I was parked near Moto Pizza, thank goodness for those balloons to mark entrance (2/14/26)

I have never tried any of the popular baked goods from the Ballard Farmers Market or items featured at several wholesale sites. However, I was intrigued about the brick and mortar grand opening scheduled for Valentine's Day (2/14/26). Maddy's Bakeshop is in the vicinity where Interbay, lower Queen Anne, and Belltown seem to converge. Where Elliott splits to Western (keep left), I was able to snag a parking spot nearby. I must of stopped by during the sweet spot around 1030am, because there was only one person ahead of me and a few people seated along the window banquette. The retail site is organized with merch, flowers, baked goods (pastries, cookies, and cake), drip featuring Kuma Coffee, and tea from Miro Tea. The production site is situated further back. I am unsure though how someone with mobility challenges can manage the entrance step or navigate through a tight space, just an fyi. I still had other stops to make in Georgetown, so I exercised restraint and purchased one each: pain au chocolat ($7), grilled cheese croissant topped with a cornichon ($8), and a savory bun with ricotta, hot honey, and ricotta ($8). For current information, check out via website (maddysbakeshop.com) or Instagram (@maddysbakeshop). Definitely very accomplished with laminated and sweet doughs! I look forward to future visits and trying other featured baked specialties.

One of the best places for croissants in Seattle, I love stopping by her stand whenever I'm at Ballard farmers market. Her croissants are buttery and flaky with seasonal ingredients. The pistachio and raspberry croissant is my favorite!

SO HAPPY that Maddy has opened her bakeshop 5 min from my home! Cute shop!! I'm more of a savory person so I love the grilled cheese croissant , the jalapeño pepper croissant and the french onion soup croissant. But the earl grey kouign amann is totally delicious too! So many choices. Can't wait to try them all!!

My husband and I absolutely love their London Fog cake. My husband is Japanese and doesn't like…read morethings too sweet, but this is his favorite cake. He also hates to spend a lot on desserts and he will splurge to get a piece of cake. The slices are pretty big so one slice will usually be a treat for us twice, sharing it. Though we both agree that we think the slices aren't as big as before. We used to be able to nibble 3 times on the cake slices instead of twice. We are actually considering just buying a full cake to save on cost and freeze it and thaw whenever we want a special treat or for celebrations. Anyway, we super love this cake and highly recommend it.

While I always love their cakes, their location is a bit challenging and their wait times have increased. There's limited parking for the shop which makes it harder to stop by than before. I also didn't appreciate this past time waiting for 15 minutes for two cake slices. To me that's kind of crazy. While there were a couple of larger orders ahead if me, I still don't think it should take that long to get cake. On most days, I would give 5/5 just based on their cake. Today I was disappointed by how long it took especially when I saw the workers just talking amongst themselves.

If I could watch a ASMR video on macaroon crunches I would pick Trophy. Their macaroons next to Bakery Neuvou are pretty on par. My favorite flavor is pistachio and I've tried all the flavors. None of the flavors taste super artificial or fake. I tried a macaroon shop at Bellevue Square and the packaging is nice but the macaroons are a little hard. Trophy hits on all levels. The service is always great in this small shop. Whoever does the training, kudos on excellent customer care. I'll do a cupcake review another time. In short, they are excellent and very Seattle. Great job Trophy. Consistency throughout all of your locations. I appreciate it.

I have a few favorites from Trophy's including their s'mores cupcake that has toasted marshmallow and a classic yellow cake with chocolate frosting.
