I'm a fan of Flower Child, 100%! I'm not sure if I find them or they find me, but I always seem to end up at one whenever I'm out and about, no matter what city I'm in. To be honest, this location has been a little hit or miss for me when it comes to food quality. I've had salmon that needed to be sent back, and a few bowls that just didn't seem quite right. Overall, it's still very good, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The seating is great, both inside and out. The outdoor area has a nice cooling mist and a fun, festive atmosphere, with lots of restaurants nearby. The Wi-Fi is fast, but this isn't really a study spot, so I wouldn't plan on camping out to get work done here. Even with the occasional hiccup, I still keep coming back because I love it! read more

I hand out 5 stars like candy so this is a different type of review for me. To start, the staff were so friendly. I wanted to like Flower Child, but the experience didn't quite land for me. The atmosphere felt too minimal and basic, and the food was bland overall. Unfortunately, I also didn't feel well after eating here, which made it hard to overlook the rest. This was the only meal I had Saturday and I spent all of Saturday and Sunday vomiting. I had to cancel plans and the pain was absolutely unbearable. If I'm going to get food poisoning Id prefer to be poisoned with great tasting food. Won't be back. read more

This place is located in an area of narrow streets near ASU where you have to pay for parking. However, they will validate your parking if you park in the Novus parking garage. Flower Child focuses on healthier options. I wish their website showed actual pictures, but how their main entrees work is that you pick a main protein from steak, chicken, salmon, shrimp, or tofu and then pick 2 sides which range from roasted carrots, kale salad, roasted sweet potato fries, red chile glazed sweet potato, roasted vegetables, smashed gold potato, fresh fruit, grilled asparagus, gluten-free mac & cheese, sweet corn & quinoa, brown rice, cauliflower risotto, and roasted brocoli. I found out about this place because I saw an ad for Fox Restaurant gift cards. I would suggest waiting for a major holiday and going to the following website: https://www.foxrc.com/ to see if they have a sale on their gift cards. I was able to get a sale that essentially gives me 17% (buy $120 worth of food for a $100 gift card) that includes not only Flower Child but a bunch of other restaurants. Then, if that wasn't enough, you can sign up to their E Bites newsletter to get $10 off any order that's over $20. Even though it says it's only for online purchases, the customer service is so good at these restaurants that they'll give you the $10 off by eating in the restaurant. I had a tofu entree with mac & cheese and roasted vegetables, a chocolate pudding, and Peruvian braised beef bowl. Each of my discounted food items tasted fantastic. The only foible I saw was that they need to list that the Peruvian braised beef bowl comes with onions. With such great deals, you should definitely give this place a try. read more

Flower Child is easily one of my favorite restaraunt in the valley. This was my first time going to this location by ASU and wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere was great and decorations were cute. Staff was very friendly! I ordered the tofu with cauliflower rice and roasted broccoli. All of it was good but I've had better broccoli at other locations. I also tried the rose lemonade. That was my 2nd time trying the rose lemonade hoping it would be better than last time, but it still tasted like regular lemonade to me which was disappointing. Flower Child is one of my favorite restaurant concepts ever. Fresh and tasty food at a decent price ... seriously, what could be better? I love this new location near ASU, and am sure they get a lot of foot traffic from students and visitors alike during the school year! Our group of four stopped in over the holidays for dinner, and it actually wasn't too busy! We ordered right away, although there was a little mix-up with the parking situation, and we ended up having to move our car while we were waiting for our food. (Note - the garage they validate for is NOT the Piedmont Garage right across the street. They DO validate for the ASU Novus Parking Structure around the corner). Either way, we got it sorted out! Between the four of us, we ordered a good sampling of the menu. I love their Avocado Caesar with grilled chicken, and a side of sweet potato fries. Their ranch is one of my absolute favorites anywhere, and it's the perfect pairing for their flavorful sweet potato fries. My husband ordered the enchiladas, which I've never had before, but may be a new go-to for me after stealing a bite of his. I really love how customizable their menu is - whether you're looking for just a protein and some greens, or a full entree. Whatever you do, don't skip out on dessert. Their chocolate pudding is to die for ... it tastes just like an Almond Joy, and it's vegan and gluten-free! read more

On what I would consider the corner of ASu campus. Service was fast and efficient. Sat outside for the perfect spring AZ weather. Food was fresh and full of flavor. Had the salmon with roasted vegetables and sweet potatoes fries. Everything tasted amazing. Salmon was fresh. Sweet potato fries were perfect between sweet and salty. I would ask for them to be more crispy next time (my preference). Everyone in our party really enjoyed our meals. We will be back the next time we are in town. read more

I usually order salads, but there's no wrong decision as everything on the menu is great. Expect a quick-moving line if you come during peak hours but nothing extreme. Street parking is available nearby for about $3/hour but the restaurant will pay for your parking at the Novus garage. read more

You order at the counter and they bring you the food. The food is really good, not too big and not too small. Prices seem a little high for what you get. I was so excited when I heard that flower child was coming to ASU. The dining room and patio are both gorgeous with nice lighting and decor. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered the kids meal with steak, quinoa/corn, and broccoli. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor. I'm quinoa and corn were also delicious. The broccoli was quite bland, but makes sense for kids! I thought this meal was a very reasonable size for the price. I tried my friend's enchiladas and they were delicious as well!! There were so many great options but we ended up going with the avocado Caesar with chicken and a build your own bowl with chicken, sweet potato, and kale. Once you order you sit down and the staff will bring out your order. Our food came out very fast. We enjoyed our meals and everything was very tasty! Perfect lighter portions for lunch. I recently visited Flower Child and placed and order for pickup. Unfortunately, it wasn't as efficient as I had hoped. I understand that the restaurant can get busy, but there was no eye contact or acknowledgment from the staff, and there didn't seem to be any sense of urgency. The pickup area felt unorganized, and overall, the customer service experience could use some improvement. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, I know that organization, efficiency, and providing additional help at the front counter during busy times can really make a difference. It would also be helpful to have clearer signage indicating where to pick up orders (DoorDash and other online orders) and how to contact a staff member, especially when there's a long line blocking the counter. I got to my house and when I opened my bag the takeout box didn't even have the lid on and my steak and risotto spilled on the side of the bag. Overall I love this restaurant and always enjoy the good food, but haven't experienced the greatest takeout service from them. read more

This is the third time I've ordered it to go.... I feel like I'm just licking a salt block. My broccoli, sweet potatoes fries, and even my chicken and cauliflower "risotto". It's so salty to the point I can't eat past a couple of bites. I'm sorry. The Gilbert location does justice. This one, not at all and I hate how much money I spend to get sent a pile of salt. I hope you guys can reimburse or something or me bring the food in for you all to try to eat just to prove how inedible it is. It's disgusting. I love Flower Child, but after last experience I feel like I will be unable to eat there again for quite sometime. Was sick within an hour and unable to leave the bathroom for hours after our last visit. Steak was mushy and the glazed sweet potato had a very overwhelming oil taste. read more
