Always pass by this cute little hole in the wall. I should have gotten the dolly but instead got the chele. It's very weird - didn't realize it has fizzy water which is my bad. It's a weird combo of strawberries, coffee and fizzy water. I wouldn't get a get. I'll try the dolly next time. Guy at window was nice

Simply has to do with my preference. I like smooth coffee. The Candied Yams coffee I ordered had too many notes of orange. I'm not a tangy coffee tasting girl. $8 for a small cup. I do like that they don't charge for alternative milk like oat.

Some good, some bleh. The barista was very nice and made the coffees pretty quickly. There wasn't a lot of seating but we were lucky to get one of the two tables out front. We got the Candied Yams and the the Apple Pie Matcha. The matcha was decent, but the Candied Yams latte was strange. I thought it was ok, but my wife didn't like it. It was a little thicker than I would have liked, but again it had a strange after taste.

My friend wanted to check out a boutique coffee shop while we were roaming Hollywood and ended up here due to the great reviews on yelp. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, I love to drink a simple black iced coffee - but that being said, I don't add anything into my coffee to dilute the actual flavor and I thought it was very good. My friend tried the Dolly Latte and felt it was good but nothing special. I'd actually be curious to try the Sage against the machine one of these days The service was fine. A simple window to place your order and a half a dozen tables to enjoy your coffee on the side walk. the color and design of the building is really cute.

Cute little coffee shop in midcity. Stopped by on our way to the Harriet Tubman Center, just a few blocks East. The service is friendly and quick. They do not offer vanilla, which was disappointing, but the honey latte was good. The pastries looked great, so I look forward to trying them another time.

4++ A walk up window in Hollywood where you can order some great coffee. This place is perfect for a grab and go pick me up. The service was great. The person was super friendly and was quick to help me. The vibe here is pretty chill because it is just really a place to pick stuff up at least in the afternoon. There are seats outside, but not very many people are sitting out there. Maybe it's a lot busier in the morning. I ordered orange dreamsicle latte. it was done well and it was the great mid afternoon. Pick me up that I was looking for. It's on a busy street in Hollywood so parking could get a little hectic but when I went, there was some street parking very close by. Great spot for a grab and go type situation and probably a great place to meet someone if you want to sit on the sidewalk along a busy street in Hollywood.

Super cute spot on sunset blvd. The girl working the counter was SO sweet, and really made the experience so much better . We got the dolly, really nice simple coffee, just like a regular late, we also got the dreamsicle, which is orange and vanilla- it was interesting.. if you like orange a lot, great. Not my thing.. I wish they had more options that weren't so... odd haha. But that's ok, the quality was there in the options they did have. Coffees were 7$ each Cute spot, I'm glad I tried it , They have cute merch, and pastries here that I didn't try.

Some of the best coffee I had in LA. The location just has an order window, but there are little tables and chairs set up on the sidewalk. I decided to try their specialty Azuki Latte which had notes of red bean and sesame. Very good, would definitely recommend trying if you're in the area!

Cherry pie latte & Pulp figtion

Mehh, this place was alright. The everyday coffee menu items were basic and boring. The seasonal items were definitely different and perked my interest. Prices were average, $4-7 a drink. There was limited street parking and a few small tables and chairs available outside. Service was alright, nothing memorable, he took our order, made the drinks, and that was it. I wanted something different, so I ordered the cherry pie latte. The cherry syrup or whatever it is they use was tart and bitter. I tasted cherry, but it overpowered the drink. Didn't taste like cherry pie. Tasted more like an underdeveloped squished cherry with a hint of espresso and milk. Ordered the pulp figtion and boy was that a disappointment. Tasted like coffee grinds and old espresso with fig seeds for texture. Yeah, I couldn't taste fig and actually couldn't stand the taste. The name caught my eye, and I liked the design. Other than that, not a fan of this place.

Good coffee. Nice little walk up off sunset with some chairs and tables to sit around in the nice weather and do some people watching. Service was great. Staff was friendly and offered suggestions

What a cute little hidden gem! This hole-in-the-wall coffee spot totally surprised me. The vibe is cozy and inviting, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The coffee? Delicious--smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Prices were really reasonable too, especially considering the quality. You can tell they take pride in what they do here.

Hole in the wall cafe with an interesting but limited menu. Pico Colado was decent. Regular latte was okay. Wish there was soymilk option! Street parking & outdoor seating only.

Mocha on left and Dolly on right - sitting at cute cafe table on the sidewalk.
    Jenn G.

Less options than I was hoping for, but cute seating area outside. Friendly window service. I had an iced Dolly with oat milk and daughter had an iced mocha with dairy. Both drinks were nicely, lightly sweetened and had a cute logo.

The main thing that stands out here is their 1987 coffee roaster which is the center piece of the cafe. They roast various single origin beans on a daily basis, so you know you can purchase some fresh coffee beans here. If you need your beans grounded, they do grind it for you depending on your brewing method. They have beans of light roast, medium roast and dark roast and sell by various weights for a very reasonable price. They also sell various tea leaves, baked goods (croissant, muffin, scones, bagel, Danish, coffee cake, Dessert Therapy cookies, and merchs. They also have a seasonable menu that changes. When I went, it was the Sakura season menu. Staff were all friendly and were very willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. Please note, the base coffee blend for each day varies and rotates on a daily basis For my visit, I tried ... 1. Buttered Coffee (4.5/5) The base coffee for the day was the Peru single origin, which was well-balanced; slightly sweet with a hint of tartness and nuttiness. They then add a chunk of butter into the coffee, which helps cut some of the acidity, but also is supposed to enhance the caffeine effect and give you additional energy from the fat. It does leave a layer of fat/oiliness so if you are not a fan of that, then this may not be for you. The butter did give it a subtle buttery flavor, which I personally liked. 2. Matcha with Sakura Cold Foam (4/5) The matcha was blended smoothly and was not grassy at all. The Sakura cold foam didn't really taste like Sakura (been to Japan, so know what real Sakura flavor should taste like), but instead, just tasted floral. 3. Columbia Supremo Whole Beans Full body and aromatic. Good for those who like to drink black coffee 4. Guatemala Huehuetenango Whole Beans: Crisp, acidic and a hint of nuttiness Glad I found this local roaster where I'll definitely be coming back to get some more fresh beans.

They have a few different series of matcha and that part is very fun here. I love how they explain all the information on each one and personally I liked the Hokatsu Series best which they say is nutty and creamy. I'm not going to pretend I could properly identify the nuances of all the different matchas but it made me feel fancy trying! In the non-matcha realm, the Madagascar Vanilla Latte is one of their most popular drinks so I had to try that. Also the Jacobsen's Salted Caramel was a seasonal special that sounded delish. I loved them both! The drinks are great, the staff is excellent, the parking is metered on the street so can be difficult. But whenever I can find a spot, I pop in!

She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That's becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience. The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.
