconut/date energy ball things and sat outside in back. Our bowls were fine and it's definitely a solid cleaner food option - a great thing to have on campus - I would have loved this if I were still in school. The man who I think is an owner or manager actually came out back while we were eating, apologized to every group individually for the wait, and asked how the food is. THAT is why I'm giving this place four stars. I really appreciated the acknowledgement of the craziness and him being so personal with each table, and it ultimately made me happy to return (not during a lunch rush, though. Lol) If I remember correctly, the owners are former students and full of nutritionists/entrepreneurs and I love the concept. Keep going!

For an extra two dollars, they offered a deal where you can get one of their fresh pressed juices. That certainly completed the meal! I like the food because it has just enough flavor without it being overwhelming or over powering. The only thing I would note that is not as positive is the fact that the Brussels sprouts were a little mushy and salty. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The place is clean and the employees are super nice, friendly and will always give me a little extra food! This place is located on College Ave near the ASU campus.
